Helloooooooooo :3

I have a new breeding project I'd like to try and I'm seeking advice!

I have multiple lions with both Bushveld Rosette[slot3] & Bushveld Soft Rosette[slot 7]. I have lions with Bushveld Heavy Rosette & Bushveld Shaded Rosette. I want to try to breed a cub with all four rosettes present & thankfully each rosette is in a different slot [slots 8 & 9]. I know there are lions in the TC with upwards of five rosettes at once, and I also know that the specifications - "conditions" for rosettes have not been specified.

I want to use crunchies/buff scrotes/GOPs on the mother & gnawrocks on one of my king's rosette slots, but other than that, how is it possible to get so many rosettes onto one cub?
I'm aware they can be applied with RMAs but not interested in using those, the odds are too low for me to spend GB on marking removers.
Seeking advice from those of you who have multi-rosette lions - I've heard rumors to breed at night as well, but I've heard too many things and would love to know if anyone has gotten further in figuring out how this look can be replicated.

my king's genetics for reference.

this is a mockup of the intended look. :p just want a long term project to focus on, so any help about rosettes appreciated!

If you're wanting to breed all four onto one cub, you're going to have a hell of a bad time. You'll have to gnaw two and cross your fingers that the other two pass on the same cub - the odds of that are extremely, horrifically slim.

Been breeding rosettes a long time, helping a friend with a similar project trying to get a single extra rosette to pass, not even two - it's miserable!

Good luck!

thank you for the response!
my plan was to use a crunchy worm & buff scrote on my two lionesses that have two rosettes, and to use a gnawrock on a stud with the third. then once i have one with three rosettes from that breeding (who knows how long/how many heats that will take), to repeat this process until the fourth appears. i assumed this would be a huge pain in the ass & impossible without breeding items, so i'm thinking i'll have to stock up on buff scrotes & crunchy worms.

is this similar to how you guys are approaching the extra rosette? i swear i hear rumors about rosette breeding that i dont think are true, but ever since they dropped the leopard's tail item last year i'm reminded how we dont really know what the conditions are still

Crunchies overwrite the cub AFTER it is generated with other items. So gnawrocks would be wasted on that cub if you do get a clone. I'd skip crunchies entirely unless your goal is more exact copies of your girls, because that's all they'll give you.

Extra rosettes are only random and sometimes inherited with a very low chance pass rate. It's honestly just really expensive because it's a numbers game. You could breed it first try, of it could take a thousand tries.

i did some scrying stone tests and realized that regular rosettes are passing easier than the soft or heavy or shaded rosettes, so i have decided to leave slot 3 on my king [bushveld rosette] to try n pass naturally while the BHR/BSR are ochre gnawrock'd

TRIPLE ROS ATTEMPT ONE:
Items used: x2 gnaws, x2 leopard tail, black stallion, buffalo scrotum, great tit, opal saltlick
link to mothers page

RESULTS;
cub one:

Slot 2: Auburn Quail Flecks (40%) Tier 3
Slot 4: Sunset Crackle (16%) Tier 3
Slot 6: Murk Shimmer (31%) Tier 3
Slot 7: Bushveld Soft Rosette (100%) Tier 4
Slot 8: Bushveld Heavy Rosette (100%) Tier 4

>no triple ros<

cub two:

Slot 1: Feline 4 Silky (36%) Tier 2
Slot 4: Sunset Crackle (9%) Tier 3
Slot 7: Bushveld Soft Rosette (100%) Tier 4
Slot 8: Bushveld Heavy Rosette (100%) Tier 4

>no triple ros<

cub three:

Slot 1: Feline 4 Silky (35%) Tier 2
Slot 2: Auburn Quail Flecks (40%) Tier 3
Slot 4: Sunset Crackle (16%) Tier 3
Slot 7: Bushveld Soft Rosette (100%) Tier 4
Slot 8: Bushveld Heavy Rosette (100%) Tier 4
Slot 10: White Mottled Vents (56%) Tier 6

>no triple ros<
*this cub is my fav tho, definitely keeping her :)

cub four:

Slot 5: Algae Roan (35%) Tier 1
Slot 6: Murk Shimmer (33%) Tier 3
Slot 7: Bushveld Soft Rosette (100%) Tier 4
Slot 8: Bushveld Heavy Rosette (100%) Tier 4
Slot 10: White Mottled Vents (59%) Tier 6

>no triple ros<

0/4 cubs pass slot 3

question: if i remove some of my king's misc. markings [some of the tier 3 applicator markings that passed onto every cub] would this help rosettes pass or do they pass of their own accord?

