According to the Wiki, "Rosettes seem to be the most popular marking on Lioden currently, due to the mysterious nature of how they're passed on, and the fact that they can randomly pop up in any breeding. There are tons of user theories and conspiracies floating around regarding how Rosette works, but nobody truly knowsβthe code has yet to be cracked." I do. Every. Single. Father. Has. At. Least. One. Feline. Marking. See it? Maybe parents with Feline markings produce rosettes, but it's rare. So, white blaze must definitely be a factor because I just got another rosette from my king, and that's the only "cat" marking my lad has. https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794215413607 The mother was an NCL that had absolutely no markings. Not 100% sure this may help crack the code buttt... A couple of weeks ago (Maybe more than a month), I had this lioness that magically had a (Auburn) soft rosette on. I'm starting to think any Blaze is a factor for Red Rosette maybe? My King https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?mid=25194 has a onyx heavy rosette and bred with this lady https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794213540663 who popped out a cub with a random red rosette in slot 10: https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794215690318 King has Slot 10: Haliotis English Spots (100%) Tier 3 and mom has Slot 10: Sunset Crackle (14%) Tier 3 so I don't think either of those are related, but king does have Slot 8: Quartz Blaze (81%) Tier 1. And Askura {Main} (#230132) just said their king with White Blaze popped out Red Shaded Rosette as well... 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Askura your king has Haliotis Margay. But I doubt Blaze counts as a cat mark sadly. And going along with what could be a Shaded criteria: Mane markings. One parent has Back Hair which is a marking only shown on manes @Kioko your lioness has a mane marking as well which has been found to possibly be the criteria for Shaded. Yeah,it's a recent discovery that different roses have different criteria. Shaded: Mane Markings Inverted: Unknown. Don't follow the other criteria if Inverted Soft or Shaded Soft: Under- marking Heavy: Cat/Felidae markings (+lace?) 0 players like this post! Like? |
