It's easier to sell mass food to the monkey business, and the Carrion Shop costs SB so people also would rather get SB for their food instead of nothing!

Food pit sucks every year, but the admins might unlock it a few days before the event ends.

Yeah I asked what happens if we don't fill it in the main chat earlier and someone said they just usually don't open it and haven't done that for the past few years...it's really just not fair

People need their food for their lions or to sell, after tier 1 opens there’s no real reason to keep donating for the bulk of people. People play this event for giant torts, lion meat and primal mod, which are all in tier 1

In past years we definitely got to tier 3 (or it got unlocked manually), since I can remember feeding 60% hunger each day for at least a few days. Last year I don't remember it unlocking, but copies of the tier 3 boneyard items released last year exist in game so... maybe they did unlock it??

I dont think there's new Boneyard items this year, so they might not unlock it
The previous years we had less SB items variety in the other shop. Now with so many applicators added in SB shop (the previous storyline rewards were added there to be bought), people need every carcass to sell for SB, so few people donate only carcasses that cant be sold to the monkey, like I only donate the african walking catfishes that cant be sold

This actually does sound like a really bad design flaw indeed. I don't have the most impressive studs on lionesses for breeding, selling chased females is really random, so selling hunted carcasses in my only steady income I have.

The interface to donate food is also very flawed - it's time consuming, takes a lot of effort, is potentially triggering to people with photosensitivites, etc. If donating was easier and took less effort, you'd probably see more donations too.

Urgh, I hope we can at least get it to 40%. I have to go through and feed all my lions before I can breed them, which is annoying on a phone.
