Everybody has heard the story of players accidentally skipping over the Mukumbero encounter or perhaps in August skipping over the mysterious stranger and missing the chance of Solaris. Whether this is from being too excited and clicking rapidly or another reason. I have pretty twitchy hands, so one click can frequently turn into multiple on accident if my thumb decides to spasm.

Now to the proposal of this suggestion. I propose that the Mukumbero encounter becomes unskippable, such as the boss fights in the July event. I would also like the same grace extended to the mysterious stranger in August due to the rarity of the encounter. Those are the two encounters I remember that give items that need player interaction and are rare enough to be considered for this.

This is mainly to help the disabled players (Such as those with unsteady/jerky hands) who may do multiple steps in one click on accident so they don't get penalized. A feature like this could benefit everyone outside those players as well.

This suggestion has 89 supports and 2 NO supports.

I support this, i also have twitchy hands! I almost missed the muk last year from a combo of twitching and the image not loading, i think low-chance encounters that result in good items should definitely be unskipable imo, great suggestion!!

I'm not sure if I would personally prefer that it just automatically gives an item without a button press rather than being actually unskippable, but in the end, the result isn't that different.

When I saw this suggestion, my gut reaction was no? Because if you can't miss the encounter, that could mean more muks and g2 feruses in the market, and that could be "not great."

But really, it's so rare already that I'm not sure what difference it would actually make. It's myyyy fourth March? Third with two accounts. And I've NEVER gotten the encounter. Plus, I recognize the brutality of skipping the encounter on accident, especially if you can't control it. I zone out during exploring and miss encounters I care about, and I get mad enough about that.

So essentially, I support, lol.

I agree with leon - it'd be great if it just automatically given the item, without having to press the button, like the Interstellar App is just added to your inventory if you find it in July. Why having to click, if the encounter is so rare, why not just award the item immediately? Its not like having to click it is what's keeping it rare, its the overall rarity of the encounter.

To piggy back on Leon's response: yeah tbh the encounters are so rare that whether it's unskippable or just automatically gives the item, it wouldn't make much of a difference to the market. So many people just AREN'T getting the encounter in the first place, even with two accounts, they are that rare. So having it just give the item when it pops up, or making it unskippable, really isn't bad to have.

Supported.

It would be nice for the Muk encounter to give it automatically, but I believe the Solaris encounter has other items you can receive. So that encounter possibly would have to be the only one really interacted with?

However, yeah. My thoughts are that it's so rare that the items are so rare (and the encounters for them) already that making the encounters unskippable will barely do anything except make it more fair for the disabled players to be able to get these items naturally without having to trade.

Maybe Solaris encounter could give a Mysterious Stranger Package, that you can open and get one of the possible items? Then the encounter doesnt have to pull it in-explore. It could be untradeable, like some of the items given out on special occasions; so you'd have to open it yourself, and then work with what you get.

I've been playing forever, and I haven't gotten the Mukombero either. I know I was around when it was first released, and nada. I haven't even gotten the Solaris app.

Sometimes I do over click, or click fast to get past some encounters this month (like the rhino or elephant one). I can't really blame twitchy fingers, just super fast clicky ones ^^;

Either way I support.

Mostly spitballing here, and this may not even be possible, but to add to this suggestion, what if there was a (toggleable) skip prevention for all explore encounters? Toggled off by default, but if toggled on, all encounters (defined as any explore step that has a clickable button option, so it would include battle encounters and such) would be given an additional, differently-colored button option or clickable text below the rest of the options to "ignore and continue exploring" while the regular explore paw would grey out. The additional button would function as the explore paw to move away from that encounter, but requires the user to move their mouse to keep exploring instead of potentially accidentally skipping something by double-clicking or having shaky hands or whatnot.

***if toggled off (which it would be by default), explore would not function any differently from how it currently does and anyone who doesn't have issues with accidentally skipping encounters would be able to explore as per usual.
