Welcome to Survival!

Welcome to The Hollow - Survival, where you can work to keep your foxes alive! Hunt, Forage, and even Raid other player's hollows. This is all based on the stats of your fox (every fox starts with a base of 12 and certain perks will increase that later). This system is roll based, Singing or another DM Staff Member will roll your forms and let you know what happens during your Fox's adventure to Survive.

If you encounter a fight, or are raiding another player, you will need a d8. Fights are done within a max of 3 rounds where both players roll a d8, highest roll wins, and the loser takes the difference in damage. Your Foxes only have a base of 10 Life Points, so your character can and will die if you aren't careful. After your character takes at least one hit (at least one losing die roll) your character can back down and run away. If you run your character won't receive any food or herbs, if you win a staff member will roll you a specific amount of food or herbs as victory, and you could also be rewarded with a +1-5 in your stat! Right now, there's no way to raise your Life Points and it costs 1 Life Point per Fox to Hunt/Forage/Raid.

d8s are always used for fighting, this is random encounters or raiding!
Speaking with The Oracle does NOT take away a Life Point


The Oracle - Mondays ONLY
A Giant white elk with frosted eyes sits beneath the Moon Tree. It's fur glistens like the stars themselves and you are at first caught in a trance taking in the beauty of this creature.
"Step forward, young one." The elk beckons you, pulling you from your gaze. Will you ask the oracle for the secrets of the universe? What is to befall your hollow? There are endless possibilities and so much that can weigh on the shoulders of a fox with a home to protect. Beware though, as asking the Oracle a question could garner both a positive or negative response against your hollow, was it better to know or should you have left the fates alone?

Hunting - Wednesdays ONLY
Hunting is open every Wednesday of the week. Here you have the chance to find prey for your foxes, though be warned there is also a chance for random encounters as well.

What good does prey do?
For each prey point you have you are able to replenish the life point on your foxes by 1. However the life points can still not raise above 10.

Foraging - Fridays ONLY
Foraging is also an important part of keeping your fox alive, as there is a chance that foxes will get sick throughout each season. Different sicknesses give different status effects so make sure you have foxes collecting those herbs!

The meadow is open every Friday, though random encounters are still a possibility.

Raiding - Anytime
Another really good way to gain Prey and Herbs is to raid other hollows. This is seen as a last resort move by most hollows desperate enough, sometimes it may be the only option to survive. When raiding a hollow your chosen fox(es) will attack another player's camp. This could lead to injuries and even deaths so be wise in where and when you send them.
