Hi! So I've been trying to unlock this place all day, finally got the rubble removed. Talked to Bast, talked to birb, birb told me to go get him some essence. I got it (5) for him. And I think I broke it? Or it was always broken. Unsure about that part. On my way back to the Shrine I noticed that I forgot to grab a Bast quest. So I grabbed one before going back into the lil Shrine. It's the Slithering Minions one, if that is relevant. After that, I visit the Shrine to take care of the other quest I have just finished but it looks like it's broken.
No option to progress or do anything and it just says /5 on the counter :(

"You have currently collected /5 essence. "

Get rid of rubble > Do what prompted to do > Gather 5 essence after talking to Horus > Grab bast Quest on the way back before turning the Horus essence in > Horus quest broken
