Why would it make things more fair?

Little add on it is expensive to keep the game going, you don't HAVE to buy the slots there is no real need to do it, for every lion in a pride.

Lioden made the feature to get money. If they were to change it wouldn't be as much of a money maker.they need it to be a money maker to keep the game going.

No support from me, however, I would like the idea of like, being able to unlock only one marking slot with an item, rather than having to unlock them in order.

Honestly as it is I feel like it would be rude of me to add additional marks to my king because the players who use my stud would need to pay up to 10GB every single time they get a cub with those marks from me.
Having the feature be unlockable the way the extra cub stages are would make this much more reasonable because then obviously it's a bonus/vanity feature and so there would be people who want to use it and people who don't and I could feel ok with that.
I feel like 50GB or even more would be perfectly fair to unlock this feature, but the way it is now, having to pay for every single cub is just wasteful and feels rude.
I would use this feature if it was a one-time unlock but the way it is I plan to just ignore and avoid because I don't want people avoiding my stud because they would have to shell out tons on GB just to properly see his cubs and every other descendant that comes from them.
I mean really when you look at literally every other vanity feature in this game they are 1-20GB to unlock/have a vanity feature but this one ultimately locks you in to shelling out hundreds of GB to keep up a single mark through generations. That is frankly outrageous.
I totally support paying GB for things and contributing to the site financially and absolutely want to pay the admin team and honor the amazing work they do. But this particular feature is very disproportionate and overpriced, not to mention awkward in it's execution.

I support this as well - like Toradaeus said, not a lot of people want to add extra marks to their king and no one wants to buy the extra slots on a lioness; but if this were a one-time unlock people would probably be falling over themselves to get it. I know I would, though as it stands I have no intention of unlocking even a single slot on any of my pride. I know that websites need money to run, but at the same time, you have to consider how many people are willing to pay to use a feature at certain prices. If changing how it works or making it less expensive causes more people to use the feature, you're making more money from it.

No support. An account wide unlock would feel like a "mandatory" purchase, especially once more players unlocked this feature and other accounts would be "missing" out on the extra markings, also causing the price of cubs with 10 or less or locked markings to plummet.

Not only that, players who do have the unlock would have a huge advantage in breeding/traditional breeding as the markings are unlocked per lion, so they would be able to charge to breed lions on their account to unlock those markings for those who don't.

Right now, the feature is a nice bonus that yes, is going to cost a lot of GB if you want to maximize it on all of your lions - which wasn't its intention. Make it an account unlock, and it will significantly impact the game's economy and balance.

That's not how an account unlock would work though.
You couldn't gain an advantage selling unlocked lions because the lions wouldn't be unlocked for the buyer
Like cub stages, the slots would only show up as unlocked on accounts that purchased the feature.
Like how a newborn cub has the tiny stage on your account if you've purchased the cub stages but if you transfer that cub to an account that hasn't then it appears as the regular cub stage.

It could be just that the item will unlock all of the markings for cubs born in your den, but you would still have to pay extra for ones that you buy or NCLs that you catch. Then, it helps when breeding but we still have that decision to make when we acquire new females.

I think this would be more incentive to really show off the new 20 marking slot feature and have a real spicy den!

A 20GB - 50GB Oasis item I feel would hurt sufficiently, and would be something that we would all covet.

No support from me either. I do not find the prices for unlocking slots to be that expensive at all, and there is no reason I can see for needing to unlock every lion in your pride. I’ve got maybe two lions with hidden marks actually worth revealing between both my accounts. That’s it. Between those two lions I might spend around 10 GB and that’s perfectly okay with me. I’d spend the same price to make a custom lion.

Like others have already said, such a feature would ruin the market for normally marked cubs and people who don’t like or want to breed for lions with all those marks wouldn’t be able to make anything off their cubs.

Eh, I have no lionesses who have slots who are worth much. And no urge to buy slots to add to them knowing that they could pass and the cubs wont be as sellable to less rich players. I do plan on extending the slots in my next king for two mane marks that aren't really useful for most cubs anyways, but that's all I've ever seen need for. This just doesn't feel necessary to me and I feel it would cheapen the extra slots. It's a frivolous addition in the first place in my eyes, the frivolous price suits it for something so unneeded.

At first I was in a huff about the extra 10 slots. like ... (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻ But now, I've only added a few marks to my king, just to spice him. And I feel the new additions really makes a difference and I'm happy we have them!

I just think for a personal den, it would be nice to see the slots you purchased appear on your cubs. And just like the cub system if this unlock all markings option was enabled, people who haven't enabled this won't be too bothered by this.
