Ortaja watched as the guy rolled over making sure he didn't.. well- accidentally burn himself with the fire orb still floating in between the two of them. That would.. not be the greatest first impression would it? He had no intentions to harm this guy- let alone ruin this first impression. He was quite intrigued by this new form of magic.. he didn't want something so interesting to be taken from him so quickly. He slowly got to his feet- shivering as another gust of cold air only served to remind him of their current circumstances. Urlden was right- they needed to find shelter.. and fast. It was easy to get lost in a forest though.. they'd have to be.. careful of their plans. At least they'd be safer in numbers right? Hey.. speaking of stolen items though..

" I agree with you on the terms of getting shelter and everything- especially since I really don't want to catch a cold, let alone die of hypothermia out here but- I have a.. quick question for you. Do you.. happen to have any of your stuff on you either? Anything at all can be useful but if our circumstances aren't.. coincidence then.. I doubt you'd have your stuff either. Also do you uh- need help getting up..? " He let out a strained laugh at his words.. trying to at least cheer up the atmosphere. He doubted he'd be able to support Uldren weight.. the guy probably being much larger than he was- and probably more muscular for that matter. He had to try though right- he felt... responsible. He had to do something to ease this guy's trouble. Lest he be condemned to staring his own problems in the face. His.. questions about the magic could come later. Survival took priority right now.

(( No worries about the reply part! I've just.. scared people off before though so I just wanted to make sure y'know? Also, I don't particularly have a ref sheet or anything for Ortaja as he was.. an oc of my design- namely, he was meant to be a DND character of sorts but it didn't last very long. None the less he does have quite a bit of story to him that I could ramble on a lot about. But, main reason for bringing that up was the fact that most all relationships he has formed in the past were completely platonic so don't worry about the romance stuff. I'm with you on the fact that hey, if they have good chemistry I'm down, but that would be a little ways in the future lol. Granted the ONE person Ortaja ever actually had a romantic interest in kinda nearly killed him in the end so like? He's had a bit of a rough go on anything of a romantic sort at all- XD He just has a particular interest in and.. love for magic. So much so that he was teased in the past for checking a couple of mage guys out when he was more just interested in the magic than the people. He's just.. an awkward boy what can I say?

Based off the ref though, and completely out of character here, Uldren is a handsome boy. XD ))

When questioned about his things, the Awoken slowly began trying to search himself. He managed to sit up, making it fairly easier for him to try and see in the darkness as he slipped his hand inside every pocket and pouch on his person. And he was greeted by.... nothing. Absolutely nothing useful. Not his handgun, or his potions, no ammo, and most importantly: No Pulled Pork.

That last fact freaked him out quite a bit, because if his Ghost was dead then that would explain why he was so weak. Not to mention, if Pulled died, Uldren was also a goner. But, for now at least, he'd rather think that wasn't the case. Maybe he was just...trapped somewhere, or just lost. He sighed, shaking his head. "I have nothing..." The awoken stated, glancing back at his elvish accomplice with a defeated frown. "All of my things are missing... Well, most of them." He spoke, grabbing the white sheet he always carried with himself. He also realized that his ring was right where he'd left it, hanging from his neck with a piece of string. Nothing awfully useful, but he was glad not to have lost either.

Hie eyes met him again, and he nodded a little. "Yes, that would be nice..." Uldren answered to the question about getting up, just holding a hand up to try and lift himself off the snow with the help of his unusual companion. And to answer the concerns, he is most definately larger. He was by no means a bodybuilder, but it does show that the awoken was used to physical activity and likely fighting. Admittedly he was a bit concerned for the little guy's ability to help him stand, but alas... He needed help whether either of them liked it or not. And the former prince would much rather not be a nuisance.

@Winter: And ooh, really? That's actually really cool. I've never played DND before. Well, sort of. I have played games with my friends that use DND mechanics like...once, but still. Still, i'm not really familiar with the actual OG story of DND though. And it's fine, I don't mind XD Also, about the whole nearly getting killed by a lover thing... that's a heck of a ton o' bad luck lmao.

(( I'll try to respond soon but fair warning I am getting picked up tonight to hang out at someone else's place for the rest of tonight/most of tomorrow so I may disappear- though I'll try to get one more post in. Though yeah, we're probably gonna be headed towards that house next haha.

