The Silver Isle has always been ruled over by sovereign kings and queens. It has a history of being a prosperous realm. It was once a major trading hub for other isles, and even imported and exported to territories on the mainland. A friendly port to all, travelers would come and go and the docks always seemed to be full of fresh, excited faces. That is, until the current king's rule spelled what seems to be disaster for the once thriving island. Over the past eight years, King Barnabas has taken a greedy hold over the kingdom's exports, causing many of the land's previous allies to turn into opponents. The strong taxes he imposed on his own townspeople have all but driven them into poverty, and a rumor has it that the king is dabbling in dealings with dark magic. Suddenly, with his ailing health, and the kingdom's equally as barren land, it is apparent that a curse has been cast over not only the king and his court, but the entire territory belonging to the Silver throne.

Setting music.
Worried hearsay began to spread like a plague, and the dogs living within the king's realm began to wake up with fear in their hearts. It is said that a vengeful witch has cursed the land with a powerful hex. Word spread that the only way to lift the curse was for the true heir to retake the kingdom for their own. However, the task may not be as straightforward as it seems. King Barnabas has a strong hold over his throne, and refuses to give it up to just any dog. Just as well, due to his disloyalty to Her Highness, the Princess Consort, he has children spanning far and wide within the confines of the isle. Now called to join the royal court, these heirs and heiresses from all walks of life must now compete for the king's favor, or remain the last one standing in this bloody battle for the throne. Who exactly is the true heir? Will peace ever truly be reestablished within the Silver Isle? It is a mystery indeed. Perhaps the land will fall into ruin under the curse long before the dispute is settled, or maybe strange allegiances will be established between the dogs of the kingdom that twist the destiny of these royal canines forever. How this story unfolds is in the unpredictable hands of time and fate.

Aloy | Mentions: Persephone (Directly) | Location: Royal Banquet Hall

She seemed startled by the princesses sudden appearance, Aloise muttered " Oh! Right away your highness,," She quickly got up as she trotted away to get a glass of water. The dame picked up a glass from another servant distributing them to the guest.

She quickly got back to the Princess, rather quickly. Aloise set down the cup infront of the dame " Here, your highness." She said as she bowed her head slightly.

Alaska|Dining hall|Mentions Hildibrender (directly)

Alaska's head wiped towards the male who spoke as her lips peeled back in a snarl How dare you think that what I said is a dog claiming to be a witch?! I over heard her and the brute talking. I know what I heard and don't you DARE imply that I am imagining it. She snarled towards the brute not careing if he was royalty or not, her teeth were bared and every word was laced with venom. She looked at him like she wanted to tear his throat out.

Demetrius|Dining hall|Mentions Alaska, Merde (directly

Demetrius rushed towards Alaska knowing the glint in her eyes and looked to Merde She'll be OK. Let me take her outside to calm down a bit Madame. So there is no need to kick the two out. Demetrius said this hushed a bit as to not make anyone else panic.

Merde | Dining Hall | Mentions: Hildibrandr, Alaska
Merde's face blanched at the mention of a witch and she made a soft 'shhh' sound. "Hush now darling, calm yourself." She looked around, eyes widening as the nearby dogs began to panic. "You don't want to cause a scene and get yourself and your sister thrown out now do you?" As Hildibrandr spoke, Merde nodded slightly, at least until Alaska snarled. "Alaska! That is enough!" She let out a furious bark, stepping between the malamute and the guard. "Unless you wish to be removed from the banquet, I suggest you keep your voice down and respect those who are of a higher rank!" Her fur was puffed up, making her appear slightly larger, and her eyes were glinting with anger. Merde turned to Demetrius, a touch of anger still on her face. "Very well. See that she is completely before she returns." She turned around to face Brann. "I apologize for interrupting Hildibrandr, I did not wish to see anyone harmed."

Shadow | Dining Hall | Mentions: Ophelia, Barnabas
Shadow followed the Princess Consort and her husband at a respectful distance as they made their way down to the banquet, breaking off to locate a glass of wine for Lady Ophelia. Once they had procured one, they returned to her side, not noticing the panic centered around a group of dogs. "Here you are my lady, I have found a glass of wine for you." They set the wine down before her and backed up a few steps, dipping their head respectfully.

