In the land of Dririam, a special school is available for the young: a school for Dragon riding. Where everyone 16-23 can come to learn the necessities of being a dragon rider at the School of Dririam, where the Dragon Rider will train to become part of the army. Dririam is a large island with a healthy mix of plains, forests, and sandy beaches; off the shore from a few spots on the beaches there are small islands made of mostly rock-except for a few larger islands that have just grass-that water dragons can be spotted basking in the sun on, and many cliffs for dragons to hang off of, or perch on top of if their rider chooses to take a dip.

What you'l learn at the school of Dririam: How to fly, obviously, how to care for your dragon, hand to hand combat, dragon combat, and the history of dragons, and dragon riders.

Dragons

There are many shapes and sizes of dragons, but every dragon has a special ability. This ability can be from cloning, to turning into fire itself, or even electricity. Now there are land dragons, and water dragons. Land dragons still have the ability to produce fire and smoke, even if that isn't their ability. Water dragons will still be able to produce water, and steam even if it isn't part of their ability.

Riders

There are no requirements to become a rider, but you have no choice over your dragon. But the bond the rider and the dragon form are for life, and uniquely enough, the rider will have the ability to with stand fire/hot steam more than a human, but still will burn eventually. The rider will also have a better tolerance for different water temps, or will be better at breathing in smoke. This bond also gives the rider their own special 'mark', kinda tattoo like, will appear on the rider. Along with this bond, the rider will be able to see through the dragons eyes, and they can hear each other's thoughts. Now, with this bond if the rider dies, the dragon dies, but if the dragon dies the rider won't.

The School

The Hadmaster of the school, is Mara Whitaker, is also the daughter of one of the fiercest generals in the army, and thus was suitingly appointed to teach the next soldiers.

Dragon Ages & Differences

Water dragons don't really have wings, if a water dragon has wings they're small and used more like flippers and not actual wings.

Newborn-3 months: Dragons are noted to being as small enough to fit in the palm of your hand up to the size of a horse.
3 months-6 months: Can grow to be the size of a bus.
6 months- 1 Year: Can grow to be just longer than an 18-wheeler and as tall as a three story building.
1 year-10 years: Can grow to 18 ft high at the shoulder, and about 60-70 ft long.
10 years-20 years: As tall as 25-30 ft high and about 150 ft long.
20 years-30 years: 35-40 ft tall and about 230 ft long.
(Dragons can live to be 200+ years old, but I think you get the idea. But 45ft is max height, and 330 ft long is max length.) Now, that does not mean that all dragons will get this big. Your dragon could be 30 years old and only be 20 ft tall and 100 ft long, the data above are just the biggest recorded for that age group. Wings can be as long as the dragon or short as well.

Valentino "Tony" Laguardia, 19. 6'2, olive skin, toned body, dark brown hair, golden-hazel eyes. His mark being three half circles starting below his thumb and evenly spacing out to above his wrists. A sandy-gold dragon, with a white underbelly and front of his neck, with green eyes. 25ft at the shoulder with a long soft s shape of a neck that of a serpent, 250ft long. 13 years old. Reed, 16, tall, muscular, freckled cheeks, light ginger hair, blue eyes. A red swirl with two lines lines through the middle on the right side of his chest. Rider of Molten. A fiery gold dragon, looking like melted metals. 37ft high (at the shoulder) and 230ft longs, 22 years old. (Played by: Tiger (WCU) 137561)

Rosalind "Rose" Allerton, 20, 6', long dark brown hair, brown eyes with flecks of green, blue crescent behind her left ear is her mark, lithe build. Rider of Larkspur. Produces electiricty in claws and horns on tail, shocking opponents. A powerful screach instead of a roar, and able to produce a ball of light making her able to stun someone. 20' long and 8' tall with a 40' wingspan. Covered in electric blue feathers, and piercing yellow eyes. (Played by: BlazeRed (27478))

Riza Nowell, 18, 5'5, toned, olive colored skin, light brown eyes, black bobed hair, small soft face. Two, faded black, small, nickle size circles on the palm and back of her left hand. Rider of Mavros. Able to produce a barrier, or numbing breath for a short time, or heal minor wounds on himself. A matte black dragon with deep purple eyes. Standing 16' tall and 60' long. A more lean dragon built for speed and evasion. (Played by: Mayonayys (68948))

Summer Lila Evans, 16, Tall, skinny, pale, with black hair, and blue eyes.Birthmark on her left shoulder, and a gold wolf paw mark on her right forearm. Rider of Zylo. A white dragon with gold eyes, and two black spots on her face and back. Able to summon fire, and teleport. (Played by: Echostar (152250))

