Shadow growled deep in faer chest, then ran to catch up with him, wolf strength lengthening faer strides. "I don't care what's safer." Faer shifted to wolf form again, allowing faer to easily keep up, thoughts flowing freely. Emiko was surrounded by warmth emanating from Shadow, wrapping him in a comforting embrace. I like you just the way you are. There's no need for you to pretend with me. Faer looked over at him, golden eyes burning. I'll never let anyone hurt you.

emiko turned and looked shadow dead in the eyes and said "your the one whos gonna need protecting...people are out to get me and you live with me so they wont stop until were both sold into slavery" emiko explained with a huff

Shadow let out a harsh growl, not directed at Emiko, but at the world. Then they'll face the teeth of a wolf. Fae held Emiko's gaze, something soft surfacing from deep inside.
