The she cat grumbled as she walked past Freya her catnip still tightly clenched in her jaws. She was very unamused by the rouge and now just really wanted to go home. She was really regretting her decision of coming her by herself. She could have at least asked someone to come anyone really. She sighed deeply her eyes darting towards the way of camp as she let out a deep sigh wondering if the kittypets were still there.

The average-sized stocky she-cat’s dull amber and cobalt blue eyes observed the healer intently; the unfamiliar feline merely stood there as if suddenly lost in thought, and this appeared to leisurely cause the rouge to become faintly intrigued. "Ha, did the forest cat forget how to return, or are you perhaps afraid the upwalkers will show up with their dogs and capture you?" Freya ultimately inquired in a contemptuous tone, her voice remaining somewhat hushed as it was followed by a slight snicker.

The she cat gave a deep glare to the rouge as her head turned back. She growled as her tail lashed behind her, good much better to leave this rouge here, Froststar or Riverstrike, great Starclan someone else could deal with this rouge. She was never big on talking or giving any arguments since she never really worried about it. She let the warriors handle the arguing and bickering, so they could deal with her. She began moving towards the direction of the western part of the territory for the sake of gathering more herbs she knew she needed that she didn't get a chance to collect them with Froststar.

The average-sized stocky she-cat’s dull amber and cobalt blue eyes remained fixed on the healer, observing as she redirected herself and began approaching the western area of the thick redwood forest, causing the rouge to subconsciously incline her head. "Hm, you sure are rather foolish for such a cautious forest cat; isn’t your group aware that the upwalkers take their dogs to hunt in the western territory at this time of year?" Freya ultimately inquired; however, her previous amusement seemed to abruptly vanish as it was replaced by the original monotonous tone.

Her huff was obvious." We've been here long enough yes but I ensure you they've never spotted me because I'm not going too terribly far into that part of the territory." She stated as she began walking a little faster from Freya, she wasn't trying to get away from her or anything, it was mostly because she wanted to hurry up because she assumed if she was out much longer her absence would be noticed, and she didn't want to risk upsetting Froststar by going back to the southern part of the territory and then to the western with the rouge around her. She didn't think Froststar or Riverstrike would mind the rouge especially if she wanted to join the clan, and she didn't mind either but there was a part of her that felt like Badgerpaw, due to her own father leaving her and her mother for "freedom". She growled softly but put her nice face back on as she remembered she was around a rouge that had no part in her past.

Salmonleap smiled warmly at Dewleaf’s comment, looking down at her pregnant belly. She still had a tendency to forget she was a Queen now, and being in the comforting familiarity of the Warrior’s Den it had yet again slipped her mind. “That’s true,” she replied, feeling a little self conscious about the amount of attention on her these days. She was so happy to be bringing life to the next generation of Fernclan, and finally felt like she was providing something of true value, but the pressure was almost unbearable at times. “It can be so overwhelming though…I’ve never really done this before, and I haven’t been around many Queens either. I hardly know what to expect!” she meowed, appreciating Dewleaf’s company more than she realized she would. “It gets pretty lonely in the nursery too, I’m excited to have some company when the kits are born. I can’t wait to see what they’ll look like, and who they’ll grow up to be.”

She placed a paw on her stomach, thoughts beginning to race at all the possibilities, good and bad. “I just hope I do right by them…and that they’re healthy. I’m trying to enjoy the process but I wish I could just see into the future and know it’ll all work out alright.”

Aldergrove gave a nod in response to Riverstrike’s request, they had no qualms doing as she said and spending some time with Badgerpaw. While they often felt uncomfortable with one-on-one time with others, Badgerpaw was the most relatable cat they knew and they didn’t think it’d be too painfully awkward. Badgerpaw seemed like a cat that enjoyed a good bit of solitude and exploration, and Aldergrove was very appreciative of that. They rose to their paws, shaking off a bit of the residual stress from all the social interaction and minor chaos earlier.

Setting off towards the entrance they glanced back at Badgerpaw to make sure he was in tow, listening to his offer thoughtfully. “We can,” they confirmed, feeling a nostalgic twinge in their gut. They missed the days of being an eager-to-learn apprentice, always willing to try something new and improve their skills. It was nice to be in proximity to a young cat, to know Badgerpaw had so much potential for a long and happy life. They hoped he could use the tragedy of his past to move forward into something he was truly happy with, despite the odds, unlike Aldergrove who felt like they let their history enable them to recede into themselves and let their life just pass them by. As they got a bit lost in thought they realized they should probably say more and focus on the task at hand, “Attempting things you hate because you recognize the value of the skill is a trait of a good warrior.”

