Community Update


Aside from monthly event news posts and the 2nd Friday of each month being focused on art/coding updates, all other Fridays are centered around the community!

Event Adjustments


* The cost of steps in Celestial Explore has been reduced from 5 Meteorite Shards per step to 2 Meteorite Shards per step.
* There is now a higher chance of finding Meteorite Shards whilst exploring than other July event encounters (Apedemak vs Apollyon, finding Menhit, etc.).
* We have added a second poll to the Polls page asking how we should adjust the Celestial Explore enemies, so please be sure to vote on which adjustment you'd prefer.

Tefnut's Memories Reminder


Tefnut's Memories (aka Tefnut's Temple) is still part of the July event and will show up on the Event tab starting on July 2nd. It still has the same mechanics to open (donating items and/or SB) and still contains all items as it did previously. The items that you can purchase once the shop is open can be viewed on the Lioden Wiki here: https://www.lioden.wiki/july#tefnuts_memories

Begging and the Giving Tree


It seems that parts of the community have some confusion and uncertainty where they believe that players asking for Giving Tree drops in Main Chat falls under begging. To help clear up some confusion, we would like to formally announce to everyone that we do not consider players asking for Giving Tree drops as them begging for assets. When currency, items, and lions are left to the Giving Tree, everyone has an equal chance to pick these assets up—there is no guarantee that a player who asks for GB or cubs to be dropped to the Giving Tree will pick up these assets from the Giving Tree. To give benefit of doubt, some players may even ask for others to drop assets in order to spur a "Tree Drop" that they would also participate in.

We will not moderate players asking for Giving Tree drops unless they are excessively demanding Giving Tree drops, or otherwise breaking our rules regarding begging, e.g. saying something along the lines of, "Does anyone have any spare GB I could have? Can you drop it at the tree?" or "Can I have your unwanted adolescents? I'll take them from the tree too!"

We hope this helps alleviate confusion moving forward! If you happen to see our staff team punishing players for asking for Giving Tree drops, please PM a site admin (a list can be found at the bottom of our Contact Us page) or use the Contact Us form to email our Support Team, but keep in mind that punishments are not always visible and there may be additional context to the situation that normal players do not have.

This is the step to the right direction, and I'm happy the devs fixed some major issues!

I would rather have both aspects of fights be completely removed, but if we HAVE to keep one of the two, id rather have the damage significantly toned down, and have stun be much rarer, not impossible, just rare enough where it doesn't become too frustrating

glad that meteor shards have been slightly reworked but...good lord that poll for removing only ONE of the abilities from the celestial encounters? really? having both's already unbalanced but making it just 1 isn't any better because they're still extremely overpowered. my 1k stat king barely puts a dent in boss encounters, and i bet people still using their starter kings are having an even worse time just getting axiom cores from lucky encounters.

I don't think stats really matter when it comes to these fights, and tho even though they should, I think it's to both balance it out for new and veteran players, and probably because coding the fights to fit with your kings stats would be hard, but I don't know

Doesn't distract from the fact that the fights ARE still broken, and I hope that they end up removing, if not at least tweaking the fights so you have a better chance at winning than losing

I'd bargain that the majority of people would be more than happy to have these changes with the fights. no one's against not changing them, so why do that?

I've been exploring in the celestial thing for about an hour and a half now, and I do have a concern - while I LOVE the ease of obtaining Cores, I've gained over 200 in that time and I have double the shards that I started with. I've been almost entirely avoiding battles, too (I stopped about an hour ago with those) so I'm only gaining Cores from the regular celestial encounters.

Like I said, while I'm really enjoying the ease of obtaining Cores, I feel like this is going to drive the value of all of the stuff in the DDE severely.

IMHO I think this update made things even more unbalanced. Many of us in chat have noted having either a complete lack of shards in regular explore, or else a constant increase in shards that never runs out in Celestial Explore...while enemies seem even more difficult than before, to the point where it's more "fun" to just spam the explore button for cores instead of bother with fighting (unless it's for an event quest), because otherwise the relative ratio of frustration to accomplishment verges on burnout on Day 1...plus the immediate devaluation of all bases in the shop because it's /too/ easy to get cores now.

I think decreasing enemy difficulty might be more effective at balancing this event than the adjustments to shard spawn rates or explore costs.

PLEASE change it back to how it was! It's WAY too easy now and I'm already burnt out on this event before the end of day one.

Keep it how it was - balanced.

Genuine question, why do you care if it's too easy now?

I personally like it, exploring place is fun and I much rather prefer doing that than my only method of getting cores is by fighting

It lets players be able to get what they want, why does that bother you so much?

The only negative thing I can think of is "oh im already burned out"; which you can just, not explore then? It's not like you're forced to explore and push all your shards away

Also, the abundance of cores makes it so people can buy the bases easily, making market prices go down, and unless you're a hoarder and only get them to make profit, it's no big deal, honestly I think it's better since people actually can get what they want, as opposed as last year

But that's just my opinion

I do appreciate reducing the amount of Shards that are used per step, but is there any way to refund the people the difference that they lost? As an avid player for this month, I am very disappointed that I used 800-ish Shards already, just for a high amount of them to basically be used for nothing at this point.
