Hello! I haven't really been able to find anything that peeks my interest so I've decided to create my own canine roleplay. But I want to make sure there is an interest for it! Lets get into it
Basics
-- Multi-Para roleplay with a 200 word minimum. Correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation are all great things to have, but I don't expect anyone to be perfect everytime. If I can't comprehend what you're writing because of how many mistakes are in your post, you will be asked to move on.
-- Group roleplay! The plots laid out below are with a group in mind, and depending on the amount of people that respond to this, will also decide the plot! I am not looking to do 1x1s with these plots, they are not built for them
-- Canine mainly, though if there are others interested to play other animals I will keep you in mind for finalized plots and settings!
-- Lioden thread based. This is mainly because I'm on my work computer and Discord is blocked. A discord in the future may be on the table when I change jobs in September
-- Considerably simple character sheet. I understand that character sheets can be difficult, and roleplay is where people's skills truly lie, so there will be a pretty short sheet. As long as I can get a good idea of a characters personality and history and they make sense for the roleplay, I won't be too picky with characters
-- There will be a roleplay sample requirement with the character sheet, but I will give you a prompt that should be pretty easy to reply to and show off your skills!

Plot #1 Adrift 4-12 Characters
Premise
The Innsaei Pack has lived near the docks of a small seaside town for generations. Just down the beach from the docks is a forest that spans for miles, circling around the town and only being broken up by a few roads in and out of town. The pack is mostly made up of strays, with the higher ups being born into the pack. Generally, they're pretty nice to the lone dogs in the town that have decided not to join them. They police the streets and forest, just making sure no one becomes a problem enough for the humans to take notice and start collecting up the stray population and shipping them out of town, or worse. A dog (or small gang of 3) has taken residence on the docks themselves, taking to living on abandoned boats and under the docks, and being a small nuisance to the local fishers by stealing their catches when they've brought them in. Innsaei has taken to trying to stop this dog(s) but has never quite been able to catch them. That was until they had a stakeout one night and chased the dog(s) onto a boat. The boat wasn't tied well, and while the dogs were running around trying to corner and catch them, the boat drifted out to sea. Now its a challenge of surviving on a boat with very few supplies and getting back home.
This plot would need 4-12 dogs/animals, with a main brunt of that number being Innsaei dogs, and 1-4 deviant dogs. The pack dogs would be a mix of a few higher ranks, hunters, and able-bodied general pack members that would've been able to be quick, strategize, and hunt down the deviants. As mentioned, there could be 1 or a few dogs in a gang that the pack would chase onto the boat.
Setting
The boat will be a 50 foot trawler boat for reference, that's been converted into a boathouse, with some supplies in the cupboards like spices and herbs and some dried and/or canned foods. There would be pillows and blankets, and an onboard osmosis machine that converts saltwater to freshwater.
Challenges
There would be a few challenges getting the boat up and running, catching fish out at sea, dealing with the deviants and pack dogs living together, and overall working together to get back home. And of course some other challenges that the dogs can't control peppered in for some extra spice.
Plot #2 Elude 6-15 Characters
Premise
Long ago, the local strays used to fear being caught by the Dog Catcher. They typically disappeared, never to be seen or heard from again. Eventually the city grew, and the Dog Catcher had trouble catching the dogs that made the city their home. It became a game to them to tease and run from the Dog Catcher, which eventually turned into an all out game with Hunters to make the game more interesting. Since then, the city of Vicdale has become the grounds of the game Elude, with participants from all over the country coming to prove their wit. The rules of Elude are simple, avoid the Dog Catcher and Hunters for one month and win a collar with tags that would keep you from getting picked up. [This prize is not final, suggestions of something better would be great!] The city is your playing field, with few rules.
1. You can't hide out inside private/human occupied homes
2. You can only hide out in one building for one day at a time before you need to move to another
3. No killing the Hunters or other players, however you can do as much in your power to get away from them
4. If you are caught by the Dog Catcher, but get away, you lose the game
5. If you are caught by Hunters, but get away, you still have a chance of winning if you can't be caught a second time
6. No crossing the train tracks that surround the city and are deemed the out of bound lines. Crossing forfeits your participation and you can not reenter the game. (NPC guards will be posted at the tracks to warn participants that they are about to cross and prevent them from recrossing back)
Hunters are other dogs/cats where their main goal is to capture participants and get them back to their home base in the junkyard. They are noticeable by the leather harnesses they wear where they have a few supplies for capturing participants hung from. These include: knock out powder, a lasso, a net, a mask when using the knock out powder, and a set of trackers that they can attach to dogs and track ones that got away. These can have some unrealistic ways of using them, but generally the rest of the rp should be realistic and within the capabilities of the dog/cat.
Participants can use anything at their disposal to win the game as long as they can follow the rules. Teams and alliances are allowed as there can be multiple winners. There is nothing stopping participants from helping, or sabotaging, their fellow game players.
This will need a larger group, for every 2 participants I'd like 1 Hunter, but of course this number could change depending on those interested. Hunters could have been past victors, dogs that were sought out by the original team of Hunters, or dogs that showed up to help. Participants can be city dwellers, from other states, pets that decided to join, etc. If you are a participant that gets captured and lose the game, you can reapply with to be a Hunter!
Setting
Vicdale is a budding metropolitan area that is constantly under construction. The city has stopped expanding due to the train tracks, though there is talk that the tracks will be removed, or moved out to allow for more construction. The city is a 100 blocks wide in a neat little square with four roads out going over the tracks. There are two train depots, one south and one north that sit inside the tracks. The city is set up in districts, with the housing district being to the east, the skyscrapers that are springing up year by year are towards the center and spread out to the west and south of the square. The junkyard that is the Hunter's homebase is beside the north train depot and surrounded by chainlink fence with barbed wire at the top.
Challenges
The Dog Catcher will be a randomly rolled encounter when someone hits a certain point in the city or does an action that I'll be looking for. This encounter can happen anywhere, and to anyone. The Hunters are the only exception that won't be touched by a Dog Catcher roll. This is an NPC I will play, along with the guards on the tracks if someone gets too close to them. NPCs of other humans in the city that dogs might encounter are up to player discretion to play, though I will play any by request!
The Hunters are able to do anything they can to find and capture participants, but obviously trying to find them can't be automatic, and needs to be played out logically such as sniffing out one of the participants or hearing a human complain about the dog that keeps digging in her trash.
