Fish slowly drifted down the stream, following the current like alway's. Ase watched them silently, her ears propped up upon her head in interest as one fish swam right past her, causing her to lean forward slightly and flinch as it swiftly swam away from her dark shadow that loomed over the water. The caliphur rose to her paws, her tail flicking in confusion as she slowly followed the fish downstream, her dark green eye's stopping on the small waterfall. As the fish neared the waterfall, the lead fish leapt up into the air, practically flicking water in Ase's eyes before landing back into the water below. Growling slightly, Ase placed herself at the edge of the waterfall, her eyes focused ahead of her as she impatiently waited for one of the fish to jump in front of her.

It wasn't long until one of the fish emerged from the water, flicking water everywhere as it flew towards Ase. Lifting herself onto her hind legs, Ase parted her lips, her jaws clamping around the slippery fish and trapping it in her grasp, a satisfied growl escaping her lips. When she had jumped upward, Ase had not thought about the fact that she was right on the edge of the small waterfall (Like the ones in certain rapids, but this stream is calm so..), and so, without warning she fell backwards into the water, the fish leaping out of her teeth and swimming away swiftly, the rest of the fish following afterwards. Standing up, Ase's ears and tail drooped with disappointment. She wasn't a hunter of course, so she was horrible at catching and killing her prey. Waddling to the shore, Ase climbed onto dry land, water dripping from her drenched coat. Grumbling, Ase sat down beside the shore, her tail bristling as she continued to watch the fish swim by, this time not daring to even think about eating one.

Stiffening, the caliphurs ear twitched slightly, swiveling backward as it tried to detect some type of sound. Standing up, Ase looked around, her hypnotizing green eyes searching for some sign of someone watching her. Sighing away her caution, Ase shook her fur out, making it slightly fluffy before sitting back down, her feathery tail brushing against the grass as she relaxed and allowed the sunlight to soak up her fur and dry her.

After a few more minutes of drying herself off, Ase stood up, stretching before approaching the water yet again, though this time, she seemed calmer and more patient. As soon as a fish swam past, a swift paw reached out, scooping it upward and throwing it into the air before watching with satisfaction as it landed beside her and began to wiggle. Turning, Ase lowered her head and took the fish into her mouth, extremely satisfied that she had finally caught one of the fish who taunted her under the surface of the water.

Ase jumped, nearly falling back into the water which she dreaded and quickly avoided. Spinning around, Ase tensed, her body going into a spread out stance and her head lowering. Her feathery speckled tail bristling. "Who are you?" Ase didn't recognize this caliphur, though, it was plain to see he was another loner. Slightly calming down, Ase straightened her stance, her tail still bristled as a warning. Dark sage green eyes would glance over to the other caliphur, a bit of distrust in her gaze "Oh, your just another loner....What is with you guys and coming onto our territory? It's like you guy's aren't afraid of anything..." rolling her large rounded shaped green eye's, she remained standing, her dropped muzzle raising as a frown crossed her feminine features.

Blinking, she lowered her head and shook it, laughing slightly "Oh, my mistake. I guess the rain washed the charcoal away...I guess I'll have to fix that soon." lifting her gaze back onto him, she hesitantly stepped back away from him, her tail bristling a bit more "I apologize for my manners, it's just been extremely rough for our group...We recently lost someone very important to us and are still kinda getting over it...well, I am that is..." their previous leader was like a father to her, well, he was a father for everyone actually. It was a shame that he had passed though.

Sitting on her haunches, Ase shifted slightly "What I meant by that was that we recently have had many loners on our territory...some with very....snotty...attitudes.." looking back behind her, she pointed at the forest behind her, which led deeper into their territory "I needed a break from everything at the camp, so I came out here to get away from everyone for a bit...it's kinda like a safe spot for me since not everyone can make their way here and then back without getting lost." it was hard not to talk to Mark. Ase was just a bit lonely, to be honest, and wanted to talk to someone.
