[ Hear me out, hear me out. ]

Gnawrocks are a pretty important and well used breeding item - especially when breeding rosettes. They also have more uses per breeding than a buffalo scrotum (only one ball per breeding, but a breeding can use two gnawrocks).

Buffalo balls currently have two months that you can obtain them in. February, which is their main month and where they are easiest to get, and August, where they exist to give the stocks a little bump but are pretty costly compared to everything else in the event.

My suggestion is to give gnawrocks a bumping month like buffalo balls have - that month being April. The idea isn't that you can stock up on like 100. The idea is to just give their in-game numbers a boost - especially now that hybrid season is over.

Option One:
Completing Wenets questline (personal - per account) and opening the shop + spring fully (community) would grant an account 1 ochre gnawrock. This would limit the amount each player could earn to 2 (1 per account). Important: This would not just be given to every account automatically. You would have to hit a button on the event page to claim it. This makes it so only active users get the reward.

Option Two:
(This one is considered limited because there is a limit to how much HP you can earn because you can only take 1 quest per RO)
Put them in Wenets shop. Probably for around 40HP each.
If you do wenet's quests every day and buy nothing else youll end on 62-64HP. And the primordial Spring quest gives you an extra 25. If my calculations are right, and you do all possible quests every day, you'll end on about 89HP per account (May vary by 2-4HP). That's about 1-2 per account. This option would put pressure on Roasted Lambs since they're also a shop exclusive.

Give me your thoughts. If you don't support I would love to know why.

Did some calculations and added a second alternative that also limits how many each player would be able to earn :)

Honestly, I think Crunchy Worm is the main culprit for market-disaster, that thing needs a swift boot in the expensive direction LOL.

I like this other option, I'll be changing my no-support; I think making it available in Wenet's shop is a much better idea :3

They really do.

I’m glad I could think of something that sounded a little better for both ends of the Gnawrock market! After I thought about it a while I really like the wenet option as well.

I'm much more in favour of the Wenet option too, I think that's a great idea! And imo a good compromise between accessibility and rarity

If my opinion as a pure seller matters: Wenet's shop is probably the best option! I would still buy all Roasted Lambs personally and just stock up on gnawrocks in Sept.

very well thought out, i see no issue with a booster month, as you put it. i agree with aggy's comment as well; in my years of playing lioden the stat market and egg yolks are at a new low, and this could be an excellent way to boost things.

and now that you mention it, i agree with cala as well, the worm market could use some help as well.

No support.

I have nothing of worth decor-wise during September and it's usually a bomb of a month for me I struggle to roll for. Having gnaws and GMO cows exclusive to that month gives me reason to actually want to play.

These are items that I sell around April to July for a lot of GB and that GB I make typically gets me through the dry period from May thru the next September.

Gnaws and GMOs are reliably good selling and I do NOT want them sold any other time of the year. It would detrimentally harm my income personally and over-saturate the market. An item that guarantees passing a mark should be hard to come by and expensive IMO. These are both big ticket items that have major gameplay impact.

Buff balls having a bump month makes sense because the only thing they do is grant more cubs - which may be duds. Gnaws and GMOs have a much bigger effect.

CALA (#105146) makes some really solid points about Lioden's economy having nearly nothing of stable value. This game has one of the most unstable markets I've ever witnessed in any game and so much of it is because the balancing issue is hard - and when something changes even slightly, people can take advantage of it and absolutely tank market value.

I watched July's applicator value be destroyed overnight because of giving players accidental endless shards because players claimed exploring and earning was too hard. After witnessing this catastrophe play out live, I am incredibly reluctant to tip anything toward 'easier' any longer, unless that 'easier' has no economic impact on the game.

I’ve gone through and edited this to remove the EE suggestion entirely. It seemed to only be muddling the idea I was trying to put forth :) the only two options up for suggestion now are severely limited, as they should be.

Unfortunately, completing Wenet's quest granting you one per account would, at bare minimum, likely introduce at least 2,500 effortlessly gained Gnaws into the system (half of the amount of total peak players during big months these days).

Wenet's quest is effortless. It is. The market is flooded with Wenets every April. Now imagine if each of those Wenets was a Gnaw. We'd be looking at 4+ pages of Gnaws, tanking the value.

Even Hare Points are trivial to earn. I only personally buy Lambs - something which has also completely gone down in value. They used to sell for 6 to 8 GB worth a pop and now can barely crest 3 GB right now in January. But as a result, I have an overflow of HP. Wenet gives you a ton.

I can't see this ending in anything but market oversaturation and disaster.

The consequences for this will be rippling too. Easier to obtain Gnaws mean rarer marks will decrease in value as the market for them bloats.

Comparably to the EE grind, they’re limited. That’s all my edit was for. Just removing the worst.
