This is an official clan thread for the Giving Tree Clean-Up Crew Clan! Lioden Giving Tree Clean-Up Crew What is this clan for?As of the creation of this post, there are 1010 male lion cubs in the giving tree. This is almost 10x the amount of female cubs there, and for good reason. While there are many uses for female cubs of all varieties, male cubs are generally limited to sex-changing and kingship. This means that for the average user, the standards for a male cub are much higher. Thus, a conundrum has been created. People want to get rid of the cubs so they abandon them at the tree. But nobody really wants to pick them up either, so they stay at the tree. I believe that this "landfill" of cubs will continue to grow unless we decide to do something ourselves as a concentrated group, for as far as I've noticed tree cubs do not get deleted. Enter the Giving Tree Clean-Up Crew. This clan (created by yours truly) is dedicated to the purpose of sacrificing our daily tree slot to remove the unwanted cubs from the tree. By doing our part whenever we can, we will "clean" the tree and make it easier for people to drop actually good males for newbies and others to pick up and heir. To further this cause, those who wish to join me should follow two general principles. Principles of the Janitorial Crew1. As often as possible, members should strive to use their singular tree grab for a male cub or adol. What is done with these cubs is up to the player, as long as they are gone from the tree. 2. Members should refrain from worsening the problem at the tree and should actively choose not to drop male cubs unless they themselves would enjoy receiving them. What are benefits of being part of the clan?Technically, players could purposefully choose to help the tree on their own and do not "need" to join the clan to do so. However, this is likely a difficult choice to make as it is directly a near-daily sacrifice. To this end, I propose that if this clan gets enough members and a following, I myself will donate and also accept donations of nice-looking female cubs which will be raffled off to clan members with minimal entry fees to balance out the loss of all the potentially nice girls people could be grabbing. Clan members can also donate SB, items, and food to reward each other for taking on this mission. If we motivate each other, it will be easier and more fun to tidy the tree. Raffle 19, 20, 21Once again, I'm here with more super neat lions from Havoc, all of them pre-decorated and wildly beautiful. However, this time they put in some cool lore pieces with each one. Here's how it'll work! -Each lion is going to have an interactive short story piece! Havoc wrote Tempest's and Morgra's. I did one for Ragnarok. -You can either respond here or in PM with a response piece to your chose lions. Each one will count like a ticket and I'll count them all up as usual. -Don't worry about the quality of the writing. If you win, I'll simply add your piece to the bio, and perhaps I'll write an ending tidbit from the prize's point of view too. -You don't have to use real items as offerings to the lions so you're free to put out whatever you think they'll like best! Though, RNG will still be the deciding factor. -You can write a response to multiple lions and get multiple tickets, however, you can only win 1 out of 3 so take that how you will. This also applies to known alts, so there's no point in using alts in this one. (Well, you'd have to write a response per account anyway so let's save you that effort, lol.) -I'm assuming Havoc will roll with the same rule as last time so please don't sell, chase, kill, etc. your prize lion. I really shouldn't expect any of you to considering how fucking gorgeous they all are, but let's make that clear. -If for whatever reason you are shy about your writing, you can send written responses to me in PM instead of putting them in this thread. I'll count them all the same. Make sure to specify which lion you are entering to in either your post or your pm, please. -This is a bit of a big raffle so it'll probably be open a full day/day and a half for entries. If there's enough interest I might keep it going for 2 days. Ok, now let's meet the lions! Tempest You wandered over a wide meadow. slowly narrowing your eyes against the raging storm around you as you spotted a Lioness in the distance. Courageous and without hesitation you watch the fierce Lioness throwing herself into battle, defeating one enemy after the other. You stand in silence as you see the unusual scene unfold before your eyes. Suddenly, you flinch as a lightning strikes the earth with its enormous power while the Lioness let out a mighty roar that sends down shivers to her foes. Distracted by the thoughts going through your mind, you didn't notice the Lioness approach