I'm not sure if anyone has put this up yet but here goes:
This is when the thyroid gland under-produces certain hormones.
This under-production can result in the slowing down of metabolism.

Basically, you can be affected in various ways such as weight gain, fatigue, appitite loss etc.

Just imagine a chubby little lion or a sleepy looking one!
(To get a slight idea of what i'm talking about google "chubby, sleepy tiger"/"chubby,sleepy lion")

Anyway this would more likely be a letal since they wouldn't be able to hunt but I thought it would be nice if they could live with it.

What do you think? If you vote no please explain why.(don't overdo it please)
You don't have to say why on this thread you can send me a message!
Fortunately i don't bite. :3 (i will FAIRLY defend myself though)

P.S. People/Animals with the disease aren't guaranteed to gain weight and I don't mean to offend anyone that has this Illness

I feel like this should be lethal but at a later stage in life. Lethal mutations don't always have to strike in cubhood, they can just shorten the lifespan in general according to the devs so I can not see an animal in the wild living a full lifespan with this condition.

Cats and big cats in captivity have humans to help them survive but LD is still meant to be in the wild so it would make sense they don't survive as long on their own.

Support, though I personally don't feel they should be lethal? Maybe just make it so they can't hunt or patrol (and maybe not be kinged?). As they don't need to do those things on their own when there are other lions in the pride. If anything just have them die at a slightly earlier age, like 13-14?

Don't support. My boyfriend has hypothyroidism in real life and he's not fat.. weight gain is a possible symptom sure, but not everything with hypothyroidism is fat.

I have this and I am not currently experiencing weight gain, never have. The biggest side effect for me personally is chronic fatigue. Maybe a cub laying down, looking weak and lethargic? Not everyone experiences weight gain from this but fatigue is a very common occurrence

No offence taken, no worries. Just thought I'd give my input, as I do know other people with the same problem and weight gain isn't as common as you may think! I think the 'mutation' idea of it is good, just maybe a different visual.

Maybe there could be variants?
