- Name
Palestar, formally Palefang.
- Age
24 moons (2 years) old.
- Gender
Male.
- Orientation
Bisexual.
- Clan & Rank
ValleyClan | Leader.
- Allegiance Description
Palestar - A lean white tom with reddish-cream points, a freckled nose and deep blue eyes.
- Full Appearance
The son of a modern Siamese mother and a mixed tom, his features are not quite as extreme as a purebred, but his looks still prove rather unusual compared to the rest of his fellow warriors. He has a short, sleek white pelt just like his mother, his physical characteristics naturally graceful and regal. Light reddish-cream points with faint mackerel tabby striping can be found on his muzzle, the backs of his ears, his paws and tail.
Reddish fur also ticks his legs and flank, darkening with age. With a long, lean body, Palestar's slender form may cross some as delicate, but one shouldn't be fooled. He is extremely flexible and athletic, a decent amount of wiry muscle covering his narrow frame and his bones quite dense, making him much heavier than one would expect.
When rushing into battle against Palestar, you may think they are dealing with a ballerina only to be tackled by a football player. His almond-shaped eyes are a deep blue, like staring into a dark pool with unending depths. His nose is a soft pastel pink, freckled by dark spots. Palestar's left ear is split down the middle and ragged scarring mars his cheek on the same side. His tail is kinked.
- Personality
Strict and dour, Palestar is not an especially well-liked tom among his Clanmates, but he is a highly esteemed cat all the same. From practically the moment he earned his apprentice name Palestar has been all about upholding the warrior code and living the life of a model warrior; forever loyal, devoted, hardworking and rule-abiding. Born from presumably kittypet parents, the young tom had much to prove and it took many moons of tireless training and dedication to earn the respect of his peers. Any cat who has doubt Palestar would lay down his very life for any one of his Clanmates hasn't been paying attention.
Intelligent and highly observant, not much goes overlooked by the meticulous leader. He remembers every name and face he encounters, his memory just as sharp as his claws, and tends to notice immediately if someone is slacking off or not performing a task to the best of their ability. While not eternally grumpy despite popular belief, Palestar has a tendency for sarcasm and appears to lack a sense of humor almost entirely save for a rarely spoken joke every now and then, always delivered with a dry tone and deadpan expression.
Despite his rather severe personality, any hostility Palestar directs at another is expressed with solely words, never claws or teeth, unless he is defending the Clan or given no other option. Violence against a Clanmate is unacceptable and won't be tolerated. Overall, Palestar is a tom with good intentions and genuine care for ValleyClan, but has repressed most of his emotions and interests for the sake of ensuring he became the perfect warrior and can now serve as an exemplary leader.
- Backstory
Warning | Mentions of abuse from a parental figure.
Palestar has no memory of his birth mother or life outside of ValleyClan. From the moment he opened his eyes it was Cloverheart's mottled face that greeted him and for the first few moons of his life, the young tom lived in blissful ignorance, believing he was a fully Clanborn cat like the other kits in the nursery. Cloverheart would have liked to keep it that way, but some of the other warriors were quite displeased with little Palekit's very existence let alone his place in the Clan.
Once he was old enough to understand they made certain he overheard them discussing his origins. Palekit and his sister were found abandoned at ValleyClan's borders, no trace of the cat who left them there to be found. Upon confronting Cloverheart she admitted the truth. She had lost her own kits during a rough leaf-bare and when a patrol returned to camp one day with two bedraggled kittens she took them in without needing to be asked, her heart still full of love to give.
While Cloverheart may have adored her new brood, her mate Frostclaw was of a different opinion. Frostclaw and Cloverheart had a falling out once she discovered the white tom had a cruel side. He often took his frustrations out on Palekit and Shadekit in the form of harshly whispered words or a swipe from the paw hard enough to leave bruises beneath the fur, but never hard enough to cut or create a visible wound. Once caught in the act Cloverheart was furious and swore she would never raise a family beside him again, her sister Blossombreeze chasing him away from the kits with a warning there would be physical retributions if he ever harmed them again.
