Extra markings aren’t something we should want to make more common or easier to have. Talk about screwing the economy, it would devalue the price of lesser marked lions even more. There would also be problems for normal lion breeders who don’t want a lot of extra markings in their lines, but cannot find a normally marked stud to breed with since those wouldn’t be as desired anymore.

But what would happen with buying / selling? Say I have this feature unlocked, and I get a lion with 15 marks, all automatically unlocked. Say I give or sell the lion to someone else. Does it keep all of those marks, or do the markings over slot 10 hide? Which is the more fair option, to both the buyer, the seller, and the sale itself?

Additionally, say I have this feature on my account. Any lion's hidden marks are automatically revealed once I bring them into my pride, right? So what's to stop me from allowing other people to send their lions to my pride? I could charge anywhere from 200SB to 1GB to automatically unlock everything. It would be cheaper for them, and it would be a massive business opportunity for me... And it would also unfairly take advantage of the system.

I do like @Kiyo's comment about this feature only working on cubs born into your pride. That makes more sense to me. But as the suggestion stands now? It's a fun idea, but no support from me! :(

I feel like making comparisons between account-wide extra slots and extra cub stages is inaccurate; the latter is purely cosmetic, the former can affect breeding (as hidden markings cannot be passed on). If the unlocking were purely cosmetic as well - as in, the extra slot makings are visible, but cannot be passed on - such option would be comparable and fair, and could then cost around 10-15 GB.

I think a fairer solution would be to introduce a single-use breeding item that would unlock the filled slots on the cub(s), fed to either parent during a breeding. It would likely be about as valuable as, idk, crunchy worm, ochre gnawrock, or lion scrotum (unless available in Oasis - then it could cost around 5-8 GB, seeing as it would not unlock every slot and only offer the unlock in the event that the cub inherits something in the extra slots).

I haven't thought too deeply about this, but I think such option would be more balanced for the game.

@Tirrathee I actually like your idea about the breeding item. It would be more fair and not give people chances to take advantage of the system to make a ton of money. Although I’d say it should be more on the 8 GB end because that’s still cheaper than unlocking all slots manually, but also wouldn’t make it super common.

You're probably right about the price, Heylel. While using it would often mean paying 8 GB for Classic Cream Front in slot 11 on a potato cub, it also has the potential of saving the breeder the expense of 10 GB per cub in a large and colorful batch... so a lot like the chances when using CRB or similar items, I suppose. :)
