For the most part, every explore encounter in Lioden is able to be ignored. The only exceptions I can think of are the initial tutorial battle and tutorial lioness claim, but there may be a couple event-related ones, particularly in July (though I cannot remember if it allows you to press the explore button at all with those).

Some encounters have "ignore" as simple text within the encounter, such as this one:




But there are also a couple encounters that have an actual Ignore button:








If the point of including actual clickable options is for the addition of flavor text, can we get something less BLAND? We're not gaining anything by clicking on it and reading it - in fact, the effort of moving one's mouse or finger to a location other than the explore button itself puts us at a net loss here. Especially since, for these two encounters anyway, the only reason someone would move to click anything is to get a desirable 'reward', whatever it may be.

For the monkey encounter here, you can Roar for a bit of Impression, or you can choose to Rest for some energy. And for the lone cub, you can Kill it to initiate a battle with a lioness or Frolic to get a chance to claim one instead. Ignore gives you nothing, making it completely pointless to be there.

That's fair! :) I don't think better flavor text is really enough to make it worth actually clicking more than once, though, so perhaps they could plop some other kind of rewards in there? Ignore the monkey and find a rock or something, or ignore the cub and find a bit of SB? Could be randomized as well.

Admittedly I don't often fully read explore text because I'm a primarily mobile player, so it's a bit too tiny for me to bother with sometimes! ^^

i enjoy reading the texts! i feel more submerged in my queens mindset and what decisions she would make in my headcanons, but of course im definitely focused on roleplay more than some players, so my way of playing will be different than others.

i do think the randomized rewards are a neat idea, though. it would definitely encourage more clicks and give the button a bigger role; especially if said rewards could be little craftable items

or you could change some of them for another new button, like in cub.
Instead of ignoring, another button could appear to gain some karma or something, like pushing it making it give you negative karma without getting into a fight or something

or if you have positive karma, greet the puppy or something that gives you good karma, if you have bad karma, what I said before and if it is neutral, another action but I can't think of which one.