Desperate to prove his worth to his father and gain his love, Palepaw worked harder, earned his warrior name and continued to show he was nothing like a kittypet despite his heritage. Though Frostclaw continues to treat him as if he is little more than a flea in his pelt, Palestar still hopes to someday make the cold-hearted warrior proud of him, though the relationship they share is fairly antagonistic. It’s no secret Frostclaw is bitter he was chosen as deputy over himself, even more so now that Palestar is his leader.
Though young, Palestar is still old enough to remember the war. He experienced only one battle at nine moons old in which his ear was torn and the left side of his face permanently scarred. The leader before him, Falconstar, grew erratic and unpredictable as time went on after the peace treaty. The old tom knew nothing more than war and the absence of it left him feeling empty despite his initial agreement that the fighting must end. He lost his last life without choosing a replacement, the last deputy Pinefrost having passed from an illness only the day before, and Palefang was chosen by StarClan through a vision sent to the medicine cat. Some cats are still suspicious of the outcome. After all, why would StarClan choose a cat not born among them to lead their Clan?

• As with most Siamese-type cats, he's cross-eyed. It's subtle, but you can definitely tell if you stare at him for a while. Other than looking a bit peculiar it doesn't affect his vision or quilty of life.
• His Siamese heritage leaves him more susceptible to cancer, heart disease, and respiratory infections.
• His kinked tail is a result of, you guessed it, his Siamese heritage. He's had it since birth and it's a typical deformity found in the breed.

Blossombreeze.
- Age
69 moons (5 years, 9 months) old.
- Gender
Female.
- Orientation
Asexual | Panromantic.
- Clan & Rank
ValleyClan | Medicine Cat.
- Allegiance Description
Blossombreeze - Black and ginger tortoiseshell with dark golden eyes.
- Full Appearance
- Personality
Blossombreeze is a kindly she-cat with a rather laid-back disposition. She's a motherly figure to everyone she comes to know regardless of age but isn't prone to fussing or worrying without reason, trusting her Clanmates can handle themselves. Even Palestar and the deputy can expect a gentle lecture about neglecting their needs or requiring a good grooming from time to time though.
Despite what the above might imply, Blossombreeze is no pushover either. While she is a generally helpful cat who strives to do right by others, she will not allow herself to be manipulated or used. If a cat aims to do these things they are not deserving of attention from anyone in her eyes and she can prove shockingly unforgiving if she comes to find she has been purposefully deceived by someone she trusted or they have maliciously harmed others.
With that said, Blossombreeze is full of compassion for most cats, radiating warmth, and naturally protective of her Clanmates, especially the young. She's surprisingly spry for her age and never forgot her warrior training, keeping up with the tactics she was taught as an apprentice.
- Backstory
Blossombreeze was born during a particularly harsh leafbare, the only kit out of four to survive. She proved perceptive and thoughtful from a young age, but like most kits was keen on becoming a warrior as soon as possible. She took her training seriously, determined to make her parents proud, eager to impress her reclusive father especially, to the point of taking unnecessary risks. It's any wonder this dauntless she-cat made it to adulthood.
The war started when she was barely four moons old and it has consumed most of her life. While she had initially felt her destiny was to live the life of a warrior defending her Clan, she lost her taste for battle by the time she was twelve moons old, so many cats already left scarred or worse by her claws. When the medicine cat was on his last legs and still hadn't trained an apprentice Blossombreeze saw an opportunity and took it. Cranewing died before her training was completed, but it seemed Blossombreeze knew enough to keep ValleyClan going and has had plenty of moons to perfect her practice since.

- Allegiance Description
Shadowfoot - Tall black she-cat with pale green eyes.