Persephone | Princess | Location: Royal District - Castle
Mentions: Ambrosia, Ashlyn, Helios, Aloise[Directly] Hildibrandr, Miska, Alaska[Indirectly]

As Ambrosia greeted Helios, albeit rather halfheartedly, and asked Ashlyn for his name, Persephone was mulling over the fact it seemed her words did seem to change Helios's expression. It could have been the wine sure, but Perse was sure she saw a twitch of her lips, and Helios seemed to be such an expressionless, aloof lump of fur that Persephone was surprised to see such a thing. At least her other sister had some character. Living in this castle is going to be fun.. Persephone thought, just as that pretty maid she approached earlier came back, retrieving setting a glass of water down in front of her. " Here, your highness." The princess looked somewhat impressed by how quickly the little lady worked, taking a sip from the glass of water before she dipped her head in a respectful manner. "Why thank you, if you keep this up I might just promote you to my personal maid." Persephone hummed out to the smaller dame. Is that even a thing? Eh, these are noble dogs so thy must have their own little... servants if you will. Seems pretty fitting. Suddenly, a loud screech erupted in the hall, Persephone ignored it at first, but when the word 'witch' reached her ears her attention was instantly stolen away.

Perking up, the collie mix's mismatched eyes scoured the crowd, looking for the source. It was easy, luckily, being that the dame who was screaming her head off attracted frightened faces around her. It was a husky looking dog, looking quite frantic as words poured from her maw rapidly. There is a witch here. I over heard the dame talking to another male. Ezio was the males name I believe, the dame was Marwa. Gods, could anyone be so obvious? Any witch with a brain should at least make an attempt to keep their practices a secret. Well, at least the dame wasn't accusing her that's all that mattered. Persephone's gaze was curious as she watched the scene, her tail thumping against the ground as she watched the show. "Am I about to see a beheading today? Never knew Banquets could be this messy." Persephone said in a hushed tone, moreso to Ambrosia than anyone else, in an enthusiastic sounding voice. She didn't sound too serious or frightened though, she sounded amused if anything, which she truly was. Her attention was then drawn to a pale shepherd looking brute that forced his way through the crowd, ears pricking o catch some of the words he was growling out. She only caught a few words and phrases, the last phrase being the most exciting one, though. Something about getting kicked out? Aww.

"Ooo whose that stud over there? Seems to know how to calm things down doesn't he?" Her inquiry was directed towards both Ambrosia and Aloise as she spoke, feigning a shiver down her spine, watching as the shepherd shooed away the lingering crowd with just a single glare. She assumed Ambrosia and Aloise would know, being that they were from the castle while Helios and Ashlyn were not. Ambrosia didn't directly state she was from here, but the tiara and necklaces she wore said it all. A few moments after she spoke the same malamute dame suddenly snarled out at he brute in defiance, Persephone leaning forward excitedly. "Or not."

Sigrún | Townsfolk - Farmer | Location: Loyal District, Castle
Mentions: Theseus, Spiro, Alaska [Directly] Hildibrandr[Indirectly]

Sigrún looked disappointed at Theseus's answer to Hildibrandr's whereabouts, though she looked a little hopeful as he advised she stick around. Not like she was leaving anytime soon, the food here was delicious. She looked up at the brute who joined them as Theseus called out his name. Spiro. Eh? Did his mom try to name him Spiral but forget the word last second? "A popular king? Perhaps you should speak for yourself, beloved duke of the trading district." The implications in the last part of Theseus's sentence wasn't missed by the shepherd mix, quite obvious by how she looked between Spiro and Theseus with a confused gaze. Was there something about this Spiro that she didn't know? It was apparent by the hushed whispers and looks that came from those that heard the insult. Why wasn't she told about this secret yet!?! "What's that supposed to mean?" Sigrún questioned, looking between the two brute's suspiciously before Spiro spoke up. ”Careful now, your royal highness. You may be of noble blood, but you might lose your tongue speaking so carelessly,” Sigrún moved swiftly out of Spiro's way as he made his way closer to Theseus, the little broad noticing the slight tension in the other, albeit slight. Her head lowered, her tail slowing as she plopped herself down on her rump, just as Spiro put himself between the two.. "He was just joking Spiro, you know." She huffed out a little defensively.

"Have you met any of your siblings yet? I'd love to be introduced, I've seen them in passing, and heard some interesting chatter. Difficult to tell one from the other, though. Must be terrible to look near the same as someone else." Theseus looks like his siblings? Sigrún could only wish she looked like Bränn, that would have been so cool!
She didn't care about meeting his other siblings personally, maybe if they were like him she would. Theseus was a pretty cool noble dog or whatever you called them. Not terribly fancy and whatnot. "I bet you're the-" Sigrún could barely get her sentence out before a loud shrieking cut her off, the pale furred broad umping to her paws in response, tipped ears finally standing straight. There is a witch here! The pup's tail picked up in its wagging as she heard this, her head swiveling around quickly as if she were searching for this supposed witch. "A witch!? Where, they're so cool! You think i'd get cursed if I get too close?" Sigrún woofed, looking to Spiro and Theseus if they had an answer for her. She'd hate to be cursed like Barnabas was, but this could be her only chance to get close to a witch!