you. "Welcome, wanderer" she roars. "I am Tempest, a goddess of storms and war. You are not my enemy, so I shall let you live... for now." Intrigued by her strong personality, you ask her to join your pride. "Go with you? She laughed. Why should I follow a mere wanderer? Present me an offering, to show your devotion and I might consider following you to your pride." Morgra You found yourself wandering through a deep and large forest. You don't know for how long you have been on your way, but you know you are lost. Without your pride, or familiar lands nearby, you have started to explore this unknown land. Sometimes, the best way to go is simply moving on. Suddenly, you came to a halt, as a beautiful and bewitching voice caught your attention. You listened closely, but you couldn't understand the ancient chants that have been whispered and sung in ways, that nearly send you off into a trance. Before you fully lost your mind you decided to approach the clearing, where the cause of your amazement came from. Before you, there stood a beautiful dark Lioness. A slithering white snake was entangled on her body, that you keep staring at with suspicions. "Do you like my familiar?" the deep voice of the Lioness suddenly ripped you out of your thoughts. "Don't worry she only bites sometimes" The lioness send you a mischievious smile. "I am Morgra, the Witch~! What brought you into my forest?" You explain that you are lost and can't find your way home. "I can show you the way home!... in exchange for a little gift.. an ingredient for my ritual maybe?" She roars. Who knows? Maybe she'll even like it at your pride and stay. You wonder how she knows where you live but some questions should rather stay unanswered... Ragnarök It was exactly midday when you encountered him. A fell heat smothered the plains you were exploring, choking your breath and making you pant with thirst. It felt as painful as swallowing sand, so you desperately searched anywhere you could for a waterhole. As you stumbled upon one, you could sense how crowded it was. The other animals had surely encountered the same issue as you and were flocking, swarming to the tepid water, treating it as ambrosia all the same. Then suddenly, the heat dissipated as a dark, cruel shadow swallowed the sun and bathed you in darkness. It was a solar eclipse, an amazing rare event, yet how? Shouldn't you have seen the moon coming? It was unnatural and unprecedented. However, it was nothing compared to what occurred next before you, as the animals at the pool viciously turned on each other without an advance warning. You felt chills dig deeply into your spine and stiffen your fur as prey turned on predator and parents turned on young. The waterhole refilled itself with blood as death smeared the land in gory crimson under the wicked eclipse. "Beautiful, isn't it?" You turned around with a shocked snarl as a lion with horse's hooves managed to impossibly creep right up behind you, his muzzle carrying an entertained smirk. Darkness smoldered off of his fur and you wondered silently to yourself if you were staring into the face of a demon. "Well? You'd love to cause trouble with me, right? My name is Ragnarök, and I'm sure you know what that means, right? Come on, give me something as a token of your appreciation of my talents and maybe I'll consider wreaking havoc at your side. It couldn't hurt now, could it? Certainly not more than how much I hurt them..." He turned and rolled languidly in the crimson mud, laughing as you sat on his offer, clearly not in much of a rush nor upset at what he had caused. Don't mind me, can't pass up on either of those girls... Tempest: Black Rose growls, startled by her own snarkiness. He glares for only a moment, before switching to a soft smile, deciding that it would be stupid of him to disrespect such a powerful lioness. "You see, Tempest, I have been looking for powerful lionesses to keep my pride in check when I pass. I am almost 15 years of age, and soon, my chosen heir will take the throne. I need to make sure that he will follow my every wish, even while I may be beyond my own mortal years. I have had rumors of rebellion, and need to know my chosen heir will not only be safe, but have helpful ears to make sure no one can harm him..." Black Rose has his head bowed, trying his hardest to keep himself in check. Deception is a game he is used to, but he is talking to a goddess. They could easily see through his lies. "Of course," Black Rose continues on, "You would be his queen, and you would be able to spread chaos to other prides, strike fear into the hearts of your own and my own enemies! I will not be on this realm of existence for much longer, but you and Diógenes could rule the savannah!" Black Rose roars, head held high, chest puffed out, trying to impress the Goddess in any way possible. She