The orator smiled as Viper made a show of her flames and scorpion tail, which got the crowd excited, and even the current Emperor, a Shadow dragon, was intrigued, having never seen a SandWing before. "And now, her first opponent is another foreign dragon. A well-known terror in the arena, she has been waiting for a new challenge to grace upon her crown. She is the one and only Spythalia of Argonast!" The orator said as a muscular dragoness of the Primal Earth species, built like a Amazonian warrior and an Olympian combined, with gold and black scales arranged like a tiger, was led into the arena. The Emperor, a Shadow Dragon with black scales and a navy blue underside, clad in many royal adornments, nodded in agreement with the matchup of the two dragonelles, seeing that both were evenly matched in strength and unpredictability. "Orator Servillius, leave the colosseum floor, and allow the two dragonelles choose their weapons!" The Emperor declared. The orator obeyed the Emperor, and a few apprentice gladiators came out and presented several different melee and ranged weapons for the two drakkas to use. Viper watched Spythalia take two magical bracelets for her wings and talons, and Viper grabbed a dagger, knowing that was all she would need to win. Spythalia gazed at her scorpion like tail, and being the seasoned gladiator that she was, recognized it to be trouble as she began to come up with a plan. If I'm going to win this, the first thing I need to do is to disable that tail. Could be venomous... if I run some scratches along the back of that tail head, it should make it painful for her to try and strike with it...
