New Skins!Today, we're releasing a set of new noses/skins, inspired by the Blue and Eggshell suggestions. Thank you, Vera (#158086)!
We have implemented a new kind of skin: breed only! April 15th Edit: We misunderstood the feature and unintentionally released incorrect information within the news. The following information is correct in how breed only skins work. These breed only skins will have a 7% chance at appearing on a cub when bred from a parent with the skin's associated base. Skins will still operate as normal and have their default assignments (e.g. Water Hyacinth being tied to Dusky skin, Interstellar being tied to Black skin, etc.), but cubs bred from parents with certain bases will now have that additional 7% chance to roll a breed only skin that matches the parent's base. For example, let's pair an Interstellar-based king with White skin to a Jet-based lioness with Dusky skin. They produce a Jet-based cub. The cub has an 80% chance to inherit Black skin (the default skin for Jet), a 10% chance for White skin (the father's skin), a 10% chance for Dusky skin (the mother's skin)... and then finally, the cub will roll an additional 7% chance to get the Echo breed only skin, which originates from Interstellar parents. Bunting: can be produced from Champagne, Citrine, Goldenrod, and Sulphur Echo: can be produced from Interstellar Eggshell Blue: can be produced from Haliotis Ink: can be produced from Noctis and Styx Lilac: can be produced from Glass, Kunzite, and Protea Plum: can be produced from Prismatic and Water Hyacinth Quail: can be produced from Buttercream, Pearl, Qahir, and Teardrop Sandstone: can be produced from Arabica, Buff, Cameo, and Flaxen Welsummer: can be produced from Anjeer, Sapela, Sepia, and Shedua

New Combo Mane Colour!
The Serruria mane colour is now possible to obtain while breeding for a Serruria base! To refresh your memory on how combo mane colours work... When breeding Serruria factors together, you have a chance of spawning a Serruria-based cub. When a Serruria-based cub is produced, there is a 50% chance that the cub will also pop up with a matching Serruria mane colour! This is the only way to produce this mane colour without at least one parent having it. If a lion already has the mane colour and wants to breed, there's a normal mane colour passing chance, so you can pass the beautiful Serruria mane colour onto any future cubs. The cubs do not need to have the matching Serruria base in order to pass the Serruria mane colour. Already having the mane colour itself is enough to potentially pass it onto future offspring!

I am thrilled and still pretty shocked y'all added NINE of them! The incorporation of the dark/purple skins really took me by pleasant surprise. Thank you so much for taking them and adapting them, it really boosts the variety in skins for RLs, projects, etc. and I can't wait to see how people use them. I'm so happy to see a combo mane :0 Serruria ftw. Also REALLY thrilled about BO quail flecks, you have no idea  The new decor and especially the backgrounds look really great! Also have to commend some different materials being used in crafting. Really nice to see another use for clover. Overall just a banger of an update. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'm a little disappointed about how the Azalea base and mane both require Four Leaf Clovers. Not only the Clovers are only available once a year, but there was also downtime (Which I'm not mad about, it happens!) that effected people from getting Clovers (Especially for people who work overnights in the Western Hemisphere, or for people in general in the Eastern Hemisphere). I know the point of the Four Leaf Clovers is for St. Patrick's, but it is extremely disappointing that there is a new base and mane to be crafted, but with no crafting materials to be able to make it. The only solution to be able to craft these now is to either buy more Clovers (Which people are understandably more stingy about for their own crafting), or to wait almost a whole year to get some more again. Also, I feel like the rewards system for Whack-a-Snake should be scaled down a bit, or there should be some other solution implemented (This thread is a great example on some solutions.) so people are able to get rewards a bit easier in WAS. It takes 400-499 points for even the chance to get a decor. Personally, to get a score that high, it usually takes me 15-30 minutes of game-play to even get that chance. Not to mention the dreadful 1,000+ score that barely any people get, so there's not to many of the WAS exclusive backgrounds cycling around the website to buy anyway. I just feel like it would be beneficial to either scale down the rewards system or implement a score multiplier. To be honest, I LOVE a lot of these Whack-a-Snake decors and backgrounds, but I'm very discouraged that I'll even be able to get them. With having a full time job and other things to do on Lioden, I don't have time to make multiple attempts at grinding for a background or decor. I hope there will be some changes in the making for Whack-a-Snake, it would be such a shame to see a lot of this beautiful art go to waste because it's so hard to obtain. Once again though, thanks for all the new BO-skins! I'm sure a lot of BO-breeders (such as myself) are thrilled to see these! 3 players like this post! I love the new BO skins! Like a few other users mentioned, I am a little disappointed with Whack-A-Snake right now. It takes me 15+ minutes to get a score of 300-400ish, only to get a measly prize like 10-20 SB or something worth around that amount for 15+ minutes of my time. I can't even imagine having to sit there and play this game for an hour or so just to get a score of 1,000+ for one of the backgrounds. I'm glad that we get more things to craft with four leaf clovers, but I'm almost disappointed that it was implemented the same year as a 3+ hour downtime on the ONLY day you can find clovers in the whole year. I know downtimes happen, but it's still disappointing, nonetheless. I almost wish we were "reimbursed" for this downtime, ESPECIALLY now that there are new craftable items with four leaf clovers. I barely managed to get any four leaf clovers because I work overnights; I feel like people who live in the eastern hemisphere or people who work overnights/have an odd schedule in the western hemisphere missed out. I barely got any four leaf clovers this year myself because of this downtime. I personally feel like the four leaf clover requirement on these craftable items should be changed to a different craftable item (like a feather? stone? gem? etc) OR introduce an uncommon explore encounter exclusive to a specific month where you get four leaf clover(s) from. 4 players like this post!