my queen and actual heir.) startles, the sudden lioness before her is beautiful, yes, but she was not ready for such a shock. This could be good for her, however... "I am Feri, dubbed the Goddess of the stars by my adoptive mother, Mia, the Goddess of light. I thank you for your help home. Is there something specific you need for that ritual of yours? I am sure I could find it for you!" Feri smiles, her helpful nature shining through. The snake lets out a small sound, and Morgra smiles. "I need a manticora claw. You have no need to kill the thing, but I do need a claw. It's the last thing I need for my very special ritual..." The snake watches Feri intently, watching her fear morph into relief, and then determination. It hisses again. "How long do I have to collect the claw? It may take me a day or two, knowing my luck..." Feri grumbles the last part to the ground. She hears the snake hiss once, twice, three times. She looks back up towards the lioness and her snake companion. "Three days? I'll do it in two! As soon as you can take me towards lands I know of, of course... I only know how to gain a claw nearby my home." Feri stands tall, smiling as brightly as she can. Morgra smiles, before whispering something in whatever language she was speaking earlier, and the forest melts away around her. "You have 3 days, young one. Come find me when you have my claw." Morgra smiles at the fading lioness, with wings and fur of stars. Her smile spreads across her jaw. "I wonder is she can really get my precious claw..." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Feri suddenly sees Mia, worried and pacing. She purrs gently, trying not to startle her, but Mia startles anyways. Her head shoots up, and she smiles. "Feri! Where have you been??? You should've been here, preparing for tomorrow! You know how important this is!!!" Mia's smile of relief has become a snarl of rage. Despite being so short and kind, she is quite a bit... feisty. She continues to berate Feri, but when she goes to take a breath, The goddess of stars speaks up. "I've found someone who can help us." Mia stops, staring quietly, her eyes curious but a worried crease in her forehead. Feri continues, "A witch. All I need to do is get one more ingredient for her ritual, and she may just help our cause..." Feri shies away from Mia, scared she said something wrong when the creases in her forehead increased, and her eyebrows dropped. She sighs. "What does she need, young one? It is wise not to mess with a witch..." Feri explains her plan to get the manticora claw, and Mia smiles. "A wise decision. It is better to make it seem like an accident, and Nirah's claw will grow back. He won't be missing it for long. Now go, the sun will start to set soon, and we must have her on our side before tomorrow morn'." Feri smiles before nuzzling Mia and running off. So much work to do, so little time! She must hurry! Soon enough, she is at Nirah's home, the cave Black Rose told her about. She shakes her fur out before striding in, but seeing Nirah makes her freeze. He's huge! How is she going to take him down?? Before she can back away, or even re-puff her fur, Nirag rolls on his back to look at her. "Hey dudette! C'mon in, I don't bite, I promise! Haha!" Well, that's certainly strange... oh well. No time to dwell on it now. Feri walks in, her head bowed slightly and eyes searching. "May I ask who you are, my dudette? As much as I adore the company," Nirah purrs, rolling onto his legs and rubbing against Feri's side. "I would like to know the name of such an angel." He smiles softly, before going back to his original spot and laying on his back again. Feri, a blushing mess, explains shakily who she is, but when she mentions Black Rose, Nirah grimaces. "Yeah, I know him." A sigh, and a look away. "He's efficient at handling my little quests, but... he's too brutal for my taste. You're a part of his pride, though? I'm surprised he even-" He goes to finish the sentence, but Feri interrupts. "-Has a pride at all? Yeah, me too. Trust me, he won't tomorrow." Feri smiles at the confusion settling in Nirah's eyes, before continuing, "The pride and I are going to de-thrown him tomorrow... and you could be of help". Nirah jumps up, happiness skittering in his eyes, ready to help his new starry night queen. "All I need you to do... is give me a claw? I-i know it sounds weird, but-" "I'll do it. Anything to help such a divine being as yourself... and to get rid of Black Rose, of course. I hate that guy." Nirah smiles, and it infects Feri, a very happy grin spreading wide across her face. Nirah walks away, almost bouncing, and comes back with an old looking claw. "I hope it doesn't matter if it's from last year... Black Rose got a little too rough for my claw to handle." He smiles, and with the happiest of thanks, Feri nuzzles under his chin, before running towards the wicked forest she had gotten lost in. Nirah, with a blushing face, smiles softly and the fast star like lion. "Maybe I'll stay here a while... seems worth it if such a kind and pretty dudette is around..." