This account was made recently, and I have yet to get a sense for these things. (Also, decisions are hard.)

A while ago, I ended up with this lion from a bundle of cubs, and I quite like them, but I've been debating on whether it's worth it to sex-change them. At this point, if I don't use the lion as an heir, I'll almost certainly do that (and maybe add some decor to go all in on theming them around the character they're named for and her eponymous show).

If I do use them, though, I'll want to start patrolling as soon as possible for the stats, which will make it impossible to sex-change them if I change my mind on that, so I've been feeling torn. If I end up kinging them, I'll definitely mess around with the opacities and use a base changer, though I'm not sure which yet. I'm considering Wepwawet/Inpu from this month (though I'd save either applicator until I actually retired my king, as a precaution).

If I made them an heir, they'd be between 10y1mo and 11y1mo when they were promoted, which... isn't that far above 9 years.

I also have a (2M) May groupie from V'Kai (link) who has been patrolling since I got him—he was my first male, and an exclusive base+eye color at a time I didn't have the beetles to consider sex-changing him to breed that base—and is exactly 3 years and six months older than the prospective heir above. I'm not sure if I'd keep the current king's appearance or switch to his. (I don't have many markings on my king yet, I've been gradually trying to figure out how to customize him, which is not true for the groupie; on the other hand, it'd mean I could actually breed the exclusive base he has...).

Alternatively, I could just... wait, then look for a younger lion to succeed my current one, which likely would be young enough that they wouldn't get aged down when I promoted them.