- Full Appearance
- Personality
Well-spoken and regal, it's clear from the moment you set eyes upon her this she-cat thinks highly of herself. Filled with quiet determination and a stubborn nature, Shadowfoot's mind is hard to change once she is focused on a goal, though this doesn't mean she's never open to suggestion. To those, she trusts Shadowfoot will reveal a more vulnerable side of herself, as she still often needs guidance regardless of her steadfast demeanor and intelligence.
Strangers will find themselves faced with a distant, yet not unkind warrior who's mere presence seems to demand respect even if she does not voice it so. As others come to know her they will find her gentle and kind, but also fierce and vengeful. She will not hesitate to dispose of a threat with her own claws and teeth if need be. She keeps a close eye on her two apprentice-age kits, fearful they will be snatched away like the other missing youngsters.
- Backstory
Born into the last litter of ValleyClan's previous leader, Shadowfoot was treated like royalty growing up, ridiculously favored by her father. Many suspected he would name her his deputy someday, so it was quite a shock for both the entire Clan and herself when Palestar was chosen instead, though the circumstances left no room for bias as he was, supposedly, StarClan's chosen. To say she was put off would be an understatement, but she chose not to hold it against him.
She was old enough to know war, but rarely saw the battlefield, Falconstar shielding her from the brutalities of combat. Her mother was killed in a border struggle when she was only 5 moons old and Falconstar was unwilling to risk his beloved daughter's life as well, despite her protests. She grew resentful, desiring to hone her skills and prove her worth to the Clan, but the war ended before she was ever truly given the chance. During the truce she befriended a former BridgeClan cat named Jaywhisper who had chosen to live life as a loner after the destruction of his Clan.
They remained close for many moons. When Shadowfoot discovered she was carrying his kits she implored Jaywhisper to join her, but the tom absolutely refused, claiming he would never join one of the Clans who destroyed his own, instead claiming she should become a loner with him instead. When Shadowfoot refused the two went their separate ways and she hasn't seen him since.

Unsure | Questioning.
- Clan & Rank
BarnClan | Warrior Apprentice.
- Allegiance Description
Robinpaw - A ginger, gray-brown and white patched tabby she-cat with swirling black stripes and lemon yellow eyes.
- Full Appearance
A young she-cat of average height and weight for her age. Her build leans more on the petite side, but she will likely fill out a bit more as she grows. Her short coat is a patchwork of ginger, gray-brown and white fur, wide black stripes dancing across her pelt. Her round eyes are a bright lemon yellow, always holding a glint of mischief that gives away her intentions. Her muzzle is of moderate length, ending in a dark brown nose.
- Personality
Robinpaw is a social being, an extrovert in every way. She enjoys the company of her fellow apprentices and will purposefully seek them out. Boredom is toxic in her eyes and she rarely sits still for long, easily losing interest in anything that proves slow or unengaging. She is driven and goal oriented, a thrill seeker always on the lookout for a good challenge. Clever yet easily distracted, Robinpaw often finds it difficult to finish projects before moving on to another
She’s adaptable and will bounce back quickly from an upsetting or compromising situation. Nothing can keep this young cat tied down for long. Conversation fuels her and Robinpaw feels out of sorts if left alone for too long. She’s known to be playfully sarcastic, enjoying being called out or contradicted by others as it gives her a chance to shoot back with some wry, smart ass comment. Robinpaw is undeniably charming in her own way, if not a bit on the obnoxious side.
Confident and poised, she always appears so very sure of herself. Every now and then she's prone to depressive moods where her attitude will take an uncharacteristic turn from bubbly to snappish and she'll wander off by herself. Most cats have learned to leave her be. She usually returns to camp in a cheerier mood, though any cat with a good sense of empathy could tell her cheerfulness is forced.
- Backstory
There isn't much to Robinpaw's history quite yet. She was born after the treaty was made, fortunate enough to have never known war and only the tension shared between the surviving Clans. Her mother was killed a moon after she became an apprentice when a loose dog invaded their camp, fighting tooth and claw to protect her Clanmates.