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"MORGRA! MORGRA! I'VE GOT IT!" Morgra jumps, stepping on her familiars tail. It hisses at her, before hissing at Feri, who just barreled out of the trees into the clearing. "I-i know I said two days, but I did it in a few hours instead! Ha... haha!" Feri pants, before pushing the claw towards the witch, which the snake grabs and brings to the witches paw. It hisses, and Morgra gives a wicked smile. "Thank you young one. This is truly appreciated more then you know..." Morgra grins, before dropping the claw into a pile of bones and herbs, among other things. "Now... I can finally see her again." Before Feri can ask what she means, she starts to chant above her pile of goodies. A rumble from the ground, a thunder rumble, a bird dropping dead from the sky... What is she DOING?!?!!? Feri goes to roar, feeling like her bones are shattering, before the chanting suddenly stops, and the pain is gone as fast as it had came. Feri opens her eyes (when had she closed them?), and sees... a ghost? Morgra talks to the ghost, but Feri's ears are ringing and cannot hear the words. The ghost smiles, nuzzling a now crying Morgra, before disappearing into mist. Morgra smiles at Feri, walking over. "Thank you, young one. Now, I know of your pride... and I know what you will ask of me. I will be there, but I can't promise that my potions will help. Now, lets get you home, shall we?" Feri smiles and nods, before fazing back home to Mia, and explaining what will happen tomorrow morning. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The morning comes, and the pride is in chaos. Black Rose has killed a lioness and her cubs! The other lionesses are roaring, biting and clawing at him. His roars grow louder, and when he sees Feri, flying up with Mia on her back, and he angrily roars again. He jumps, but Mia jumps onto him, and the blood bath begins. His heir is no where to be seen, and Black Rose has swung multiple pride members in to rocks and trees. Then, when Morgra shows up, Black Rose screeches in pain as acid hits his legs. Morgra is hit into a rock, and passes out from the blow. "MORGRA!" Feri screams, before growling at Black Rose. The pride gasps, backing away from Black Rose slowly, roaring and yipping, happy little cheers. Growls, circling, pounce, charge, rest, charge... Feri is losing. Badly. The pride goes to help... But Nirah beats them to it. "Yo, dudette! I'm here to save the day!" Nirah yells, and Black Rose's pupils go smaller, looking up at the manticora with a mighty rage. "EXCUSE ME?!?!? I do quests for you, I kill and steal for you, and this is the thanks I get??? I get dethroned and killed?" He jumped at the manticora, but of course, he flies higher and out of the way of ferocious teeth of a smilus primal. "You wretched creature, I'LL-" "You'll just die, Black Rose! Your tyranny will rain on this pride no longer!" Feri interupts, and charges at the falling smilus. With a jump at Black Rose, she grabs ahold of the tyrants neck with her teeth, and chomps. With a choking roar, the two fall towards the earth, and Feri forces Black Rose to hit the ground and get crushed underneath her. She smiles. It's done. "Long live the king, but not the tyrant, you know, Black Rose?" Black Rose chokes, blood filling his lungs, before his eyes close and he takes his last breath. The war is over. Woo! Done! I hope those were okay, haha! I would do one for Ragnarök, but I don't have any space for another male, sadly! I also included a bit of my own lore (basically Black Rose is a tyrant, and Feri is chosen by the pride to overthrow him, which will 'happen' tomorrow, since he's turning 15 tomorrow)! This took an hour out of my day... lmao, worth it! These were fun to write!!! Edit: Holy heck Morgra's is very much longer now lmao. I should probably add that Havoc gave me a sex changer for the male if you like him but prefer a girl, so if that factors in you can all apply to Ragnarok as a female. @Ishuna Creating tickets. :3 Like your pieces, btw! Yeah, you don't have to do something long like I did, haha! I just let it get away from me a bit! (Believe it or not, Morgra's was gonna be waaaay longer, showing Feri's quest to get a claw from Nirah, and how she would ask for Morgra's help in dethroning Black Rose! @Ishuna Well, depending on how lucky you get, I'd suggest that would make a good entry into the bio later, so maybe don't toss it entirely haha. The lions all come with the stories posted here as well as some info and banners, which you can edit if you choose to if won.
