So I joined Lioden in October 2023, so one of my first events I experiences was the holiday event, I was wondering about all the... shit...? What's the lore/inspiration behind the elephants burying other animals and their own babies in the poo? I was kind of curious if this was like, based on some bizarre real world elephant behavior I had never heard about but I can't seem to find anything online regarding elephant infanticide in nature, it seems exceptionally rare. Mostly just shooting the shit, looking to just chatter abt the game! I thought it was funny as hell but it just puzzled me the entire month more than anything. I believe the elephants burying their calves is kind of a joke based on the fact that when you dig through it in the explore encounter (year round) you are able to unbury a number of different things - craftables, usually, but you can also unbury elephant calf carcasses x) 1 player likes this post! Honestly I think the whole “poop” humor is really disgusting and immature, id go as far as to call it fetishy. It’s disgusting and some of them are on-par with the February mating encounters in terms of disgustingness. It’s December. The month of hope, kin, joy, snow, and winter as a whole. And they decided to go with… shit? Completely ruined the december event for me Yeah I know its not that deep but its freakin nasty lets be real here 0 players like this post! Like? |

Eh I don't care that much. I wanted to know if there was some fucked up thing in nature it was referencing. I don't mean to be rude but, I'm not much of a pearl-clutcher when it comes to gross or adult content in video games. I don't believe in stigmatizing nature such as sex. The art in the Feb event was not graphic, personally this month's art is more disturbing to me but I have no complaining to do about it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I don’t consider myself a pearl-clutcher, although I do admit I feel stronger about it then most people. I also agree on destigmatizing natural stuff like mating, but shit pools and animals burying each other in shit isn’t really natural. I agree with the other commentor that the elephant scene is a reference to digging up elephant calves, but everything else is just “ha ha shit” unless we are missing something the admins have not told us. Its not just that its unnecessarily disgusting, it’s also a wasted opportunity imo. 0 players like this post! Like? |