Another voice cut through the worried whispers of the crowd, this time terribly familiar to Sig. There was no doubt it was her brother, albeit sounding a little impatient. As she realized this, Sigrún said nothing to the two brutes with her before she darted away, weaving surprisingly well through the dogs in her path. Bränn came into view as she broke through the cluster of dogs, and with a gasp Sigrún darted towards him, stopping just in front of him, a huge smile cutting through her features. "Bränn!! Bränn!! It's me!! Hi! I was looking everywhere for you!" Not even a second after she spoke a snarl erupted from behind her, Sig turning to see a husky looking dame baring her teeth at Bränn. "How dare you think that what I said is a dog claiming to be a witch?! I over heard her and the brute talking. I know what I heard and don't you DARE imply that I am imagining it." Sigrún shrunk back from the dame's heated words and gaze, retreating between her brother's legs from being startled. She didn't stay back for long, however, as once Sig registered what was going on in her head she immediately jumped back out.

This time Sigrún was staring rather boldly at the angry dame, huge ears pinned back to her skull as a bark erupted from her. "Hey!! You run your big mouth like that to my brother again and you'll regret it!"

Suz was outside standing by the wolf that was apparently a witch, so what Powers do you have, she asked wide eyed and excited. Is it good? She gasped, wait ARE you good, she then stepped back, sorry sometimes I get excited.

Ophelia | Royal Consort | Castle-Dining Hall | Mentions: Barnabas, Shadow, Merde, Hildibrandr, Sigrun ( Directly) Helios, Persephone, Resone, Seth ( Indirectly)

" Darling, not all of them will be bad. I've heard through the maids and servants that... Theseus is the funny one, Helios is the quite one, Persephone is the flouncy one, Resone is the kind one and Seth, you should stay away from that one. He's as unpredictable as a thunderstorm." Ophelia woofed. Moments later, at Barnabas's second statement, she answered " But I'm supposed to worry about you. It's my job, no one else is going to do it right. You don't need to stress about a single thing, I have it covered." The aging couple neared the stairs and just as they stepped into view, she asked, " When did we get a mage? I've never seen Konstantine before. And isn't a mage by extension a witch?" Shadow, who she didn't know had been trailing them brought her a glass of red. She respectfully nodded back at them. " Thanks dear! if you would like you could go grab one for yourself? It wouldn't bother me if you left for a few moments. You always seem to be working, never taking a break. There are other guards that can take care of me and His Highness if you ever wanted a day off." Ophelia offered up.

She took a brief sip and shoot straight up and the yelling and screaming. " I'll be right back, I most go check out what the ruckus is all about." Ophelia trots over to the scene and narrows her eyes at the back of malamute like dog retreating from the hall. Hildibrandr, the gaurd, Merde and some fiesty looking white dog that could be possibly related to Hildibrandr. " What is going on here? It's a banquet, not a screaming match." Ophelia barks with a furious look.

Theseus | Prince | Location: Castle: Dining Hall.
Mentions: Sigrún, Spiro.

"Careful now, your royal highness. You may be of noble blood, but you might lose your tongue speaking so carelessly," He raised his head from the floor, gaze full of annoyance. However, his glare surprisingly didn't land on the duke. Instead, he leered in a stubborn manner towards the surrounding guests who seemed to be speaking in hushed tones and casting glances towards he and his two companions. "'Your royal highness.' Oh, don't be so stuffy. I'd rather they chop off my ears instead, maybe I'd be saved from hearing the word 'noble' again." He replied at last, his attention darting around curiously to find Spiro before he finally realized the duke had wandered over to his side. He peered past the sighthound to gaze at Sigrún who, understandably, was confused. "Don't worry about it, Sig. Dogs with too much time on their paws like to blab a bunch of hearsay, it's how they choose to ignore their own shortcomings. Thinkin' over it too much would drive you mad." He said, rather loudly so that the nosy onlookers could hear. He ended his rant with a disdainful sniff. Returning his gaze back towards Spiro, he tilted his head at the dog's question. "Have you met any of your siblings yet? I'd love to be introduced. I've seen them in passing, and heard some interesting chatter. Difficult to tell one from the other, though. Must be terrible to look near the same as someone else."