Yeah, some of the og lore of dnd I don't even know- especially since dnd is so heavily inspired by whatever the Dungeon Master wants it to be. So while we took the basics of the races and such [ obviously very.. tweaked for mister Ortaja over here but he has his reasons for being so odd haha ] and just sorta made a story of our own? His own home tribe which, by choice of the dm, had abandoned magic. Ortaja ended up leaving in pursuit of magic since he couldn't find it there. Of course that wasn't the normal for elves- but it was for his tribe anyway. His old partner was from this tribe too but was more of a sword for hire? He followed Ortajas little group for a while but he got paid quite the hefty sum for a bad deal on Ortaja's end. Granted, I'm not sure if that character even had any feelings for Ortaja at all it might have been all one sided for all I know. Thankfully he was bailed out by his cleric friend but that nasty little scar I mentioned earlier was his constant reminder of it- though it a memory he'd like to forget and he tends to.. fear romance in itself now lmao. Maybe one day the poor guy will catch a break and find someone good but. XD But hey! Its a memory he has forgotten- at least in this rp. ))

Alistor sighed in defeat he decided it be best to stay put in case Rose might appear again so he walks back into the house he looks down to see a white feather on the floor he bend down and grabs it he walk toward the fire place and grabs the chair and put in front of the window Alistor yawns and sits in the chair he close his eye and fall into a deep sleep the white feather falls out of his paw and land on the floor and vanishes out of existence.

Well.. there was his answer. Even his strange companion's items had up and vanished without a trace. This.. definitely wasn't a coincidence. Whoever brought the two of them here had some twisted sense of humor didn't they? His eyes flickered to the ring around Uldren's neck that he gestured too after his rather defeated statement that he had nothing. Ortaja couldn't say that he had many accessories that he could check for but.. could it be enchanted? That would be some good luck for his rather long streak of bad. Either way, he at least completed the rather daunting task of getting Uldren at least.. off the ground. It was surprisingly easier than he had initially expected anyway- what with his scrawny mage arms and all. Not that he could remember it, but he was used to battle in his own right. The difference though was that he was a mage- a wizard. They were meant to be on the sidelines casting devastating spells not.. up in the front lines facing whatever beast may come their way head on.

Ortaja grunted when he was now bearing the vast majority of his companion's weight. It was a bit awkward, but slowly and steadily they may be able to make some progress. At the very least though- Ortaja could will his fire orb to lead the way in whatever direction they deemed fit to travel in. Which was honestly a gamble- as everything in this forest looked the same from where they stood and even Ortaja's earlier foot prints had practically vanished with the onslaught of snow. Ah well, he'd have to just pick a direction and stick with it. Man he could really go for a nice house right now- or hell, even a cave. Just something out of this storm. Thats.. just what he had to keep focusing on. A nice, warm bed. Yeah. Thats what he's doing this for.

" Hey this may be a bit of a crazy question but- is that ring of yours enchanted? I won't ask the details but an enchantment may prove useful. I have none of my supplies nor the energy really to form an arcanic weapon or item right now, but that sort of thing may really give us the edge here. " He knew better than to ask anymore about that ring.. namely why he wore it around his neck instead of on his finger- but at the very least asking if it was enchanted was an okay question right? Morality and knowing what is and isn't okay to ask strangers is.. weird in itself. Regardless, on the two of them went. Step by awkward step.. they would eventually find a place to rest.

Alistor eye flutters open he look outside from the window he yawns glade that he has shelter but he scans the forest from the window in hopes of seeing his friend but he see nothing but snow and trees he sighs leaning more on the chair he look over to the fire place the fire still going he thought he yawns again closing his eye" another nap wouldn't hurt would it?" he asked him before closing his eye.

Soon enough, the Awoken found himself beginning to regret his decision of letting the smaller man help him up and walk. He knew he was larger, and he honestly felt like he was more or less crushing the poor guy. Really, he was trying his very damn best to try and get some of the weight off Ortaja by trying to support himself on his own two feet, but he was only met with cold numbness on his appendages and joints. If the elf were to let go or crumble under the weight, Uldren would find himself kissing the damn snow once again. Thankfully, it seemed both of them would push onward rather easily, and little by little the Awoken was beginning to warm up once again.

Either way, being this close to him, Ortaja could have noticed that sheet he had draped back over his shoulders was very soft. Definitely not warm at all, if a bit wet from the snow, and frankly quite dirty. But whatever it was, it looked like expensive material. And the ring itself? It seemed to be pure silver, with some engravings on it that were certainly not easily visible with the little light they had to guide them, but if at some point examined closely, would clearly not be any language the elf was familiar with at all.

When Ortaja asked about the ring, Uldren was hit by yet another pang of silent panic. Was his ring enchanted? That was a great question, to which he did not have a great answer. He remained quiet for a bit as he mentally scrambled for any sort of a coherent response, and eventually deciding against lying. "...I'm not sure." The former prince simply mumbled, shakily reaching up with his free hand to trace his bare fingers over the silver ring. It was just one of the thing he had woken up with the first time after his original death. He wasn't sure what it meant; he couldn't remember at all. All he knew was that at some point he sat up within a marble pantheon, and all he had was Pulled Pork, his ring, the sheet... and questions.
