What gameplay feature is this bug affecting?

What's the issue? Please include any error messages you receive and as much detail as possible.
i was transferred a lionness with two nursing cubs (one is now dead oops) and they were all in some sort of strange limbo for a while. the lionness appeared to still be in the original owner's cave and posession, while the cubs were in my unsorted and owned by me- however, i could not interact with any of them, other than edit them. i edited cave settings of the linked cub, and then it showed the cub in the og owner's cave but in my ownership (which it still does). also, none of the lions were to be found in my unsorted.

the owner tried retransferring the lionness and she and the other dead cub returned to normal, however the cub barnabas was still in the same state. after rollover today i was able to play with it but its nowhere to be seen in my caves or unsorted.

the og owner said they sent the lioness and cubs close to or at rollover so that might be it

Please provide us with step by step explanation how this bug happened so we can attempt to replicate it. If it's complex, please include screenshots where possible:
- get transferred a lionness with nursing cubs at rollover
- go to unsorted, they're not there
- go to cub page through ro summary and it says its in unsorted and in my pride but nowhere to be seen
- change cave settings, cave is changed to original owner's cave (that it used to be in) regardless of what option i pick
- get retransferred the lionness and cubs, lionness and one cub is there but other is still nowhere to be seen