While the incident was both traumatic and heartbreaking, she comforted herself with the thought that Newtfur would continue to watch over her from StarClan and died a hero. She was lucky enough to have only witnessed the aftermath rather than the fight itself as she was out training with her mentor during the attack. Robinpaw continued on with her warrior training even after being offered a break from her duties to grieve, preferring to distract herself with work.

Brokenstep.
- Age

- Gender
Male.
- Orientation
Demisexual | Biromantic.
- Original Clan & Rank
BarnClan | Warrior.
- Allegiance Description
Brokenstep - Broad black and white patched tom with blue eyes. Walks with a heavy limp.
- Full Appearance
Brokenstep is a short black and white patched tom with no distinctive purebred heritage, though it is suspected he may have Siamese blood somewhere in his lineage due to the rarity of blue eyes outside of fully white cats. His hair is thin, but still manages to shed a great deal. He has a round face and almond-shaped, bright blue eyes. His whiskers are short and his tail is entirely black without even a speck of white. A small black dot can be found on the bridge of his muzzle and his chin.
His right hind leg is covered in scars, hair missing in clumps around the poorly healed wounds. He walks with a heavy limp as a result and was sentenced to the elder's den early in life. He came to the Clan bone thin and malnourished, but under the care of the medicine cat has filled out into a healthier cat. Despite his injury he takes it upon himself to still hunt and patrol the territory, even if not on an official patrol, and has built up a decent amount of muscle as a result.
- Personality
Outwardly volatile and unpleasant. He doesn’t trust easily and expects the worst out of everyone, preferring to be left alone rather than sought out for any sort of social interaction. He spends most of his days in the elder's den or elsewhere away from the Clan. General first impressions of Brokenstep would likely be he’s an extreme cynic with little to no regard for anyone else around him. This isn’t exactly true, while he will keep to himself given the chance and is infamous for his sharp tongue, he’s been known to intervene if someone needed help.
Seen as strange and too aggressive to approach outside of necessity, he doesn't have many friends to speak of. Brokenstep isn’t a cat particularly used to being treated nicely and views himself poorly. As such, he doesn't know how to deal with friendly cats and will still prove quite prickly even in the face of genuine kindness. An attitude like that rightfully tends to push others away, but should anyone prove persistent enough to stick around he’ll eventually grow less guarded around that particular cat.
- Backstory
Warning | Mention of abuse.
Brokenstep was once a promising warrior apprentice, born under the name Badgerkit to a ValleyClan queen and a passing loner. His Clan didn't question his mother's brief mate due to a desperate need for more kits. A loner was better than a BarnClan or BridgeClan sire. Despite being the runt of the litter and only half-Clan, it was undeniable he'd make a fine warrior one day, a determined and devoted youngster.
His career was cut short at only 10 moons old when he fell from a tree after battling an enemy warrior among the branches. Unable to continue fighting, he dragged himself under a thorn bush to escape his foe's claws. Once his mentor Pinefrost found him the older she-cat was furious with Badgerpaw for hiding despite the fact he likely would have been killed if he hadn't. To punish him she stepped on his injured leg and pressed down until she heard bones snap, essentially laming him before leaving him to die.
To her disbelief he managed to limp back to camp, but the leader at the time sent him away, having little use for a cat who couldn't fight or contribute to the Clan. He renamed the young tom Brokenstep as a final parting 'gift' before having him escorted to the border. Outraged and hurt by his Clan's betrayal, Brokenstep struggled to survive on his own with a permanent leg injury that hindered his hunting skills.
News of the war's end reached Brokestep's ears many moons later and against his better judgment he decided to check into the rumors. He, however, risked visiting with BarnClan instead of his own Clan, vowing to never set paw in ValleyClan territory again. Shocked to hear how he was treated, he was invited him to stay with them. He at first rejected the request, but returned only a few sunrises later. Inititally settled in as an elder, both his insistance he can contribute despite his injuries and the lack of able-bodied cats has seen him be reinstated as a warrior.

