The feathers will become weak and wont be able to pick up the wind if they overwork themselves. Olive isnt the best flyer to add to it so its mainly crashing into trees and coming out with a twig or two somewhere

Appearance: Opal’s REALLY fuggin tall, standing at a solid 6’3. She's very slender and lanky, and has an array of scars on her stomach and back, and there’s one long, jagged scar on her thigh. Her hair is VERY long and silky, being a dark, pitch black color that is so long it nearly reaches her waist, and Opal’s eyes are a bright, pale green color, that honestly look like they could pierce through you. She also has dark-colored freckles on her face, black-rimmed glasses and dark circles under both her eyes. In conclusion, she's gorgeous, but is pretty tall and could prooooobaaaably step on you

Backstory: Opal’s had a rough life, although she rarely talks about it. When she was 11 her brother died from Cancer, and this left Opal, her mother, her father, and her older sister, and things only got worse as life continued. Both Opal’s mother and father were killed in front of Opal when she was 14 after they were shot dead, and their death gave Opal a permanent fear of loud noises or really anything that sounds like a gunshot or looks like a gun, like fireworks. Her older sister, who had raised her since then, soon followed, dying on Opal’s birthday when Opal was turning 17, and after all that she was adopted by her best friend, Olive's family, and has lived with them since, and cares for Olive like a big sister would, despite Olive being older than her. She has gotten badly beat up before on the streets once and can be a little flinchy because of that at times, but for the most part is chill, although she dislikes taking walks alone at night

Personality: Opal’s VERY relaxed, never losing her cool, refusing to yell at anybody, and always being calm and collected. She’s very kind and considerate, and will always take the time to hear you rant if you need to do so, making it obvious that she cares about her loved ones deeply. Opal’s quite flirty and is also a little teasing and sarcastic, but she never means any harm. She’s pretty depressed with her whole backstory, although she doesn’t show it, and doesn't get that much sleep. Opal is also...REALLY smart, I'm not even kidding, she's literally a genius, but she doesn't show it very much as at times she can be a little reckless when it comes to protecting her loved ones. Opal's really goofy as well, and takes no shame in doing or saying something weird to make people laugh

Weakness: If she overwhelms herself from manipulating the earth she could faint, and has this very odd thing where if she touches gold it burns her, and therefore can't summon or touch gold without badly burning herself

Backstory:
Zélie was born in the town of Ibadan. Her family moved to the fishing village of Ilorin ,where her mother was violently killed before her eyes. Ever since, Zélie has lived in a state of perpetual fear and anger. She has trained with Mama Agba to use the staff so that she can defend herself and her family against attack. Zélie works hard to feed her family. However, she frequently ends up in trouble.
Personality:
Zélie is known as a headstrong, stubborn trouble-maker, with a quick temper and little patience. She is protective of her family and feels as if she is never doing enough to keep them safe. Because of her violent past, Zélie is mistrustful of nobles or pack leaders. Zélie slowly lets her guard down once she sees that other people truly have good intentions.
Zélie is also guided by her love for her mother and the traditions of magic and faith that bind them together, even after her mother's death.

Zélie and Amari did not start out as friends when they first met. Zélie believed that Amari was a spoiled princess who couldn't understand the struggles other faced.