Henry Lee Wilcox, 16, 5'10, some muscle, pale freckles skin, messy blonde hair, blue eyes. His,small, mark residing on his shoulder, resembling a bloodshot eye with no pupil or iris. Able to cover with a regular sleeve. Rider of Bill. Able to produce short-lasting portals close to him. A honeybee yellow, standing 10' 5 tall, and 30.5' long to the end of his tail. Has only one eye, with no iris or pupil, but still able to see. An extra toe on his front paws, making him able to grasp more than a normal dragon. (Played by: Axolotl (141369))

Caspian Dechart, 26, 6'4, slightly lean, fair skinned, attractive, small scar under his left eye, chestnut brown, slightly curled hair, on the right of his neck, just above his collar bone is a brown mark resembling a flower. Teaches History of Dragons & Dragon Riders. Rider of Sorcha. Two large fangs, able to inject venom. Though not deadly, acts more like a sedative and hallucinogen. Her scales as hard as stone. 15' tall and 100' long, more lean of a dragon, and low to the ground. 13 years old. A water dragon, resembling a skink, with no horns, or wings. A light brown, with a dark brown almost black underbelly, making her able to camouflage. (Played by:BlazeRed (27478))

Kaska Moorhen, 36, 5' 11, thin but muscular, flame shaped gash on her forehead, olive-green eyes, blue-black hair, pale khaki skin. A fang shape on the back of her right shoulder. Teacher of Dragon Combat. Rider of Thorskera. A massive brunette-brown dragon, standing 43' tall, and a 174' long with peanut brown swirls, green twisted horns, and leaf shaped, lime green spines along her back, venomous spurs surrounding the spins. A beak like snout. A thin tail, with a disk bared with spines, able to cut other dragons. Immune to poison. (Played by: Mirror rorriM (158937))

Katherine "Katie" McDermott, 18, 5'2, white, mid back length curly brown hair with streaks of gold, blue eyes with a tint of green, her mark being three spheres on the back of her neck. Rider of Tidal. A water dragon able to control lightning. A dark blue dragon, with varying shades of blue scattered through out, bright aqua eyes, and deep blue almost black wings with star like speckles on them. (Played by: Snini9us(154479))

Rowanna "R" Fann, 17, 5'3, Playful, messy short, cropped dark brown hair with natural red streaks, bright green eyes, pale skin, overall small, and flexible. Three curved lines representing a river is her mark. Rider of Styx. Able to influence emotions, and control the weak minded. A feathered dragon with vibrant purple/violet feathers, with a pastel purple belly. A small black horn, with a green swirl, just above her nose. Small and nimble like her rider. One white claw on each paw. (Played by: Rowana-banana(90881))

Theo Alder, 27, 6'4-6'5, broad and brawny, wavy dirty blonde hair usually in a bun, plae forest green eyes, and tan. Teacher of Flying. His mark resembling a druid tri-swirl, starting at the right of his neck, the swirls behind his neck, and continues down his back to his lower back. Rider of Vysenia. Able to control the shadows and mist around her to create shadow and mist creatures.20 years old. 41' tall, and 290' long. A muted forest green, two brilliant gold twisten horns on the top of her head, matching colored, large, spines running along her back and tail. Amelia "Emi" Hallow, 16, round face with freckles, vibrant green eyes, long brown hair reaching her knees, olive skin, short. Her mark being a crying face, without eyes, crying tears down to her finger tips. Rider of Razor. Able to grow razor sharp spikes from under his skin, varying in sizes, though the bigger the spike, the less produced. About the size of a horse, with shiny black scales, and aqua blue eyes. Nikita Dane, 16, 5'1, short and slim, lightly tanned skin, platinum blonde hair, icy blue eyes with dark blue around the pupil. Her mark being a spiral between her shoulder blades on her back, the smooth lines being jagged, as if being torn. Rider of Amethyst. able to produce a deep purple haze from her chest that is a temporary hypnotic and makes those exposed susceptible to Nikita's commands. A deep purple dragon, with speckled silver scales on her face, a lighter purple underbelly, with silver eyes. Standing 20' tall, and 92' in length. Silver twisted horns on top of her head. Darker purple around the edges of her eyes, making her eyes stand out more. (Played by: Bloodblossom (131214))

Dyami Grey, 17, 7'2, broad shoulders and well defined body, pale skin, pure black long hair to his mid back, usually in a braid, sea-green eyes, covered in scars, especially on his back. His mark is a black circle interlaced with web-like appearance and a dragon claw cutting through the fabric. Rider of Foxglove. able to control pressure and sound or twist dreams into nightmares. Upon Arrival

Upon arrival, students will be introduced to their teachers, and will be fitted for armor, given a sword or crossbow--which ever they prefer--and a shield, and their dragon will get measured for a temporary saddle, as most of the dragons and students are still growing. Permanent ones will be offered at the end of the year, but are not mandatory for you to take.