"Haven't talked to many of 'em myself. Only caught a glimpse of the old wind-bag's legitimate kids for a second yesterday when I arrived." He said with a soft laugh, "He wouldn't let me speak to 'em, must've been afraid I'd offend them in some way." The chuckle followed through to end this rambling as well. A scream caused his ears to perk up. "What do you suppose is going on over there?" He murmured, his head whirling around as Sigrún spat out something about witches. Only a moment later something seemed to catch her attention and she darted off. The large shepherd mix stepped forwards as if to follow, "Woah there, Sig! Wait-" Theseus called after her, concern in his voice. It was too late, however. The slippery little dame had disappeared into the crowded room and he was left standing beside the duke. He could hear her shouting something across the room and only caught the word 'Bränn' briefly. "Ah- She must've spotted her brother. Good on her." He said with a sigh and plopped back onto his haunches, relief washing over him.

Hildibrandr | Royal Guard | Location: Castle: Dining Hall.
Mentions: Ophelia, Sigrún, Alaska, Merde, Demetrius (Directly.) Hagrid, Marcel (Indirectly.)

"How dare you think that what I said is a dog claiming to be a witch?! I over heard her and the brute talking. I know what I heard and don't you DARE imply that I am imagining it." When had he ever implied that she was imagining things? His face scrunched in annoyance, gaze narrowing at the malice in her voice. He didn't retort, however. Being a castle guard meant that he had gotten begrudgingly used to this kind of thing. There's no point in arguing with a dog who won't listen to reason. He huffed quietly at the thought, ears perking forwards as Merde spoke up. As the short-statured duchess attempted to calm the strange lass down, Hildibrandr took a polite step backwards. "I apologize for interrupting Hildibrandr, I did not wish to see anyone harmed." He dipped his head slightly in a respectful manner. "No, thank you. I had the same intentions, I'm not keen on sitting back and watching a witch hunt take place during a banquet of this size."

"Bränn!! Bränn!! It's me!! Hi! I was looking everywhere for you!" As the pup slid to a stop in front of him, a smile formed on his features for a mere second before dissolving away. Ah- this situation. He could only hope that Sigrún hadn't heard the rampant guest's words. "Hey!! You run your big mouth like that to my brother again and you'll regret it!" A heavy sigh escaped his mouth. He stepped forward and placed a paw in front of the youngster, sliding her back away from Alaska. "Sig-" He began, only to be cut off by the dame's shouted insult. As the second dog piped up a leer formed on his face. "I am handling this kid. Remove your self-" The rude tone in this dog's voice caused his fur to prickle, only because it was directed towards his sister. Before he would say anything they had already turned to leave, stomping out through the main entrance. He watched them for some time before turning a stern gaze towards the lass at his paws. "Sigrún! You need to learn how to pick your battles, spitfire. What if they had decided to take this further? Did you plan on fighting them?" He scolded. Only moments later his expression softened and he nudged her away from the crowd with his muzzle. He wasn't mad at her, he couldn't be mad at her. In all honesty, he had found her brave outburst pretty funny. Not that he could admit to that in this situation. "Come with me, I ran into Marcelia and Hagrid earlier. Let's go see if we can find them-" He muttered with a chuckle.

"What is going on here? It's a banquet, not a screaming match." His ears pinned back at the familiar voice and he turned to face the princess consort. His expression seemed to change many times, unsure of how exactly he wanted to address her. "My apologies, your royal highness. I'll see to it that it doesn't happen again." His voice wasn't particularly friendly, nor was it callous. He made no effort to bow to the lady. She was an extension of the king, and some part of Bränn's heart loathed her. In the same breath, she wasn't Barnabas, and so he had no real reason to resent her. He took in a breath, realizing only now that he had subconsciously blocked her sight from reaching his sister. Glancing up, he noticed that the king had also made an appearance in the hall. It was then that he dipped his head in a rather rushed manner and hurried Sigrún away, fearful that Barnabas may catch a glimpse of her.

