Exactly what the caption says. Offspring of a Lion/Tigon breeding in real life are called Li-Tigons. Since I know that realism is valued in mutations, I'd like to suggest that all non 1st gen gons be called LiTigons instead of Tigons...because technically they're LiTigons. If you wanna get real wild, you can keep adding another Li every generation 🤣 but just in general...since non 1st gen DIDN'T come from a Tiger/Lion breeding. They came from a Tigon/Liger breeding. So they're LiTigons. And I know the admins have stressed how they actually go towards realism with the mutations. So why not keep with the realism and properly name non-1st gens to what they actually are? Sorry if any of this reads weird, I can't move my cursor around or backspace or else the forums bug out, lol. Also - 'it would be hell to code'...unless Lioden's coding is a trashfire mayhem beast, it shouldn't be. It's an aesthetic change, it doesn't mess with genetics or anything else. It would be like fixing a typo. |

I doubt it would be hard to code but it is very unnecessary. We have Tigon (First Generation) and Tigon. I don't see why it should be changed to Tigon and LiTigon. Sure it make be accurate but it would be hell. I can see people labeling trades as 'Tigon for sell' and it is a 'LiTigon'. I think Tigon and Tigon (First Gen) is perfectly fine. It doesn't really look aesthetic either imo. 2 players like this post! Like? |

it is not simply “hard to code” to rename things flippantly. the code of this site is likely not stored in a massive google doc (at least, i hope it’s not). there are likely MANY different files that they would have to go through to rename something. if the coder were to miss even ONE instance of the word “tigon” it could break things, especially if the code uses to word “tigon” as a variable or something similar. also , if you were to accidentally mass replace the word “tigon” with “li-tigon” more than once on the same document, you’d accidentally end up with “li-li-tigon”. it’s an easy mistake to make. no support. i have no problem renaming things if there is a reason to do so. but changing names for no reason at all is a waste of the developer’s time and could potentially break certain parts of the game accidentally. 0 players like this post!
