Casantos thought for a moment before answering "I prefer hunting and exploring in the tropical forest." She blinked at his paws. "There is always a critter around if I want a snack, and there is plentiful water if I get thirsty. The gorillas do scare me though." She admitted sheepishly.

She glanced at the next lion. "What do you look for in a lioness? Stats? Base? Markings? Perhaps even everything?"

Alaine let out a irritated huff, nudging forwards a calm, dove-eyed male adolescent.
“Adeline will answer today. He’s.. interested in seeing how this works.”

The adolescent gave a small, curt nod towards his king and moved his gaze to Castanos.
“Honestly, I’d probably go for markings and base. Something like soul, or ogdoad, or leonid- simply gorgeous. And I’m fond of certain marks as well- scoundrel markings are so.. enchanting, don’t you think?”

Alaine huffed and elbowed Adeline out of the way.
“Anyways. What is your opinion on the coming winter? Lord Asharri always spoke quite fondly of those cold months, and I’m curious as to if others see it the same.”

ɨʄ ɨ ʟօֆɛ ʍʏ ʍɨռɖ seemed surprised by this question. ¨Out in the Black Sand Desert where I and my pride mates reside winter does not affect the terrain around us much, as the sand always keeps us warm, but the cold, the one that... changes lions, becomes far more deadly during the winter. We tend to keep strictly to only certain areas of the Black Sand Desert unlike usual, for fear of losing those close to us or ourselves. It´s complicated, and one like yourself wouldn´t know much about it unless you´ve spent your lives in the Black Sand Desert as we have.¨

Alaine nodded slowly at the king’s answer, tucking his paws beneath his chest and finding a nice, comfy spot to lay down.
“I’m partial to both, though I must say that patches are interesting to me. I’d say either those torn or clouded ones are my favorite.”

“Favorite combo or breed only special?” He asked curiously, head tilting.

Ephemeral puffs up. “Nadir, of course. Although I am fond of stratosphere, asiatic, and soul. As for breed only, I have to say… I can’t decide. I love all special breed-only bases, especially the ones released through raffle lionesses.” Pausing, Ephemeral taps his tail on the ground and grins. “Of course, I have to honor my celestial heritage. Those bases I am also quite enamored with, sidereal, celestial, skyward, prismatic, stratosphere, leonid, sunrise, sunset- they are all gorgeous. Though I might be a bit biased of course, they are apart of my kind after all. I just wish their bases weren’t exclusive to July raffle lionesses…”

“Speaking of raffle lionesses,” he sighs dreamily, “this week’s lady is awfully gorgeous. Lots and lots of breed only traits, as usual… I wish I could charm one in my lifetime.” Ephemeral’s face reddened and he hastily looked away, covering his face with one paw.

“Anyways! What types of markings do you value most in your lionesses? Breed-only, applicator, rare-slotted, valuable, or just purely for aesthetics? Personally, I like to keep my pride a mix of breed-only and aesthetics.”

the stormbringer's pelt of shifting grays rippled as he tilted his head. "my pride is split into factions that work independently, and each value different things. my den of royalty contains my queens, many of whom share markings that are meant to best suit mine and create the best cubs. that being, of course, markings of storms and ice, or the markings of the leopard. the past kings' queens live there too, but many achieved their status purely through aesthetics." the stormbringer flexed his claw in thought. "my other cave has my females whose coats have the chance to create special bases when we have cubs. as i have just been crowned that has not happened yet, though i await that day with apprehension. i keep other females too who have markings i'm rather fond of, or marks of the leopard. so in short, all of my lionesses with the exception of the third cave are valued on how they best match me. the third cave is simply other lionesses i keep around for unique appearances or other traits."

the stormbringer raised his cloudy eyes. "which of your lionesses is your favorite? why?"

Weasel`star shifted, laying upon a grouping of stones, a small weasel sitting upon the skull he wore. ¨I only just recently began my pride, but... I´d have to say either Cream`claw or Grey`pelt. Cream`claw is a spectacular hunter, of course, she is gorgeous as well, and Grey`pelt is stunning, especially with those wings of hers, although she can be lazy I´ve noticed that she´s quite the talented flight artist.¨ Weasel`star´s voice, nor his face, revealed any emotions or thoughts, but his words seemed to show quite a fondness for the two lionesses he had mentioned.

