You're not a mod. You can't tell people you disagree with to leave instead of giving feedback for a suggested change to a game we both play. I was trying to be sympathetic to you and your opinions, but clearly you're clearly not going to extend me the same courtesy. If this is something you really believe in, then you could have just ignored me, the one person who said anything vaguely critical. Instead you're basically telling me to shut up after two posts when you have no authority to silence other users. You don't want a discussion or feedback, which is the whole point of this board. Exactly. Just because some people say that you have to be nonbinary/trans if you do certain things, but you aren't, doesn't mean that some people aren't nb??? And Elliott, I'm really sorry. This post gave me a lot of hope tbh, and your message to me when I was unsure helped make me more comfortable claiming my identity instead of staying silent. Please don't give up on this just cause it's not something that enough people are comfortable with yet. Wouldn't you be upset if someone else advocating for something lgbt gave up? I get the feeling you'd be messaging them and trying to convince them they are doing the right thing, and the backlash is just because some people are a bit closed minded or have false info. @Meb Okay, there will be some people who try to slap a label on you. That's not right regardless of whether you're pro- or anti- trans people. You can validly be a female who likes to express androgynously and likes masculine things. This post isn't about me slapping labels onto you or anybody else. It's so that people who may want the NB labels can have the choice to adopt them I apologize for snapping at you earlier. I've been dealing with shit, so I've been more sensitive than usual. I just came back from church (my mother forces me to go, since I am unfortunately still a minor). Half the sermon was a bunch of transphobic, homophobic CRAP. I’m a biromantic ace, and there wasn’t really anything against aces, but I know Wonderful bi, gay, and trans people, and I really want to rant somewhere. I saw there was 89 no supports, and I legit felt like crying. What. Why? Did any of y’all grow up with homo/transphobic parents? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yes, actually! My mom isn't specifically abusive or anything, but she rants all the time about everything she can, from racial sensitivity being silly to trans people being misled/evil and gays being sinful and disgusting. I'm not allowed to talk about anything non-straight, and have to listen to everything without comment unless I want her disgust. She says that if I ever do end up with someone who isn't a cis male, my partner won't be allowed to visit, or be talked about in her home. I know it's not bad, especially when I have so many friends who have parents where it would be dangerous for them to know, but... *shrug* Idk 0 players like this post! So, reading through all the comments I've just seen a lot of people getting angry when others choose not to support this. I personally do not support. Is it because I dislike LGBTQ+ people? No. Is it because I grew up in a homophobic atmosphere? No. It's actually none of those things because neither are true. I have a lot of LGBTQ+ friends and my parents aren't homophobic, but I personally don't agree with the life style and because I don't I will hit the 'no support' button. I don't expect anyone to agree with me, it's fine if you don't and I'll respectful agree to disagree. I just also think that not everything has to be about sexuality, why does it seem that it has to be brought in to everything? Can't we just play the SIM GAME and leave sexuality out of it? Honestly, I'm tired of seeing and hearing about it every time I turn around. Yes, I know what you're gonna say 'if you don't like or agree then just don't come onto the thread. No one asked your opinion', but putting this on a suggestion thread that allows others to express there support or lack of for a certain suggestion IS asking for my opinion and I WILL share it because I have just as much right to as everyone else. I just don't think any of this is necessary because why does the label even matter? It shouldn't... 0 players like this post! Like? |
