Lava Pool

Baby hatchlings bought from THIS THREAD may be brought here to be aged up. Doing this may result in the occasional new marking or horn/claw variations, but there is a cost. You may sacrifice 1gb OR 500sb to the volcano to age your hatchling up.

Reflective Glass

Among the fire and heat, some sand has melted and become an oddly reflective new creation. Stare at your warped reflection and perhaps you'll notice something new?




Miola Fruit
Price: 100sb
Each fruit adds two (2) extra spins to all eggs in any breeding clutch.* These can be stacked up to 5.
*Spins determine what and how many markings a bred baby will have. Each gets 3 spins naturally, so the possibility of up to 3 markings. The item must be used on the breeding pair before/during breeding, not after the nest or eggs already exists.


Delka Fruit
Price: 500sb
One fruit applied at or before breeding will ensure you get at least 3 eggs from said breeding. These do not stack.


Hot Coals
Price: 400sb
One Hot Coals applied to a built nest will warm the eggs so quickly that they hatch that same day. A nest must already be applied.


Sapphire Butterfly
Price: 100sb per egg
The Sapphire Butterfly is smart and can examine and identify the rarity of any egg: Rare, Mythic or Common. This can hint what sort of markings you may be getting from the breeding, if any. (Note: Submission and Fail markings do not count towards any rarity rank and will be ignored while examining)



Random Marking Token
Price: 1000sb OR 1gb
The Random Marking Token can be used on a dragon of any age. It will apply one (1) surprise Submission Marking to the selected dragon in a random color variant. Multiple Random Marking Tokens can be used on the same dragon.

Breeding

Any person (or two people for a split breeding) may volunteer their ADULT dragon(s) for breeding. Breeding has a chance of passing on any colors or markings* and has the chance of giving up to four (4) eggs of varying rarity.

Breeding requires a 50sb fee per dragon being bred (so if it was one person breeding two dragons, thats 100sb. If its two people with a dragon each, that's 50sb apiece). You will immediately get the colors and number of the eggs, but will not know where they rank, its hard to tell on your own! Anyone hoping to keep the egg(s) will need to build nests for them consisting of 10 Like Herbs Per Egg (so ten herbs of the same name, not mixed). If you do not wish to keep any eggs, they will go into the sales nests.

Eggs will hatch 1 IRL day after nesting. The dividing of the eggs is up to the owners of both parents to decide.

*Unique Markings will not be inherited, but can pass "Unique Fails" that come in two different tiers: Rank 1 is rare, but more likely, and Rank 2 is very slim chance. There is always the possibility with any Breeding that your egg could hatch and the hatchling holds no markings. Common X Common breeding has a slim chance of producing a rare marking.

How does it work?
I take into account the makings and rarity in each parent and add them into a percentage based randomizer wheel. Rare markings have more chance to pass than Mythic, no markings has higher chance than Rare, and New Markings (held by neither parent) is a very slim but present chance. The coloring of both parents comes into play too, and the number of eggs is also randomized—I am choosing nothing. Each baby gets three spins of the wheel to decide markings.

Can I up my chances of better markings/colors?
Yes, breed two dragons with the markings/colors you want. Its that simple! If you don't have a good pair, ask someone else if they want to split a breeding!

What happens to unwanted eggs?
They go to the appropriate sale nest to be available for purchase. As all bred eggs are have determined babies before they hatch, this means you could potentially buy very hard-to-get markings, even Submission or Unique Fail markings if someone passes on an egg holding such a baby!

Marking Tokens
Each Token represents a Submission Marking which can be bought and applied to any dragon you own. 1 Token = 1 Time Marking Application. Each Token has 1 use. Tokens can be used on a dragon of ANY age, hatchling or adult. PLEASE NOTE: ALL TOKENS CAN BE USED IN TWO (2) FORMS: BASIC OR INVERTED COLOR. IF NONE IS SPECIFIED UPON USE, I WILL ASSUME BASIC UNLESS ONE BLENDS WITH ANOTHER, IN WHICH CASE I MAY INVERT SOME. ANY SUBMISSION MARKINGS MAY PASS RANDOMLY AS EITHER BASIC OR INVERTED.