If would help a tiny bit, but it won't boost them. It just would prevent the other mark from rolling instead.

tomorrow i am going to try for another triple rosette with these two gals

Slot 3: Bushveld Rosette (100%) Tier 4
Slot 4: Sunset Crackle (45%) Tier 3
Slot 5: Bushveld Crackle (43%) Tier 2
Slot 6: Murk Shimmer (67%) Tier 3
Slot 7: Bushveld Soft Rosette (100%) Tier 4

Slot 1: Feline 4 Silky (26%) Tier 2
Slot 2: Marigold Rims (60%) Tier 2
Slot 3: Bushveld Rosette (100%) Tier 4
Slot 4: Sunset Crackle (49%) Tier 3
Slot 6: Murk Shimmer (79%) Tier 3
Slot 7: Bushveld Soft Rosette (100%) Tier 4
Slot 10: Bushveld Rogue (63%) Tier 2

Gnaws on Slot 4 & Slot 8 [Slot 8 BHR on stud] -> Maybe BSR will have an easier time passing that BR? *
Leopard Tail even though I'm pretty sure they don't do anything for this intended purpose but why not throw them in anyways
Buff scrotes

*In my scrying stone tests, Bushveld Rosette had a consistent pass rate of around 1%, and Bushveld Soft Rosette had a pass rate of 0.4%. [Bushveld Heavy Rosette 0.28%, will always be gnawed lol]
In my stud reqs, people will more frequently get a BSR than a BR though. If I get a triple ros from these girls it'll help me confirm the pass rates. Either way the odds are pretty low, but I'm so curious about HOW low

Will it let you use both a gnaw and the ochre powder?

Edit: Nvm just resalized it's for non ros marks

UPDATES:

UPDATED PASS RATES:
bushveld rosette pass rate: 1.0%
bushveld heavy rosette pass rate: 0.28%
bushveld soft rosette pass rate: 0.26%
bushveld shaded rosette successful pass rate: 0.36%

*based on scrying stone
*so far, not a single above rosette has naturally passed from parents onto cub

i just had my first triple rosette born today!

Items used: 2 ochre gnawrocks, 1 buffalo scrotum, 1 leopard tail, 1 opal saltlick

Cream Inverted Shaded Rosette is my third ros instead of the Bushveld Rosette in slot 3 that both parents possess, that i was hoping to pass. for a triple bushveld rosette cub....

I want to give up on leopard tails but they pose an interesting addition to the mix of breeding items im using to try and get (eventually) a quad rosette:

1. rosettes are always randomly added
2. the rosette i want is in this "random" rosette pool as proven by this scrying stone result;

note that both parents had bushveld ros in slot 3 but it is more likely for it to appear randomly in slot 20 than it is for it to pass in slot 3, the slot where both parents have bushveld rosette.

if all of this is a 0.01% chance anyways, is it best to keep using leopard tails to hope that the random boost will randomly and perfectly result in the rosette i want? maybe so! i will keep testing whenever i get my hands on ochre gnawrocks!

WILD update on this: i had a 4 cub litter with THREE TRIPLE ROSETTES (and one double ros). i have come to a few conspiratorial conclusions. take this with a grain of salt, but a big grain, as i have spent over 35 gnawrocks figuring this out in real time and probably 4000 sb in the scrying stone.

-bushveld rosettes pass easier with cream light/medium bases
-breeding at night results in better results
-feline markings have nothing to do with this, but do commonly pass onto my rosette lions more than non-rosette lions

technically i DID breed a triple bushveld rosette yesterday. FINALLY!

she's the only cub with two bushveld heavy rosettes in game right now.

i bred with the triple rosette mentioned in the previous update
items used:
-leopard tail
-buffalo scrotum
-ochre gnawrock (hum hum BuR slot 3)
-ochre gnawrock (x3 ros BuHR slot 8)

bushveld heavy rosette appeared randomly through the leopard tail in slot 6 (which is cool but tragic, as i was hoping for BuSR in slot 7, which both parents have). NOTE that the odds for a random bushveld rosette appearing are the same as both parents having the same rosette in the same slot

both parents did have a medium solid base so i believe thats the reason for the random rosettes being the colors they are -- it seems gold [gold inverted shaded], and fallow [inverted rosette fallow] are linked to cream or light bases. yet to determine whether its specific to cream light or cream medium or just light bases in general.?

^ two other triple rosettes from this litter

heres what i know now;
-continuing testing on cream bases
-leopard tail helps bc of how low the initial odds are
-LEOPARD TAIL ON CREAM BASES HAS RESULTED IN THE FOLLOWING RANDOM ROSETTE COLORS:
-BUSHVELD
-INVERTED FALLOW (SHADED)
-INVERTED GOLD
-INVERTED CREAM (SHADED)