- Allegiance Description
Adderstrike - A sleek chocolate brown tom with battle-scarred ears and jade green eyes.
- Full Appearance
Adderstrike is a lithe and slender tom with an unusual appearance compared to the average BridgeClan cat. His fur is short, sleek and a solid chocolate brown in color, unmarred by any other color or marking while his almond shaped eyes are a piercing jade green. He lacks the size and muscle his Clan was known for entirely, willowy and long-legged like a ValleyClan cat instead. His ears are large, wide-set and forward tilting, riddled with large tears.
He's all elegance and refinement with a smooth, graceful gait. Forever poised and expressionless. Adderstrike's face is long and angular, further adding to his distinguished appearance. His svelte build should not be taken for granted however. His thin body still holds a surprising amount of toned muscle and dense bone. Adderstrike is not a fragile cat in the least and he'll gladly show you how he earned his warrior name if you push him to violence. His muzzle bears the marks of many claws and both ears are shredded. This cat has not been left untouched by war.
- Personality
His mind is an analytical one, rational and relying on logic alone to make his decisions, a true stoic through and through. Perhaps the most emotionally detached leader BridgeClan had ever known. Even the madness of leaders of past expressed more emotion than this silent tom. He started out with well intentions, but his leadership was a dark time. A cat with so little thought for the mental and emotional well-being of the living as well as the physical ought not be left in power and that was surely his downfall.
Obsessed with the new power he possessed, consumed by war and then grieving the death of his beloved brother, he drove his Clan into the ground. Death and failure ensured Adderstar learned to recognize his flaws and admit his mistakes, but he feels more resentment than regret. His tongue is as sharp as his mind and his claws are even sharper. Sarcastic and frigid in demeanor, he has isolated himself from the surviving cats he once called his Clanmates, living alone in the destroyed camp.
- Backstory
Born beside a single brother, concealed among gorse bushes far from camp rather than inside the safety of a well-guarded nursery, Adderkit and Hawkkit were the result of a forbidden romance. Their ValleyClan mother perished only a moon after birthing them and their father returned to a tragic sight, his dear mate's body torn and half-eaten by the fox she died fighting. He dragged her corpse closer to the border for her Clanmates to find before gathering his offspring.
Hawkkit looked quite like him, large and thick-furred, the favored son. Adderkit resembled his mother so strongly Rattlefang feared bringing him home would reveal the truth and attempted to leave his second son behind to face whatever fate had in store for a kit too young to care for himself. Adderkit proved resilient and clever from the start it would seem, following his father's trail and arriving in camp by nightfall. Rattlefang's treachery could no longer be hidden, and though his leader allowed him to stay he lost the respect of his Clanmates.
Growing up, Hawkflight found more acceptance among the Clan than his strange, lean brother, perhaps being the only cat who defended him from the other kit's bullying or the warriors' scowls. Rattlefang was certainly in no hurry to remind anyone he had sired a half-Clanner. They grew from kit to apprentice to warrior. Always together, always watching out for one another. Adderstrike was swift and sure-footed, Hawkflight strong and sharp of claw. They were a team to be reckoned with and ended the lives of many enemies side by side.
Shortly after receiving his warrior name he caught his leader's eye, Owlstar's attitude toward the half-Clan warrior changing. Rumors soon spread concerning their relationship and it caused quite a bit of controversy, Owlstar being many moons Adderstrike's senior. It was frowned upon for sure, but none dared to speak out against it and most of their scorn was placed on Adderstrike rather than Owlstar. When the previous deputy was killed in battle Adderstrike unsurprisingly replaced him and only two moons later Owlstar lost his last life in raid from ValleyClan.