Alaska| Outside>>>Dining hall|Mentions Ophelia and Barnabas (directly) Demetrius (indirectly)
After she calmedand talked to Demetrius a bit she pawed back into the Dining hall walking towards Ophelia and Barnabas. She stopped about a foot away bowing her head to the two and spoke up. Your highnesses, she began I'm sorry about the commotion that happened. I came in screaming cause I found, she lowered her voice before saying what came next a witch in the kingdom. Your knight was just doing his job and I snapped at him in anger along with his sister. Ophelia | Dining Hall | Mentions: Alaska ( Directly). Hildibrandr, Sigrún, Barnabas (Indirectly)

The merle collie's eyes narrowed in interest at Hildibrandr's sudden disappearance. The dog he was with, seemed to be important. She was a cute little thing. Probably not much older the 10 months at the latest. She should probably look into that, but not to much. The dog was probably not much more then a cousin or friend of his. Ophelia let out an almost relaxed sigh as the air began to clear and the other canines faded away. She walked back over to Barnabas and took another sip before being interrupted once more. Your Highnesses the Malamute that she had seen being escorted out earlier had returned. A witch? Unusual but people said that all the time. It was probably just some commoner nonsense. A rumour started to gain attention. " A witch you say? Dearie, if you ever do believe that there is a witch or any other canine of the extent. Don't go screaming around like that. It disrupts everyone else and causes a panic. You go to one of the guards or if the situation calls for it, His Highness Barnabas or me." Ophelia coaxed. Her slender head turn toward Hildibrandr, he was on the far corner of the hall. She couldn't see the white dog anymore. Maybe they had left or gone to a different part of the castle. When the Malamute spoke again, this time on a more interesting topic, Ophelia lowered herself down to the canines level and said. " His sister. The knights sister was a white dog? Where did you hear that from? And do make sure it doesn't happen again, if anyone heard about it. Well you know what would happen. Every single canine in this room would be in uproar. Dogs could die, or be injured in the proceeding chaos. And if what you say turned out to be fake, you would be charged with disruption of the peace and injuring other canines. Not something that you ever people to whisper about behind your back."

Ambrosia | Princess | Castle - Banquet hall | Mentions: Persephone, Ashlyn [directly] Hildibrandr, Barnabas [indirectly]

“Ashlyn, Your Majesty. S-sorry-“ Ambrosia chuckled gently, letting her tail wag behind her. "No worries, dear Ashlyn. I know crowds of unfamiliars can be rather daunting." She glanced over at the sudden commotion in the hall, brow cocking curiously. However, she looked away once she'd gotten a hold of what was happening. It wasn't of much interest to her. "That's a lovely name. Ashlyn... Yes, it's rather charming, really. Suits you." She smiled kindly to the lanky wolf, before Persephone caught her attention again. "Ooo whose that stud over there? Seems to know how to calm things down doesn't he?" She let her eyes flicker back to the commotion, catching on to vaguely familiar figure. "Hildibrandr. A guard, and as far as I'm aware, he is here only to pay some sort of... debt, to his Majesty, Barnabas." Her father's name rolled off of her tongue like flavorless oil. She didn't sound disgusted, or hateful, just more or less bland. "I don't know him well. Our king does not encourage fraternizing with him." Well, he didn't exactly encourage fraternizing with bony wolves, yet here she was. Funny how things worked out really. "Ashlyn, darling? What do you do for a living? Unless you would prefer not to say, of course. I would never force you into doing something." Her focus finally returned to her anxious counterpart, warm tone and soft smile returning.

Roland | Traveler | Castle - Banquet Hall | Mentions: Rye, Resone [directly]

"Nothing more than a dog? Dogs are quite magnificent in their own right. I find you quite dazzling, equal or not." Roland blinked at that sentiment, considering it carefully for a moment. He let his eyes drop to his paws for a mere few heartbeats when he was able to thoroughly process what the golden-furred dog had said. Interesting.. His gaze returned to the second dog once more, letting the same neutral expression return to his face and voice, just as before. "My apologies if I'm interrupting your conversation. I don't know anyone here, which makes it quite uncomfortable to attempt to speak with people. I will leave if you'd rather." He blinked, glancing over at his other company. He didn't seem to hold any annoyed feelings towards the dog- not very surprising- so he figured he should try not to seem terribly bothered. "No, you may stay. I was simply surprised." He gave the dog a simple look-over. He was good-looking, in his own rights, but the red prince had seen so many collies today that he simply didn't stand out to him. Black and white, just like the rest of the uninteresting crowd. "What are your names? I'd be interested to learn such a crucial factor of the identities of the dogs I am speaking with." Ugh, word vomit. I really do sound like a prince when I talk like that, don't I?

Resone | Dining Hall | Mentions: Rye, Roland
"No, you may stay. I was simply surprised." Resone's expression lightened, and he sat back on his haunches, smiling softly at the flowery language the other had used. "I am Resone. It is lovely to meet both of you gentlemen, and I hope we can become close." He dipped his head to both of them, the silver chain around his neck falling forward and gleaming in the candlelight. As he straightened again, one of the flowers fell out of Rye's fur. "Oh no! Would you allow me to fix that for you?"
