TAMING

Because there are so few breeders of snake cats, taming is really the only way you can get one to begin with. Sometimes other people will sell their snake cats, but your best, and cheapest, chance is to tame one of your own.

To tame a snake cat, you must first choose what species you want to attempt to tame. You will then pay the taming fee, and a random snake cat will be rolled for you. The markings and color will be totally random, and there is no guarantee for what you’ll get. You could get something very common, or something very rare.

After your snake cat is rolled, you will decide whether to leave it or fight it in an attempt to tame it. If you already own a snake cat, you will also have the ability to “convince” it to join you, using your other snake cat. Fighting a snake cat increases the chance of taming it, but decreases its tameness when you own it, which affects when it can breed. Convincing a snake cat decreases the chance of taming it, but increases its tameness when you own it.

After you tame your snake cat, it is yours to do what you wish with it.

There are currently 10 wild snake cats available for taming! Who knows what you'll get...

EXPLORATION

After you have tamed a snake cat, you have the ability to take one on an exploration with you! You may explore three times a day for free, with up to three snake cats coming with you on an exploration. To explore, you must choose a zone and fill out the form on the thread. There is no exploration fee for the first three times, but any time after that costs 50 SB.

There are currently four open exploration zones, with more to be discovered. You can find anything from breeding items to enhancement items. You can also redeem items for Hissing Coins, the currency of the snake cat world. This currency can be used to buy certain items from the store.

The exploration zones are as follows:

Kishta: rocky and mountainous, a long river winds through this territory.
Jey: sandy beaches and roaring waves dominate this territory.
Huros: wide open plains and large prey are staples in this territory.
Alaik: a desolate tundra with evergreens and piles of snow describes this territory.

Abandoned Snake Cat Hatchling Kitten - a randomly rolled abandoned snake cat hatchling kitten. Not redeemable for HC.
Smooth Stone - can change the sex of a male snake cat to a female. Worth 25 HC
Rough Stone - can change the sex of a female snake cat to a male. Worth 25 HC
Diamond - this item does nothing on its own, but is expensive. Worth 50 HC

Whistling Stone - used to attract a snake cat to you, increases your chance of finding a snake cat on an exploration by 1%, stacks up to 5 times. Crafted using a stone and 5 HC.
Custom Ticket - a ticket for one custom snake cat, worth either 5 GB or 100 HC.
Meat Pie - used to attract a snake cat to you, increases your chance of finding a snake cat on an exploration by 15%, does not stack. Crafted using 5 Meats and 10 HC.

BREEDING

Breeding snake cats is relatively simple. You may either choose an available stud, or breed two of your own together to get a litter of anywhere from 1 to 6 hatchling kittens, depending on what breeding items you use. The snake cats you want to breed must have breeding slots available. Breeding slots available are determined by the snake cat’s level.

Levels 1-5 have 3 breeding slots available.
Levels 6-10 have 5 breeding slots available.
Levels 10+ have 7 breeding slots available, with 1 more becoming available every time they level up.
