OOc Thread Here! In a time of Great Sorrow, the land of Pyrrhia is thrown into turmoil....The assassination of two of Pyrrhia's dragon queens has sent the land into turmoil. An assassin on behalf of the former NightWing queen slaughtered both the RainWing and the SandWing queens - hungry for power, the SkyWings and Mudwings allied with the Nightwings in the Queen's quest for more power, fighting against the Seawings, Sandwings, RainWings, and Icewings.. The bloodthirsty NightWing queen's reign ended with her death, but the damage had already been done; the war rages on. Hybrids are being slaughtered left and right, eggs are being stolen from hatcheries; every dragon lives in fear as the bloodiest war in Pyrrhia's history wages outside their homes. Meanwhile, there have been reports of scavengers killing more and more dragons each year - the creatures they had never imagined as a threat were starting to fight back against them. Desperate to save her land, her tribe, and her lover, an icewing/seawing hybrid, Queen Bermuda sought the help of a Nightwing seer. He foretold that only seven hatchlings, one from each tribe, could help unite the seven dragon tribes and bring peace to the land. How, however, he could not say - and so, driven to exhaustion, Queen Bermuda stole an egg from the hatchery of each kingdom and hid them in a secret place. She can only hope that the seer had been right- she is close to death, and the land she so desperately loves is close to going up in flames...… -------------------------- Rules-You can have as many characters as you like, provided that you can roleplay with them all. If you make one and then decide you don't want to use them anymore, we can find a way to remove them from the roleplay (ex: killing the character, chasing them off, etc.) -Please no animus characters. :) -Please ask before designating any characters as a princess, king, or anything similar if the tribe already has a queen. Please ask the person in question who is playing the queen. :) -The roleplay will start when we have all the prophecy dragonets. Starchaser nodded in response to Torch before wheeling around and making his way towards the herd in the distance. He made sure to keep an eye on Solstice, who had now begun to dive towards the Delta below, he watched her weave through the sparse amount of trees on the ground before rising again, heading towards a tall outcropping of rock, where she could sit and watch the dragonets as they hunted. As Starchaser neared the group of animals, he began to make out what exactly they were - cows. He had eaten cow a few times. However, what really captured his attention was something on the edge of a treeline half a mile or so away - it was a scavenger den. Or rather, dens, plural. They were all arranged in a sort of circular pattern, around an empty stone middle. He could make out tiny shapes from here - he was almost driven mad with curiosity, but he remembered a story Bermuda once told him. One of her Seawings had been killed by scavengers. Looking at them now, Starchaser was wondering how the hell a small group of scavengers could possibly take down a dragon. However, when he was younger, he had voiced that opinion to Hurricane and had gotten scolded. Scavengers had killed dragons before - full grown dragons. And they definitely wouldn't be happy if a couple of dragonets got ahold of their cows. He assumed they were theirs, as he had heard that scavengers sometimes kept livestock. He frowned, thinking. "I don't know..." he trailed off, sighing. He looked back towards Solstice - the Icewing had settled herself on the outcropping. She seemed to be focusing on the cows, and not the scavenger dens in the distance. Starchaser had been told to stay away from their dens, not their livestock. If Solstice had an issue with it, she would tell them, the young Nightwing decided. ----- Solstice nodded to Blizzard. "That would be a smart decision, in my opinion." She responded. Torch nodded " Its the best we got " she said she knew the icewing didn't like blood but she and the others needed to learn to hunt .Her wings flapped silently as she flew ahead of the nightwing. ((She essentially told them all to go and hunt together instead of apart.)) Starchaser snorted a little. "Yeah. Seems like a lot of cows for some little scavengers." He laughed, circling above them. He watched as Blizzard took down a calf. "Nice kill, Blizzard." He called out, watching as Torch flew down to him. "Here, let's find a place to stash that one so we can get a couple of the bigger ones. I want to make sure we bring back some for Bermuda and Hurricane, too." Starchaser circled around the herd. "I'm going to drive them towards you all." He indicated to Torch with a flick of his talons. "You can breathe fire and take a couple of them down and we can carry them all back." He turned towards her, awaiting her response before fixating his gaze on the scavenger dens. A few of the scavengers seemed to be leaving their den space, watching the dragons fly about. They didn't seem threatening at all, but he didn't want to take any chances. "It might be better if we make this quick." He muttered, his gaze fixating on Solstice now, who had began to stand up, her gaze fixed on the scavengers in the distance. If Solstice thought it was something worth paying attention to, then so did Starchaser. ((Could we also keep OOC posting in the OOC thread? Blizzard to another deep breath and skunk into the trees with the calf. He dropped it in the cover and crept up behind the herd, working his jaw back and forth. He was prepared to freeze any that escaped from the main herd in their tracks. His eyes riveted as he heard a small twig cracks. He slowly turned around to see a scavenger. It seemed as surprised to see him as he was it. Then, it leveled something on its shoulder and there was a click sound. The next moment his shoulder felt like it was on fire. “HELP!!!” He yelled 0 players like this post! Like? |
