If you haven't signed up please go here first! Sign Up Here! The New WorldIt's been years since humans left Earth. Leaving everything they knew behind. Homes, livelihoods, pets, everything. No one in the ship has been on Earth as many generations have passed since the destruction of Earth, guns, anarchy, bloodshed, biological warfare and nuclear wars. It was deemed uninhabitable and so humans took to the skies. Every year there is a ship "clearing" where the least valuable people are sent to Earth (over the age of 17). It is unknown by the ship whether Earth is even survivable, but with resources limited the ship numbers must be controlled. You have been selected in this clearing and in a few days you will be sent down to Earth, with basic knowledge of how to survive. Characters can die naturally! But as I said no killing. Hunting for prey is allowed however. The rules etc are explained on the sign ups! Please set up the start of your post like this! Character name // Locations // Mentions: (If they're talking to anyone, remember they must be near each other or have a way of communicating).// Any other details that seems like it is needed at this point in the roleplay. For example, severly injured, hunting etc! Here's an example Drew // Base Camp // No one // In the main base setting up shelter. Information for those beginning the roleplay!*A loud voice bellows through the speakers on board* "Welcome, you all know why you're here today. You are being sent to Earth. Whether you survive or not is unknown and up to you, once you leave to the ground we will have no control over you and it is up to you to fend for yourselves, you're not little kids anymore. Think of this as an, opportunity. An opportunity for you to make your name known. Good luck. *The speakers make a faint crackle as they switch off. The lights on board all shut off as the drop ship is disconnected from the main ship, making a large crack and creak, before a loud boom! As the thrusters switch on, sending the ship into Earth's atmosphere. The shaking and rattle of the ship is so violent many people if not all, pass out. It's unknown if everyone will even survive to the ground.* All is still on board, everyone silent in their seats. Did we make it? Currently known areas(I will try to make art for these! The drop ship ~ Where everyone starts.Items inside ~ About 3 days food and fresh water supply, mechanical parts and whatever fuel is left over. Drew // The drop ship // No one // Waking up Her head spun, had she made it? Or were they stuck in space forever. She placed her hand around searching for her seat buckle in almost complete darkness and unclipped it. Well she didn't begin floating about, meaning there was gravity wherever she was. She searched for the lights and door entrance, shuffling about trying to avoid bumping into anyone. "Hello!" She called out, hoping she wasn't the only one to have woken. 0 players like this post! The last thing she remembered was the drop ship taking off. The violent shaking must've knocked her out at some point... she couldn't quite recall when exactly she lost consciousness. She rubbed her temples, trying to get rid of the horrible vertigo she was experiencing. A little ways from where she sat, Scooter heard another passenger stir. It seemed like they were searching for something, perhaps a light switch? Then they spoke. "Hello?" She called out to the other person, feeling around her own seat to find her seatbelt buckle. She had hit her head somewhere along the ride, so a sharp pain ached in the back of her head. She heard faint voices as she entered consciousness, and she perked up a bit to listen. Calista // The Drop ship//Serenity, Drew, Scooter, and Skye Calista woke up with a groan, she felt as if she had been knocked out for more than a thousand years. Her eyes tried their best to adjust to the dark room, but it was simply too dark to see anything. She moved to release the seatbelt when her eyes picked up other people talking. “Um, yeah, I’m awake” she said, as if someone had asked. Her seatbelt popped free and she rose up only to fall back in her chair again. “Oh, Noodles” she whispered. One more try, she taught and rose up again. She could feel her right knee hurt a little, but it was nothing mayor. And then she heard a voice in the dark again, great, the lights out. “Can we just.. Get the door open? I mean, the oxygen will run out eventually and maybe there’s some light out there?” She hesitated when she started to speak, but followed through anyways. I think there are flashlights somewhere, we could possibly check the wiring, maybe there's just a loose connection? Is there a manual opening actually? I think there may be one on the under layer of the ship." She searched around further trying to find any other sources of lights or exits from the ship. She had listened quietly to the others speak as she tried to think up a plan. She joined Drew by the door, following her voice. "Hey, I'm right beside you." She announced as to not startle Drew. She threw her weight against the door with a grunt, hoping it'd budge under the combined weight of the two of them. It did nothing but make a metallic thud when her body hit against it. Scooter cursed under her breath. "Who else was with us in here? Do we know if any of them had any mechanic training?" She asked the others. They must've sent a Mechanic down with us. Its airtight so we didn't die in space. But it should be openable by hand. It's a small hatch I think. But if we can get out then we can find a way to open the main door with a lever maybe."
