CLOSED INDEFINITELY
Rehomed lions: 146 Current Capacity: Adult Males: 1/1 Lionesses: 5/8 Adolescents & Cubs: 3/60 The crashing of water greets your ears as you push through the jungle, following a river to its source. Your trek is rewarded by the sight of a magnificent clearing. Lions play in a pool fed by a waterfall that cascades down a cliff. An older lioness - she seems to be the oldest, from what you can see - perks up at your presence. She is covered in scars, and cubs bound at her feet. She has a humble murex wrapping, and walks with a permanent hobble.  "Greetings!" she says, "Welcome to Dagadan. I am Siltral, one of the pride's elders. Please, follow me." She leads you to the cliff-face, clambering up a path carved into the stone and beaten down by lion paws. The path leads towards to waterfall, and spray hits you in the face as you dip into a gap between rock and water. You discover there is a cave hidden behind the waterfall. More lions gather here, and they watch you curiously. Siltral guides you to a smaller cave, with flowers decorating the outside. Inside, there are mostly cubs and adolescents, with a few lions as well. "Welcome to the adoption cave," Siltral says, "I was lucky enough to find a forever pride, and I hope that these lions will find one too. We can't keep them here, and most of them are excited to find a new home. Please, talk with a few of them, see if one of them can join your pride." Siltral pauses, "Please only take them if you intend to give them a new home. Don't if you only plan to send them to the nature reserve, chase them, or - " she shudders, "- Tefnut forgive, kill them." "If you have a pride member looking for a new home, you can send them here too. We can't guarantee to keep them forever, but I know how hard it can be to find a forever pride, and it can be easier when there's a dedicated place. We can't promise to take all of them either - please ask before sending them to me - after all, we only have so much space. Maybe one of them will find there forever home here. If not, they'll be available to other kings like you." Welcome to the Dagadan Adoption Centre! Please follow these rules: Adoption Cave is here! The amount of lions is dizzying. Sensing your bewilderment, Siltral beckons a few over with a flick of her tail. "These lions are the most urgent cases," Siltral explains, "or they're just eager. Consider this a highlight section. All lions in this cave are up for adoption, but these are quick access. The lions in this group rotate every few days, unless their case is very urgent." Disclaimer: Lions do not come with a pose unless otherwise stated. Images are clickable. There's no one here right now! Just are you are about to choose a lion, a sub-male stumbles into the cave and makes a beeline for you.  "Eiresti!" Siltral scolds. Eiresti hastily dips his head in apology, and turns his attention back to you. "I'm sorry if I'm intruding," he says, "but I just had to ask. When we take care of these lions, we feed them, amuse them - no one goes unsatisfied in the Dagadan pride. If you have something spare to donate - a carcass, a gem, a feather, it would be greatly appreciated. Everything we don't use will be sold to fund territory expansion, and increase the centre's capacity." "I want to emphasise that this is entirely optional. These lions are, and always will be, free. No grudges if you don't. We aren't that kind of pride." Eiresti bows, "I hope you find a new pride member. These lions deserve the best, and I do hope to see you again." He steps aside, and goes to play with the cubs in the den. Siltral watches him go fondly. "Everything is completely free," she emphasises, "money isn't our priority. But enough from me. Kovukazi stepped in through the den entrance, looking around at the small lions and lionesses who were in need of homes. The felis king glanced to a special one that caught his eye, as the king started to smile with affection. He stepped forward to Larethian, greeting the lioness before turning to the elder. Strawberry nods and happily lept up and left before returning hours later with the cubs and their mothers to show to the elder lioness. Their eyes soft with joy as they set them down, "These are some of our more recent young. They're quite promising.. Most of them have gone unnamed as their mothers haven't decided upon a name for them yet." the strawberry lion explained as the mothers gently nudged their cubs to help introduce them to the elderly lioness. Kotallo dragged his heir Drellingr into the Adoption Cave, his submales Thor and .Hermóðr trailing behind. "This is why we take good care of our females, and even the young males born unto our females." He gives a shallow bow to the Elder Siltral, then shoves his Heir's head down as well. "Manners, cub." Drellingr bows, but his wide eyes stay glued to the scars along the Elder's body. Rather impressed the lioness has so many, given he's only managed to earn 2 little ones. Kotallo takes a look around, then turns to the Elder, "We have some females who feel the itch to wander to new prides. Might there be room here to stay until they find a King who satisfies their wanderlust? They will come fully fed and amused. " He glances over, snagging Drellingr by the end of his tail. "We are not here to adopt, cub. Do not let a female in heat make your gaze wander." He growls softly. Drellingr bows his head and mumbles "Sorry. She's really pretty...." He gazes longingly but takes his place behind and to Kotallo's right. Hermóðr grumbles "Should just chase them away if they don't appreciate all we provide for them." Thor rolls his eyes and flops down to observe the scrambling cubs. Drellingr sticks his tongue out at Hermóðr behind his back, while Kotallo merely ignores the submale. "Please feel free to reach out if you have space, otherwise we will do our best to find them prides ourselves. Thank you for your time." He turns, ushering his males out, and gives one last bow to the Elder before loping off. Malakite looks over the cliff-sides harsh drop catching sight of a colorful young cub "Elder Siltral, could you introduce me to that cub over yonder" he motions with his intense stare towards a cub named Aranor, unbeknownst to him. "I'm searching for a young cub to house. I want the little ones to have a place they can call home and a pride they may call family" he strikes the elder with a charming grin while using his body language as a cue to close in on the small cub 0 players like this post! Zodiac archer cousin of Eurio is on his way to visit his cousin to discuss a project trust Eurio wants to work on. On his way he stumbles across a cave where a bunch on lions are looking for a new home! After having a chat with all of the lions, his eye caught a few however he is terrible with names! He speaks to the owner of the lions and sees if he can introduce them to his pride. The following lions that caught is eye are: - markingless lions (RMA project), they said they would love a makeover! - treacle, he said he would love Cubs one day but need to change genders as he feels he’s not king material due to not being good with the ladies! - Now he understands that he can’t take them all so he asks the owner to surprise him and he promises he will take good care of them! 0 players like this post! Khannt pads over to the adoption cave searching for a small lioness cub. His mates have their eyes searching for a cub with the following traits: Lazy, Maltese, and with Brown Eyes... Khannt sighs... Such needy mates but he would gladly do whatever he can to make them all happy! He continues searching and talking with the lions, lionesses, and the cubs. Until he sees a cub off in the distance. Wait. Is that?? Can it be??!! The cub he has been searching for?! She matches the description - perfectly! Khannt practically races over to Siltral. "May I claim the cub named Halhad? Yuki, an old broodmother who came to visit on behalf of the King. She’s keen on finding new cubs that could take over her role. Yuki scans the area before turning back to the elder Siltral. She dipped her head in respect to the elder before speaking. “Greetings, elder Siltral. I have came on behalf of my king, to look for more promising young ones to add to the pride.” She gently pads over to Galthir, who was playing with Sarsantyr. Yuki turns back to Siltral and nods. “These two are the ones that caught my eyes. Are they interested in joining? Also my king has informed me to send those food and toy bundles to you, since he understands how difficult it can be to keep them happy and well fed.” 0 players like this post! Like? |
