I know this might be a useless question, but Im just curious! My lioness birth two cubs today and they both have mutations!!!! (Gave her a GMO cow) Wanted to know... Is that super rare? Has anyone have this happen before and what is the chances of that happening? https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794109971914 The lioness with the two cubs ^^. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Hi there. I used a GMO Cow on a Double Uterus lion a few months back and she gave birth to an entire 6 cubs; all of which had mutations :) 0 players like this post! Like? |

With a GMO it's relatively common to get multiple muts - they have the highest chance of success per cub out of any mutation breeding item. We don't know exact numbers but staff has confirmed it's over 50%. Congrats on your cubs, and I hope the AMP turns out to be one you like! :) (Also congrats @Glimmer, that's some nice odds even for a GMO!) 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Myriad That is pretty awesome to know and thank you ^^! If the females fertility is just 1% does the odds of a mutation go even higher? (Sorry for all of the questions lol.. Im still a little bit new when it comes to mutations???) 0 players like this post! Like? |

It does help a little, yes. The lower a lioness's fertility, the higher her chance of 'natural' mutations (i.e. mutated cubs without the need for items). So 1% is the best chance, in that sense. However, imho it isn't necessarily worth making a huge effort to breed a lot of 1% lionesses tbh. They can take a LOT of attempts to get pregnant (as in, several hundred, oftentimes), which is a huge drain on your energy and stops you being able to use it for making money off things like collecting event currency etc. The boost to the chances of a natural mutation from just low fertility does seem to be pretty tiny, as well. In fact most of the random mutated cubs I've had have actually been born from lionesses with relatively high ferts! So obviously ymmmv, and people will have differing opinions of course, but for me personally I'm not convinced the tiny increased chance of muts from VLFs - and especially the most extreme ones like 1-2%s - are really worth all the trouble and wasted energy. Edit to add: and don't be afraid to ask questions! We were all new to these things once, and there's a lot to learn/remember with muties <3 0 players like this post! Like? @ Myriad I totally understand how you feel about the 1% thing.... It took me 150 tries with this breeding XDD lol. When I first started lioden, I've always thought it was way better to do that but Im thinking about trying it with my other lioness that do not have very low fertility. 0 players like this post! And 150 is relatively good for a 1% too! Though I'm sure it didn't feel like that at the time The first few 1%s I ever tried years ago all look 200-300+ attempts each, and that was enough to put me off forever. 10-15 full energy bars spent per lioness is just a big nope for me! Partly I'm just lazy and really hate multiple breeding attempts, but I also figure that by saving energy on not doing really low fert breedings I probably make enough other profits from exploring and stuff with that energy that I could just buy and use CRBs with the money earned instead. 0 players like this post! Oh man... 200-300+ attempts is something I have no patients for as well(Was going to stop at 200 if I didnt get luck). I also understand because I really was torn between trying to breed the female or doing the event and today was the last day she would be in heat. Thank you so much for talking with me about this! ^^ This has help a lot with understanding this a lot more X3. 0 players like this post! Like? |

You got lucky. I used a GMO and CRB on a lioness, she didn't give me any muties. Usually I get at least a foldie or a mane mutie if I use a GMO. I have to wait to get one again in a few months ^^; 0 players like this post! Like? |

No trouble at all! <3 I'm sure there are plenty of other people who do find it worthwhile to battle it out breeding 1%s regularly, so don't let me put you off completely if that's what you want to do. They're just by no means the only option for mutation breeding 0 players like this post! Like? |
