Esmeray - Lightning - Grasslands

Esmeray yawned widely, lifting her head from where it had lain between her front claws. She was resting on the edge of a tall, jutting rock that gave her a nice view in every direction. She let her tail dangle, the sparking barb twitching lazily. She usually wasn't up this early, but she felt rested enough. Rising gracefully to her feet, she let her tattered wings stretch out as she arched down and up like a cat. After Esmeray felt properly awake and alert, she glided down onto the dry grass, landing as soundlessly as she could manage. She chose a direction at random, feeling the absence of food in her stomach like it was a physical pain. Hunger, she thought, was a scourge.

PIPER-OUTLANDS
Piper woke to the sound of birdsong. A rarity in the Outlands. She would have gotten up but didn't want to scare them away. She had to savour her precious time with her memories of her time as a baby dragon, they were good times.

Onyx • Outlands

Onyx was still sleeping, for he had gone flying (again), at night. He usually slept during the day.

(I hate schooooool. It's starting tomorrow and I won't be on as much D:)

Parsley - Leaf - Forests

Parsley was fast asleep, twitching her legs and mumbling things that made no sense every now and then. She waved her little wings, still asleep.

Plazma - Grasslands - Lightning

The fan along her head flexed upright as she woke, chattering long fangs and rising from her mossy nest to shakes herself free of last vestiges of sleep. Light rippled down her scales, playing in obsidian pools and dancing into the crystals growing from her body. She stretched her lithe and muscular form, arching her back up high and unfurling her massive wings to let the rubbery membranes in between warm up and spread the heat of morning throughout her blood.

Plazma yawned and curled her neck around to satisfy an itch on the side of her jaw, scratching at it with a few flicks of her hind claws, then righted herself and took stock.
The grasslands were quiet today, the ever present wind whispering across the huge field and sending it rippling in living waves throughout the territory. She could smell petrichor on the air, a tempting and sweet tickle of rain threatening the horizon, and she was more than a little thankful for that- provided it didn't rain TOO much.

Another scent came to her as well, one just as familiar and welcome- Esmeray, having apparently woken a short time earlier and begun the day. Waving her strong tail out behind her, Plazma began to pad away, following her leader's trail at a healthy but casually clipped pace.. maybe she'd meet up with her and help with scaring up a morning meal... who knows where the gatherers were or when they'd get themselves organized.

Esmeray - Lightning - Grasslands

Esmeray was systematically slicing up her chosen meal- a rather slow bison- when the wind changed direction and another scent overpowered the blood of her prey. Dragon. Familiar dragon, too. She lifted her head from her meal and squinted at the horizon, where she could just make out the shape of Plazma plodding her direction. She climbed to her feet, flaring her wings in both a greeting and an attempt to draw the dragon's attention. She wondered if the dragon had eaten yet, and looked at the neatly sliced bison appraisingly.

Plazma - Grasslands - Lightning

A flair of movement drew her gaze, and the lady dragon adjusted her direction just slightly to meet up with her leader, and dipped her long snout in an acknowledgement of respect. She chirped, a vocalization of friendly intent, and glanced at the bison with impressed curiosity. Such large prey wandering this close to dragon territory was a little unusual, but sometimes animals were driven by a need of larger foraging ground, or grew bold when no dragons were immediately spotted. Either way, they made great meals.

"A fine catch." She mused approvingly, "And a finer morning. Well met, Esmeray."

Esmeray - Lightning - Grasslands

Esmeray watched Plazma saunter up, nodding her greeting. She rumbled kindly at the compliment, taking a moment to assess her kill again before her electric eyes returned to Plazma.

"A fine morning indeed." She tilted her head invitingly. "Have you eaten yet?" Company was always welcomed during her meals, no matter the somewhat nomadic nature of her tribe. With no set camp and much looser rules than some other groups, there were times when it was days between seeing members of her small family.

Merlin Myrson - The Outlands
Ah, the warm sunbeams were sweet this morning! Merlin closed his glinstering blue eyes for a moment, just to feel the breeze cool the fresh burn on his belly. It was only a few hours ago since he chased away that pesky rogue, but the rogue's fire still let his wound burn. Merlin often wondered why some Dragons preferred using their element over using their primal teeth and claws. Where they really that scared for a up close and personal battle? Fighting the old way was tradition from Merlin's point of view. Using your so-called sacred element as a weapon was a disgrace to your ancestors, since they only fought like real warriors. Well, no matter what kind of weapons his enemies used, the rusty Dragon mostly won the battle anyway. With a contented sigh, he leaned back on his muscled legs, curling his stocky tail under his butt like a chair. His fellow soldiers called this whole activity 'guarding', though Merlin preferred the term 'chasing 'nd chill'. Nothing like a sweet morning in the Outlands!

Plazma - Grasslands - Lightning

"Not yet, only just woke. No sign of the hunters being mobile yet, but that's of no surprise." Plazma snorted back in ill-humor. She did not hold a terribly high opinion of the gatherers overall, but then, she was a creature who prized strength and tenacity in battle. The role of merely providing for the clan rather than fighting for it seemed strange and lazy to her...why not make the dragons hunt for themselves? It would build character, and enable them to have even more warriors!

On a logical level, she knew they were somewhat necessary in times of low-prey though....so she'd kept such thoughts to herself.

"What does the day hold for us?" She asked, curious as to where their venerable leader would decide to take them, and perhaps even more curious as to whether or not that might lead to a battle.

Esmeray - Lightning - Grasslands

Esmeray tilted her head in acknowledgement. Even she was up early for the time, so it was no surprise that her fellow lightning dragons would still be resting. She moved to her bison, gesturing with her wing for Plazma to join her. She might have to hunt again later today, but it was worth it for the company. She tore into one of the sections eagerly, determined to get rid of the ache in her stomach before her temper flared. She flicked her tail in a tacit demand for patience as she swallowed down the meat.

"I was thinking about a journey to the Outsider lands." She mused. They were gaining influence quickly, and she wanted to forge a positive relationship while lightning just barely maintained the upper hand. "A guard might prove useful." She added, blinking up at Plazma slyly.

Piper was sitting in her cave, surrounded by the other Outsiders. She missed the days she had spent in the valley. The warm breeze and the cool lakes. She sighed sadly. She would have to try and make alliances soon. It could be very dangerous for the Outsiders if she didn't.
