A year or so ago, the region changed.
Never did they see glimpses of Ho-Oh's dazzling rainbow feathers in the sky, soaring proudly through its region's pure blue skies above the Burned Tower, nor the gleaming shimmer of Lugia's steely silver feathers through the ocean waves near the Whirl Islands. The Ruins of Alph, which used to hold copious amounts of the psychic-type Unown, were now deserted, only dust and carvings left by the Pokemon's once powerful presence. Celebi, Protector of Time, Guardian of the Ilex Shrine, Ruler of Arborville, was no longer seen through the thick foliage by the residents before disappearing with a chime. The Legendary Birds, their calls often heard far and wide by Johto's people, were no longer heard nor seen; feathers of the Pokemon that were once sold for large amounts of money now absent. Even the Beasts of Old, Suicune, Entei, and Raikou, had gone missing, lost to the tide with their creator, leaving no traces of their great pawprints or protection. Truly, none were left.
Those of Arborville were the first to notice, their dear protector never again seen as it had been in their day-to-day activities. At first, not many believed Arborville's citizens and their old-fashioned ways; they'd always been seen as somewhat doltish-- but as weeks without the sightings of the Legends passed they began to believe. Tensions rose between those who followed the paths of different Legends, all sides throwing accusation upon accusation to another. And, now, the conflict is worse than ever. Riots swarm the streets of Goldenrod, and though they are quite quickly broken apart, it seems the region won't be able to hold itself together for much longer...
Where could they have gone?
Welcome, friends, to a roleplay like no other. Here we have a roleplay taking place 27 years in the past in the Johto region of Pokemon, focusing heavily on the legends and the tensions between those who follow different ones. You can be whatever you'd like: league trainer, professor, criminal, breeder, coordinator, and more! There's so much diversity-- you're bound to find something you like!
Here, we use Pokemon Showdown for our important battles, and rolling for levels, giving a much more rpg-esque feel to the roleplay. There will be many events that take place during it, including gym battles, competitions, contests, and perhaps even a few more... perilous ones, too!
A story, one of religious tensions, cults, and the absence of the legendaries because of a region just beyond the corner, and an oncoming war...

If you think so, then you're in luck! That's exactly what this roleplay is all about!
Many servers are tied with Beasts of the Old, which you can find in the "affiliates" tab on the server. But, once you arrive, please read "rules-and-information" so you can know what to do! Then, once you've read that, you may proceed to "bios", where you can create your character! In the pinned messages are two forms, you can use either one you like.