Weasel`star then turned to the next king or queen:

¨How do you feel about the current event going on? And which of the shamans do you prefer?¨

"I don't like it" Casantos huffed. "There are too many odd lions running around, trying to sell me rocks." She rolled her eyes, recalling the merchant she punched earlier that day. "However, I do rather like Sorcerer Sphinx, he usually gives me fairly simple quests."

Casantos glanced to her left
"What are your thoughts on lethal mutations? How about the ethics of freezing them in time?"

The Primal king took a few moments to respond to their question, taking some time to think of an answer. “ I think Lethals are rather fascinating. And freezing them in time is rather well in my mind, personally. To me, they seem rather much as trophies than cubs to actually care for. Sure, it’s terrible to see them stuck in a state of their body like that, but many simply desire them because they are rare and are like toys to collect. Personally, I would much rather keep them as a part of a collection. Not like they’d live long anyways. “ It didn’t seem like he was much of a caring ruler with his answer.

The Primal faced the next ruler, tilting his head. “ What do you value most in your base colors? Do you simply care how nice they look, how rare they are, or how well they pair with markings? “

Cupid's Dream hums softly in thought. "Bases are important to me, since looks are everything in my pride. My favourites are rare or special countershaded bases, colour rarely matters, as long as the base consists of more than just one solid colour. I do prefer that bases blend well with markings as well" they casually shake out their name.

Cupid's Dream turns their shining gaze to the next lion. "Do you believe that you are the best looking lion in your pride?" They raise an eyebrow, tilting their head slightly.

Casantos lowered her eyes "Had you asked me a week earlier, I would have said Posna." She said sadly. "She unfortunately passed away two days ago. She was absolutely gorgeous" She shuffled her paws. "However, now I would have to say Samana, she is also very cute"

Casantos raised her eyes to look at the next ruler, "What was the inspiration for your looks? Did you add any markings to your self? Why did you choose the decor you chose?"

Weasel`star seemed surprised by this question. "Death is all around us, it clings to the mere strands of reality that we too hold on to in an attempt not to be frozen in time or forgotten. Death was never something I feared, not then, not now. As for my markings? I am not the most stunning lion of all, but I wouldn't dare wish to steal all of the attention from my lionesses."

Weasel`star turned his now solemn gaze to the next king or queen:

"What burdens you the most my friend. Death? Currency? Hunger?"

Cupid's Dream's jaw tenses at the command, their seemingly permanent smile dropping and a dark glitter shins in their eyes for a split second before regaining composure. "Currency." The returned small smile crinkles softly around their eyes. "It's difficult to keep up, especially when I keep buying things on impulse." They chuckle softly.

Cupid's Dream furrows their brow for a moment, thinking. "How do you dispose of your unwanted cubs? Murder? Giving them away? releasing them?"

The Primal male furrowed his brows for a moment, thinking back. “ Well, I used to murder them. But now, I feel it’s better suited that I chase them off so that another pride can have the pathetic hell spawn of a cub that I forced out of my pride. Besides, my energy is much more important elsewhere, not on some pathetic little maggot that leeches off of the resources my pride holds. “

The king then looked at the next ruler, flicking an ear. “ What do you seek in a lion? Stats, looks, mutation? It can be anything, my friend. “ He said, sneering as he hissed his last word.

A shudder ran down Erasmus’ spine, the queen letting out the breath she didn’t know she had been holding in. Her eyes narrowed slightly but nonetheless, she spoke out her answer, “Quite frankly, I tend to focus on a lion’s heritage. However, I’m sure many agree that beauty can get a lion much, much farther. As long as a lion’s pretty enough, I wouldn’t mind.”

She turned towards the next ruler, a curious expression on her face. “I’m rather curious about what your least favorite mutation is.. whether it be lethal or not, I would love to know why.” She hummed, sitting patiently as she awaited the answer.
