I decided I was going to try my hand at making a base. I was inspired by the ocean once realizing there were only frozen/cold water based bases. I made eyes to match called Turquoise.

I can see this base being a craftable base. If possible, I would introduce an item/gem called Sea glass.

The genetics for this base I'm guessing would be Black Light Countershaded since it is blue like Glacial and Arctic but lighter than both, more like Snowflake.

Alternate Names:
Tide

Lightened and more saturated:

Darkened and more saturated:

Edit: I added an original and lighter version with a more visible sandy color

Nice! I would prefer the original one honestly, though.

I love the lightened and more saturated, but just an idea- maybe add a sandy colour at the paws? Like the lion is the sand meeting the sea :)

I definitely like the accenting of turquoise in the color gradient, it really gives it that more ocean-y feel. I think this would be a great base option that stands out in the current blues, and could interact really nicely with a lot of the soft pastel marks. I personally like the lighter one best, but I also like the colors in the saturated and darker ones, if one of those was chosen I'd still be excited to see this base.

i definitely prefer the more saturated versions but that's just because personally im not a fan of pale lions. im not sure about it being a black light base though? i just cant imagine this paired with any other black base in breeding producing bases like obsidian, if you get me? that's just what i see though, i love this idea!!

Okay, My over all thought. Coming back to this thread I realized there is a lack in that beautiful creamy color that cuts off at the paws, maybe it might look better with strong contrast and more cream but very blended in with the white color. Maybe have it cut off closer to the knees?

I love the coat just wish there was way more cream. because any feet markings could cover that up completely.
