More accurate to have it as 2023 as I'll really start looking next week. I'll post if I find anything and how big the antler or antlers are.

Most mature bucks are starting to shed their antlers now, and I want to find a set or at least one from a big buck that lives around my neighborhood. Just so I know he's still alive and isn't in deer heaven/ on someone's living room wall.

It's normal to lose antlers and bucks will regrow them bigger next year. The little spikes may be 4, 6 or small 8 pointers. 8 pointers may be 10 or larger.

The bucks I want to find antlers from are:

1 1/2 year old 3 point. He's technically a spike, but there is a small tine near the tip that's big enough to be considered a 3 point.

Small 8 point. He has a nice set of antlers for being so young, I think he's about 2 or so.

Big 8 point. Dad saw him, not sure if he's still around though.

10 point. The buck I call Big Boy is at least a 10 this year, and my parents saw him sparring with the small 8 pointer. So I want his antlers for sure. Mostly to see if I already have one from him when he was a year old.

14 point is wishful thinking. He isn't around my neighborhood, so I seriously doubt I'll find his. I also doubt he's among the living. But I want his antlers.
