Thank goodness for this thread. I didn't even know they raised the price. And here was I thinking that I have enough to buy one on both accounts... but nah. -_- The thing that pissed me off is that the staff said nothing about and if you don't check the wiki (like me) you will be in for a surprise. We need more than "Peddler shop prices might change."

I just hate the lack of communication from the moderators as of late. There's also been a bug/change with marking opacities, and the moderators have basically been ignoring any complaints about it. It's basically been along the lines of "Is this a bug or an intended mechanic change?" "No."
Just tell us what's going on, it's not that hard!

I would personally just like to question the perceived entitlement to a certain number of buffalo scrotes every year. I understand that until this point some of you will have gotten between 5-30 scrotes every year and have come to expect that as the norm. However, if the decision to increase their rarity has been made, it has likely been made because the effect that scrotes have on a wide portion of the game is now too great.

Buffalo scrotums are not a necessity. They are a luxury item that increases your chances of achieving whatever goal you're after in less breedings, with less effort. Yes, they are now going to be harder to get, but that is how the item is supposed to be in this game.

Additionally, you have to recognise that buffalo scrotes are most often used to make breeding difficult things easier - such as leopons, dwarves, lethals, and certain hard-to-pass markings or bases. When you DO finally achieve that goal with or without your buffies, your prize will be worth more, because buffalo scrotes are now less likely to decrease the price of those prized rarities by making them easier to get. It keeps rare things rare and challenging. If you left buffies as they are - EVERYTHING that they're used to get (not just the item themselves or GB) will be easier to get and the value of all those things will decrease over time, and the game would be less fun.

Having said ALL of that, I DO agree that better communication could've been employed. I think we as users have a right to be able to question a decision as we are doing here, and ask for pre-planning and warning of that decision.

Inflation of price as more users gain more assets and generate more currency (event and otherwise) is inevitable. Sometimes it's better to think of the bigger picture, as some decisions are made that do not directly and immediately benefit your personal circumstances, but help the site as a whole continue. <3 c:

When you implement something into a game and it's been the norm for years, people expect it to be there like always. When it's not, people get angry. No, they aren't entitled to it, but you really shouldn't be shocked.

Also, there's a difference between "challenging" and "downright fucking infuriating", which is where a lot of breeding projects stand. See: Any Medium base, even after the change. They are not worth breeding. They would especially not be worth breeding without items to help, because they're so few and far between and expensive to breed that you will never profit off of them. Many people have given up on bases like Sepia, Lilac, etc. because they are just not worth it.

I'll just say this guys, I am not to mad at the idea. Think of it this way, the buffalo balls are gonna be worth more after this is done. Like way way way more. It's not a bad idea.
