Related Thirst Bar Bugs - 2 separate encounters with incorrect calculations

Encounter 1:
I have twice had an encounter where I come across a waterhole with a bunch of animals gossiping. I have a choice to hunt or drink. When I choose drink, one of the effects is "Your thirst bar is fully restored!" - My thirst stayed at 100% the first time I did it, the second time it went from 0% to 100%

Encounter 2:
I met a lion at a waterhole with green foliage and he thought there was a crocodile there. The choice is to Roar or Check the Water. When I Check the Water, the effect says "-70% thirst" but my thirst bar did not change immediately the first time, and the second time (a couple encounters after Encounter 1 listed above) it did not change at all from 100% thirst.

It seems like after the Encounter 1, my thirst bar is unchanging regardless of the encounter, as if it thinks my thirst is 0% but the graphic shows 100%

Encounter 1:
Went to the waterhole with the gossiping animals. Decided to drink and got the message "thirst bar is fully restored" but my thirst didn't go down.

Encounter 2:
Met lion at waterhole and peered into the water. Collected a crocodile and "-30% thirst" but again my thirst didn't go down.

Water item:
Used a aloe leaf message said -5% thirst but stayed 100% thirsty still.

Encounter 3:
Waited behind an elephant for a drink. The message said "-100% thirst" and again I'm still at full thirst level.

ate a water root at 100% thirst

message saying thirst went down by 100%

thirst bar says 25%

Can agree that I'm also getting this bug. I had the encounter with the lion at the crocodile pond and the gossiping animal pond and my lion is still at 100% thirst.

I'm going to be checking on my main if some of the old encounters are doing this too. I think I only ran into new ones on this account, all of which did nothing for my thirst bar.

Alright, since we know this isn't working anymore I decided to take better notes while walking around on my main. Here's what I discovered;

* Encounter with the cows at the waterhole, where you get a drowned cow carcass and -30% thirst did nothing. I believe I did get the carcass, though.
* Hunting at the gossip pond says -25% thirst but did nothing.
* Digging at the dried out waterhole did nothing even though it says -10% thirst.
* Ran into the crocodile pond again and got a fish, but still no thirst depletion despite it saying -70% thirst.
** Growling at the humans filling bowls of water with a water spout DID give the -30% thirst depletion it said it was supposed to. This is an older encounter, so it seems to be working.
** Drinking at the manmade waterhole that makes you feel uneasy also works and gave -20% thirst.

TL;DR: Old encounters from this event from the past seem to be working as intended. Newer ones are broken and don't give thirst but I believe they still give the items they claim to give. Also water-giving herbs are broken.

Ate an African Cucumber and it worked.
Ate an Aloe Leaf and it worked.
Ate a Water Root and it worked for me, but I was at 90% Thirst by then thanks to the Cucumber and Aloe.
I didn't have a Stripped Cacti to test.

Not sure why the Water Root worked for me and not others!

encounter 1:
encountered water hole in Explore. Chose drink. Game declares my thirst fully restored, thirst is still at 100%

i attempt to fight an enemy, am told i cannot do so while thirsty.

encounter 2:
Ate African cucumber. Game declares -5% thirst. Still shows 100% thirst.

EDIT: AS of an explore encounter it finally went to 0% but nothing else was effecting it before hand

I also had this bug. Used a few Striped Cacti and an Aloe, and my bar didn't go down at all. Used a Water Root, and it went down to 65%. Used a second water root, and it is finally at 0%.

Before this, I encountered a few water events that didn't move it at all, either.

I am currently experiencing this bug on both my main and side account. None of the items affect my thirst level except the water root. For explore events, it seems to vary (except when the encounter is designed to make you more thirsty, then they work)

Thirst bar was working as intended until I cam across an encounter to fight humans putting out a fire. At the time my third bar was somewhere around 60%. It failed the combat automatically and my third bar went back up to 100% when I tried to fight.

Afterwards no events or items will lower my thirst.

Having the same bug; encountered at least three water events that did nothing to lower it, and ate several striped cactuses, and a water root, and nothing has happened.

Having the same issue. Used a three African cucumber and my thirst bar didn't move.

Edit: I'm dumb, lol. Forgot which way the bar goes, 0% is what you want. Wasted some water items.

Reporting the same issue.

I used 3 energy bars and had many encounters with water event and my thirst bar is still at 100%. I tried to use Aloe Leaf and unfortunatly same income.

I want to specify that I saved my exp. I was at 900% and I thought it would be it. Then I lvl up and for 1 lvl it went down to 594%?

Hopefully they will find the cause of it soon enough.

EDIT: Everything work perfectly now :)

As of 6:30 PM LD, the encounters appear to be working for me. I ran into the gossip pool again, drank, and got my thirst fully quenched to 0%.

If people are still having the bug, it seems to be only effecting some people sometimes.

Same issue as everyone else. Occasionally the thirst bar won't decrease when I drink or increase in the fire explore encounter. I'm just glad it only happens sometimes