Adderstar's time as a leader marked the end of his Clan's legacy. It started out strong, his intelligence winning him many battles, but he cared little for his Clanmate's well-being, finding it difficult to be concerned for cats whose hatred and judgment he had been forced to endure his entire life. The death of his brother drove him into the deep end, his thirst for vengeance blinding him. Cats died at his paws or else fled, leaving him alone with nothing to show for his uncontained rage. He gave up on life, prepared to rot in the forest where Hawkflight took his last breath.

- Allegiance Description
Smoke-eye - A large, longhaired blue-gray tom with hazel eyes. Partially blind in the left eye.
- Full Appearance
A large tom with a squared muzzle and tufted ears. He sports a thick blue-gray pelt, an impressive ruff surrounding his throat. His eyes are a light hazel, the left noticeably cloudy, his sight impaired. His massive paws are heavily furred, his build sturdy and muscular. Like most warriors who experienced the war, his muzzle bears some scars.
- Personality
Known to be a tad clumsy and forgetful, the tom is otherwise rather well-meaning. He doesn't contain a mean bone in his body and his never-ending optimism tends to either endear him to others or cause quite a great deal of irritation. Warm-hearted and patient, some of his flaws include an overabundance of forgiveness and a tendency to make impulsive decisions. While far from unintelligent, Smoke-eye is a bleeding heart and everyone knows it. Skilled in combat, he can prove a surprisingly formidable opponent when nessacary, but it's clear Smoke-eye would prefer to avoid violence when other options are available. With time and some proper direction he could turn out to make a fine leader, but as is...some cats may wonder why Emberstar hadn't chosen an older, wise cat for the position when the last deputy retired. Or a BarnClan born cat for that matter.
- Backstory
Trigger warning | Mentions of threated violence/murder against a kitten.
Born in BridgeClan. By the time he was three moons old, it became clear his brother Rook-kit had a different father. Kits of the same litter not sharing the same sire were possible but considered an unspeakable sin among 'civilized cats', and his mother's crime only grew worse with the discovery Rook-kit's father was a ValleyClan cat. Despite being half ValleyClan himself, Adderstar lacked any compassion for Juniperfur or her litter, considering both her and Rookkit 'tainted' and ordering their deaths.
Regardless of the betrayal, many cats didn't agree with the sentencing and it was no surprise when Juniperfur and Rook-kit disappeared the night before their execution. Smokekit, however, was unfortunately left behind. As a full BridgeClan cat, he had no reason to flee and the warriors who allowed Juniperfur to flee insisted he stay. His father Goosepelt wanted little to do with him and he was raised by the other queens.
Forced onto the battlefield for the first time only two moons later, he was shocked to witness his mother battling against her former Clanmates, finding she had found refuge with BarnClan and was now repaying them by fighting alongside them. He made an attempt at reaching her but lost her in the chaos. Determined to be reunited with his mother and brother, Smokepaw began looking for opportunities in which he could sneak away. The chance finally arose shortly after turning eight moons. He made a break for it and reached the barn undetected by a BridgeClan patrol, never looking back.
While BarnClan's warriors were initially less than thrilled to be taking in another defector from the enemy Clan, they accepted Smokepaw could prove useful as he would clearly grow into a large cat and their own numbers were decreasing. Upon arriving, however, Smokepaw found life still had some surprises in store. Rookpaw had chosen to join his true father in ValleyClan. Apparently, his brother had never been the same since his near assassination, his behavior toward their mother volatile and his desire to join ValleyClan apparent from the start.
Whether or not he was accepted didn't become clear until they met in battle shortly after Smoke-eye earned his warrior name. While his reaction was to avoid fighting his own kin Rooktail had other ideas and deliberately targeted him, the following battle growing savage as Smoke-eye realized Rooktail was aiming to kill and his instincts kicked into survival mode. He proved the victor, his brother's bleeding body and shallow breaths haunting his dreams well into the present. He has not seen him since and is uncertain if he survived.
Emberstar named him her deputy only a moon ago, many suspecting she chose a BridgeClan cat to make amends for BarnClan's participation in the war and in an effort assure the survivors who joined them they had a place in the Clan.
