Puawai persisted to utter incoherent sentences in an attempt to remain calm, her upper arms pressed against the surface of her broad chest. After a while of assuring herself that she'd be fine, Puawai resumed what she was trying to do: berry-picking. Elderberries and Cloudberries in particular were one of her favorites. Letting out a soft sigh, she picked up a small hop and began her search for any berry bushes. As always, they remained wary and alert of their surroundings as they ventured deeper into the depths of the woodlands.

Her eyes happened to flutter open a few times as Mystique hurriedly ran to go fetch something to treat her and her wounds, although it proved to be no easy feat to even try t keep her eyes open, no matter how short the amount of time was that she tried to pry them awake.

Every single time her attempts appeared to be futile, and with each passing second, she became even more worried that she would not even be able to properly thank nor see the face of the person that had tried to save her, only lay in a poo of her own blood as she pitifully and sickly tussled around like a fish fresh out of water.

She had never been one to look her age, she was always much smaller than the rest, although she would never lag behind. Now, as she lay bleeding out, unable to even keep her eyes open or think about anything else besides the pain, how she would die, and how absolutely depressing a death like this would have been, she wished that she was then same size as the rest, even bigger, so that way she wouldn’t have had to work twice as harder as the rest all her life, maybe that way she wouldn’t have been where she was now.

Regardless of the emotions she felt, Thallo managed to utter a strained two words, all before she finally passed out— a quiet, and hoarse, ‘Thank you,’ before her eyelids closed, and her breaths became more rapid and painful.

Cursed lands— cursed maulers! Thalias’s tail flickered as a bright-red heat cold be seen illuminating the path she ran on, as three level-two creatures, what Thalia and a few others called ‘Maulers,’ were directly behind her, running as fast, or perhaps twice as fast as she was.

The only way she had been able to make it as far as she had, away from the ruins where she could find no trace of anyone else in her group, was the fact that she had been quick, quite, and stealthy on her feet— up until a mauler came out of seemingly nowhere and gave her the surprise of her life, making her let out a scream that altered two other near-by Maulers, as well.

Luckily enough, she had been smart enough to scream and run at the same time, knowing that her fire would not work on their bodies; they were immune to it. As she ran, she wondered about a few other things besides how fast she was going to die and she wished that she could give them a few scars before she went down, perhaps chipping their fangs as they big into her— she wondered about what happened to the rest of her friends, there had been about five of them, three others besides Thalia herself, and her close friend Thallo, the two had known each other for a year as they ran into each other perhaps a year ago.,

Thalia could admit that she didn’t like newcomers, so it did take a while, 6 months, exactly, for her to even warm up to the idea of having someone else join their group, as there had already been two other people she was traveling with at the time, of which one has now passed away, and another took his place.

She huffed in annoyance as she thought of the past, knowing that it would in no way help her in the situation she was in now, realizing that the small gap between her and the maulers wasn’t going to grow bigger anytime soon, and that it actually appeared to be growing smaller and smaller every second, no matter how hard nor fast she ran.

˳✧༚ Wanted to say that making characters that were in Thallo and Thalia’s group is okay with me, and I would prefer it over having to be all the characters myself, lol. In case anybody wants to create a character relating to them, that’s perfectly fine with me! Just know that the group starter out as only Thalia and two other people, before one was killed off, although the other is still alive and part of the group as of the present-day in the role play. As well, Thalia and one other person ended up joining their group around the same time (a few months apart) although Thalia would ever really grow fond of Thallo, and the two animals arrived shortly before one of the group members was killed off, the one from earlier. I’ll write more about the timeline in Thalia’s description, not Thallo’s, as she had been around much more longer than Thallo had. :) ˳✧༚

Mystique flattened her ears back, still trying to bandage the lynx's wounds, she didn't want to have her die, even though they were a complete stranger. And the blood would most likely lure other creatures, and she didn't want the cat inside the den to get injured.

The tiger parted his massive jaws in a yawn, walking through the destroyed town boredly, having no interest whatsoever in anything around. He had fixated on the scent of meat, and was walking towards the smell, his tufted tail flicking against the rubble.

Riot flicked an ear, his focus shifting to whoever made the sound. The large tiger gave a quiet growl, stalking over to where Apollo was.

The tiger slinked past the fallen buildings, watching Apollo carefully, his blue eyes glinting in the light. It was clear to see him, as his white pelt shone quite visibly.