As they exited the camp and stepped into the thick forest Aldergrove felt a sense of peace settle over them. The fog was beginning to dissipate but wisps of haze still swirled around their paws as they ambled along. Ferns curled around them, damp with dew and humidity as the sound of birds chirped and flittered above. There wasn’t a thing in the world Aldergrove loved more than listening to the thrums of the forest, and they found themselves quite excited to visit the stream, it had been a long while since they’d last hunted in that area.

The average-sized stocky she-cat subconsciously inclined her head leisurely once again, primarily maintaining her previous stance prior to accustomedly attempting to cause dismay and torment the unfamiliar feline, stealthy approaching the unexpecting healer and obligating herself to bump into the female, presumably anticipating for the forest cat to leap due to being startled. "Ha, let’s hope you’re as tough as others say; otherwise, you’ll possibly end up merely losing an ear; however, that’s if you’re lucky." Freya muttered in a contemptuous tone, her voice becoming fairly eerie due to the current volume.

The she cat hissed jumping slightly." Don't you have anything better to do than bother me?" she growled as she reached the western part of the territory. Her tail lashed behind her, normally she would still be calm and collected but she was just down right annoyed. She had wanted to go back to camp, talk with Froststar, the tom always calmed her oddly enough, he was a wonderful leader and a wonderful friend. She sighed deeply as she began looking around for the poppyseeds. Her eyes shifted towards the plants around as she was looking for her poppyseeds.

"Hm, actually.. not at all; for now you’ll be stuck with me, plus it’s always entertaining to torment a forest cat occasionally." The silky, long-coated feline ultimately responded with a faint chuckle composed primarily of amusement rather than malicious intent.

The she cat sighed deeply." Then can we at least make small talk instead of you tormenting me? It would be much more preferable." she stated as she set down her catnip to pick the poppyseeds. She began to sniff each one she picked to ensure that they are ready and good poppyseeds for her to use later on. She picked a few off that were too old, leaving the young ones on the bush still. She began to pick off the ones she could use and set them beside the catnip, her eyes occasionally looked at Freya before back at the poppyseeds.

Dewleaf listened quietly to Salmonleap, the she-cat was going to make a lovely mother. “I don’t know too much myself, but if I can be of any help don’t hesitate to ask.” She could only imagine how difficult things would get in the coming moons, and she was more than willing to help. The Warrior was silent for a moment, thinking about Salmonleap’s final comment. “We can’t control what happens in the future, but be we can control what we do and think now. I believe you’re already proving to be a good mother by worrying; all good mothers worry.” She replied with a purr. Dewleaf wasn’t the best at making others feel better, but she was trying.

Badgerpaw | Fernclan Camp —> Western Fernclan Territory | Aldergrove

Badgerpaw quickly followed after the older tom, excitement building up inside of him. He had almost completely forgotten about the Kittypets; he was ready for an adventure. He took a deep breath in and sighed happily. Nothing could beat the fresh, crisp air of the forest. Badgerpaw smiled, acknowledging Aldergrove’s comment. That was his goal. He wanted to be the best Warrior Fernclan had seen; he wanted to be able to protect them all. “I wonder if there will be any toads by the stream. I want to try my paw in catching one again.” Badgerpaw mumbled aloud, turning to the direction of the stream. He wanted to just sprint off, feel the brisk forest air against his fur as he flew through the forest. However, he had to stay professional. Badgerpaw looked up at Aldergrove, waiting for them to lead the way.

The silky, long-coated feline ultimately responded in a monotonous manner prior to utilizing a single paw to eliminate a pair of poppy seeds from the bunch.

The medicine cat couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle." Sure, perhaps I will provide some prey or something next time." she stated rolling her eyes more in a playful manner this time. She had softened maybe just a little now as she began to relax more and more now that the fear of a dog or twoleg coming to snatch her. She thought about asking the she cat if she had a reason for being here, Perhaps she wanted to join the clan? Or maybe she was just wandering around because she could. She wasn't going to bring it up unless the rouge mentioned it.
