I've been talking with base breeders and I've heard a complaint the there are not much better "Special bereeding fails" to breed to - namely Rare and Uncommon bases.

I counted all Rares and Uncommons for you:

Black CS Dark : 2 (1 Rare, 1 Uncommon)
Black CS Medium: 2 (1 Rare, 1 Uncommon)
Black CS Light: 1 (1 Rare)
Black S Dark : 3 (2 Rare, 1 Uncommon)
Black S Medium: 1 (1 Rare)
Black S Light: 2 (1 Rare, 1 Uncommon)

Cream CS Dark : 1 (1 Uncommon)
Cream CS Medium: 1 (1 Rare)
Cream CS Light: 1 (1 Rare)
Cream S Dark : 1 (1 Rare)
Cream S Medium: 1 (1 Rare)
Cream S Light: 1 (1 Uncommon, not couting Teardrop because it's a combo base)

Golden CS Dark : 2 (2 Rare)
Golden CS Medium: 2 (2 Rare)
Golden CS Light: 1 (1 Rare)
Golden S Dark : 2 (1 Rare, 1 Uncommon)

As you can see there are not very much of these, with Cream being the worst genetics, having almost only one in each variant. I've heard breeders saying there are no nice bases beside all those new Special apps, all "better" U/R being as bland and boring as Commons. Most of the Rares and Uncommons are old and not very appealing, only adapted for expanded genetics system and there were only three new Rare or Uncommon base updates (Black getting Noctis, Golden getting Goridhe, Red getting Rhubarb and as always Cream getting none).
The game devs keep bombaring us with tons of new Special apps, lately many Cream in an attempt to "revive" the genetics. But PLEASE give us something cool we can actually breed. There are some great base suggestions people made, not all of them have to be Special apps, we need more better-but-not-Special genetics too!
