Anyone who is regularly in main chat has come across venting in main before, it can really drag someone’s mood down when all you wanted to do was talk in a lion game. These vents often include incredibly triggering topics, and I’ve seen some that really drag me down. I know of several others that are also made highly uncomfortable by venting in main chat. To stop this, I suggest that you be able to flag messages and get them taken down if the messages are venting. If someone repeatedly does it, they should get a warning by mods. This would fall under the “ignoring mod requests” rule. Yes, it’s okay to vent, but it’s better to do it privately rather than in a public chat with people who didn’t consent to being vented to. For example, instead of venting in chat, you could say, “is there anyone I could PM? I wanna vent” or something like that. Complaining is okay, by venting I mean bringing sensitive IRL topics into main chat. If no support, please tell me why, I’d like to improve this suggestion as much as I can! |

Anything that may not seem "serious" in this topic can and WILL make people relapse. I didn't even live fully what a lot of youth from our generation has, hell, i even got an apology, but even if *I* were to talk about it, no matter how minor it is of an issue on the grand scale, it WILL make people re-live their trauma. even just SAYING THE WORD, can make someone relapse. Banning entirely 'venting' in chat would be the best outcome (not to confuse "venting" with "ranting", again) 1 player likes this post! Like? |

Ok thank you for the comments and sharing. I mean i dont have much else to say other than all the comments back where not needed. I've already explained my situation and expressed why I vent. Never did I said I should be allowed vent due to my situation, never have I said venting is OK I said personally I don't mind it if it's saving someone in that moment or place but the comment about me think only of myself wasn't kind. I literally came to express what I felt and how I feel about people venting. Also to say I have to think of other people when I've literally agreed with the generals of what was said but also just expressed why I don't mind people venting. No harm to poster but this situation the thread of comments directed at me is not what I came here for at all. So I will be blocking this as I really don't want to see people just aiming stuff at me when I didn't agree fully on something, but did support. Have a great day or night. 0 players like this post! im really split about this. on the one hand i support this (and went with it) but on the other hand im not and heres why. i understand if people find some stuff uncomftable (keep in mind ive not seen venting in main before) but someone might be desperatly wanting to vent. i do see where youre coming from but the text is usually limited to 150 words. i think they should have a little section called vent. i think ive spent to much time on discord but this is my thoughs on it edit- i didnt see the mod reply oops 0 players like this post! @ 𝔇𝔞𝔟𝔦|decor collector (#393310) A vent section won't help much. one of the rules of the site is to avoid trigger topics. With so many folks playing it'll be similar to that of a landmind. That and there's already not enough mods to successfully watch over main chat enough. Any venting area would need a mod 24/7 because things could easily get out of control due to the nature. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Ah ok. I've seen and caught the tail end of too many conflicts in main chat to begin to count. Most of them a mod didn't show up in time to play ref. A vent section would either be hardly used or like the Jerry Springer show. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I am ngl y'all, aren't the forums an infinitely better place for venting? You can choose to look at the topic, there's a title, and there's also a 18+ area perfect for a lot of those kinds of subjects. I think a vent chat is kind of a mistake because due to the fact that chat moves faster than forums, it can get out of hand very fast, from personal experience modding social groups forums are way easier.
