Thanks so much for that comment! I did get my behavior changed and I don't lash out at him anymore, the reason I got therapy was that I didn't want to grow up filled with resentment for my dad, or worse any male or masculine figures. like how my dad hates feminine figures. again, my dad was abused as a child, so I don't think he knows how to be a dad or be supportive in any way, because support and love weren't shown to him as a kid by his own mother, this does not make me feel any better towards the things he's said to me and my sisters though, or the fact that he prefers to wallow in his own hatred then get help. currently, I'm glad to be leaving him, especially since I don't think he'll ever change his ways, he sees 'getting help' as a weakness and people trying to change your mind on what's correct. I don't care if he wants to do his own thing, but he's hurting everyone around him, and he'd much rather continue doing it than realize he's a bad person and change his behavior. 0 players like this post!
