What is it, exactly?
I'm glad you asked!
The cattery is self contained growing adoptables thread, where you can adopt itty bitty kitties, watch them grow, breed them, buy accessories for them, and more! Not nearly as high tech as lioden, but still fun. And tiny.

How do I get started?
Every week or so, a new couple will be posted, with a limited number of kittens available for purchase. You won't know what your kitten looks like until after the entire litter is purchased and therefore 'born' - they will always inherit traits from their parents, but may also have a few surprises in store that may be passed on genetically later on. Litter sizes are rolled anywhere from 2-6 kittens.

If you are interested in a parent, those will also generally be available for purchase separately.

How much do they cost?
To start out, parents and kittens will be able to be purchased for prices.
Once you have two kittens owned, however, the price changes over to USD. Why? Because I'm a poor starving artist, and GB is not a valid IRL currency. Sorry.

How do they grow? How can I breed?
MAGICALLY. Kittens grow up from baby to adult every five days, however, you can speed this up for a price. Breeding can either be done with NPC stock, or between your kitties and another member's. Both must be consenting to this, however. Litters are rolled anywhere from 2-6 kittens.
If bred with NPC stock, the parent pays the breeding fee, and receives two kittens from their litter - the rest will be available for purchase as per usual.
If bred with another players', the fee can either be paid by one parent or split between. If paid by a single parent, the paying parent gets two kittens for free - the rest will be available for purchase as usual.
With each litter bred and split between players, each parent gets one kitten for free - the rest can either be purchased by the owners, or left open for other members to buy! Breeding costs a flat 5 USD fee.

Can I use my kitties as OCs?
You can indeed! However, these are non transferable, ie, please don't sell or give your kitties' designs to others, and please credit rainwolfeh at deviantart as the designer and artist.
