I think this is a really good idea! Much easier than chatting on the forums if you're working on a project of sorts in a group of three or four, for example. Definite support!

It's a separate site made just for chatting. I use it for PvP on most online games and I know friends of mine use it as a sort of "group chat" with their internet exclusive friends.

Isn't that their fault? We have clan chats and messaging. Do we REALLY need a third option to talk to people? Not to mention the extra work load that mods will have to worry about with these private chats.

It's still a waste of code/time to cater to a niche group that isn't happy with the numerous messaging options Lioden already has and then refuses to use an external, highly recommended service to accomplish what they want. Discord is readily available for this exact purpose. Why ask the devs to spend time on something that already exists a mere mouse-click away? Shouldn't they spend time making new game features, updating art, etc?

It's important to note that Lioden is a browser-based simulation game, not a social networking site like Tumblr or Facebook.

Yes I understand that Gizani Leo, and everybody that keeps saying "discord that, and discord this". It would take more time but sometimes the original messaging system bugs me, and not everybody knows how to use Discord. Lioden IS a simulation game but I personally think that having this messaging system would help when making deals for trades and such, or asking other players how to do something. And what if you don't want to use the original chat box, because you would only like to talk to your 1-6 only internet friends and not 20+ strangers you don't know? It was just a small suggestion for some people, and wasn't just a "Add this just to waste time" thing it was more of a "This could help, and I don't mind if you don't like it. It was just an idea" thing. And no, I am not getting mad that you are not supporting/ think this is a stupid idea, I am simply explaining WHY I thought it'd be a good idea. You are fine with the decision you chose but other people think differently. And before you say anything, I am NOT attacking you. I am stating my IDEA'S, and REASONS. Thank you though, even if you didn't support.
