You slowly approach the limping hound and this appears to be the right move, for while it is wary of you, it's not trying to run away from you. You notice that its leg looks a bit swollen, perhaps a sprain?

What will you do?
A. Look around for something to help the hound.
B. Try to get the hound to lay down.
C. It'll be fine, move on.

The ones you hit with water balloons run off, oh no, seems you only irritated them. The ones who watch you look at your confidence, and some begin to laugh at you like you are a fool, while one approaches you, very, very agitated.

C. Defend what you're doing

I smile as i stand my ground, facing the irritated hound before me and ignoring the others who laugh at me as i reply loud and proud of what i'm doing.
"Heh, for a 'walking meat sack' you sure let yourself be irritated so well and as for your question, Where's the rule that says i cannot? Point it to me and i will apologize right now and go find a better creature whose no so weak to fail my tests one whose worthy of being by me and my alpha companion who awaits me back home...a beast who will gladly come down and hunt each one of you down and rip out what lil soul you may have and if not that then your very mind and body til your Nothing but a pile of meat that's impaled on his very vines, drowned in the waters he can summon or even a living plant matter as he finds a way to break your own sanity and leave you there to rot where you lay."

I speak, smiling as i toss a water balloon in my hands so casually. I was used to dealing with so large and intimidating of a creature back home. I speak again after a bit, holding the blood red colored balloon in my hands and seeing the light reflecting the liquid inside.
"He's no Hellhound but many mistake him for one which is how i began to hear so much of your kind and the interesting stories i've heard...Perhaps they're all folly and gossip afterall since i see none here willing enough. If a mere water Balloon and human gets to you then i can only imagine how poorly you'd handle other situations. Some have run showing me they're cowards, those like you who irritate so easily may not be reliable enough to handle something more serious and may allow such a temper to drive you and that may be your end. Those who laugh show me they're cocky and arrogant and may underestimate something they shouldn't.

I only see only so many whose temperaments show me otherwise a possible companion, one who could be perfect to aid me and My companion. You my friend are Not one of them...unless you or another would like to prove me wrong? Pen could easily kick all your asses with these faults and he's way more massive than you and his temper when provoked is far worse then your irritation so No, I'm not scared of you if i can face off with a beast like Penatal and not die when he's even enraged and hard to control yet i can easily subdue if need be since i've known him so well ever since i was but a small infant."

I now face the hound before me without the slightest sign of fear and so calmly hold the beast's gaze as i calmly speak, letting the balloon i hold roll to the ground towards whatever hound was closer since i gently rolled it that way. I was covered in faint scars that one could see when close enough esp on my face where a set of claws could be seen, large and deep with only two lines very widely spread apart. It revealed how massive the beast I spoke of was and though i didn't intend on mentioning Pen til later. I felt i had no choice now.

(Pfft i think i've having way to much fun and yas, A new pupper would indeed meet Pen at some point. About as soon as i got one. I was trying Not to bring him in this but Rip XD)

You traverse along the land of the cages, or as it's been talked about anyways. It certainly lives up to its name as there's more metal cages than you can count, most of which are filled with various hounds. These are all destined to be brought into the arena at some point and made to fight. A terrible sport but a favorite in the land of hell. You continue to walk around, eyeing many hounds until your eyes stumble upon two. They didn't look neglected in the slightest, perhaps they were in their peak condition. Quite the show off for an owner, and yet they were chained by one of their legs. One looked like it was a veteran in the area with the scars on its body while the other, perhaps it was still new. The hounds would be brought to the arena soon enough, seeming to be destined to fight one another. You push your way through many goblins and ghouls to be able to see the sight of the two of these strong hounds go at one another. Your eyes are filled with a mix of horror, sadness, and fascination as you watch the show go on. You dislike the fact that these hounds are put in such a situation, but look at their strong, fierce bodies go at one another with a might that is indescribable. However a sharp yelp from one of the hounds, the new one, catches your attention more. The crowd cheers and shouts at the veteran hound to kill the other, and you know what you need to do. With a slight bit of hesitation, you push your way through goblins again and jump down from the stands to the hounds, putting yourself between the two of them. This is risky of course, as the still able-bodied hound can pounce on you and cut the lights, so you quickly get to persuading the veteran hound to stop the fight. You can't tell if your words are even making a dent to the hound as its eyes are empty. What will you do now? Soon the guards rush down to get you away and the veteran hound then moves, looking and watching the guards run down one of the halls. Once they're about mid way, the veteran hound looks at you once again and trots over to the injured hound who growls at them to back away, but they don't. You think they're going to harm the hound again, but in fact they grab the hound and help it up to its feet before getting on its back. The hound then looks at you, requesting you to get on as well. The guards are getting closer so you don't have much time and you get on the foreign hounds back who quickly rushes the three of you out of the arena and far away from the land of cages. You can see now that this is only the beginning to a beautiful friendship.

Both carry the shackle of the cages!
