So, it's an entirely natural thing for runts to be born in litters from various animals. My suggestion is that runts be incorporated into Lioden in the higher litters (2 or 3 as it stands). Runts would be noticeably smaller than their siblings, and they'd also be able to pass away before reaching adulthood. Runts would also possibly expect a shorter lifespan (10-14 yrs?). When a runt is born, it'd have messages sort of like the lethal mutation cubs. Depending on the experience of the mother (this could be decided on many factors such as level, age, stats, number of litters) would decide if the runt survives or not. Is it nice? No. Is it gentle? No. But it's real. --- EDIT: An item could also be added to the Oasis / Monkey Shop (nourishing milk) that would 'nourish' the runt cub and remove all ill effects from it being a runt. |

Maybe, if it is a lioness, it could have, like, half the usual ammount of hunts so that they would be slightly less wanted by players like a lion wouldn't want to take care of it in real life? 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'd love this idea! Support! Also, I think that a good addition to this idea would be that if they're a lioness, they wouldn't be able to hunt because they'd be weaker and if male then it wouldn't be able to patrol in order to fend off potential enemies because once again, It'd be weaker. also maybe that the max. amount of stats they could have is 150 or something. 0 players like this post! i'd be neat to give the runt to a more experienced mother who currently doesn't have a litter. Maybe she also wouldnt be able to hunt during this time to ensure the runt survives? I'd definitely support the nursing option as long as it's an sb monkey shop item as gb is very hard on some player's stashes. Maybe the mutation cleanser would also work on runts? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Support! This could be another feature that helps cut down on a cub population a bit.(: 0 players like this post! Like? |

"Runts" aren't necessarily a genetic based defect though. It could just be that it's intake while growing/developing before birth was less than that of the siblings in the litter. It does have a harder time finding nourishment and all that, but as long as it has developed in the same way as their larger siblings, it is still genetically just as healthy and like the others in their litter. A 'runt' at birth, if given the same nourishment as the larger siblings gain in growth faster than them and may even surpass them in size and weight before weaning. Also, we spend 40+ GBs, 500 Event item currency just to get Buffalo Scrotum to ensure larger litters. Then the stud-fee if you're breeding outside of your den. I certainly would 'not' want large litters if it means that one or more of those cubs within that litter aren't given the same in game chances of survival. Maybe if there is a 5th cub born and it auto-dies like some lethal mutations, but had no other function in the game after that. Then that would be fine... Runts aren't a rare occurrence and we already have Cub deaths in the game via killing, not protecting, etc. I just don't see the point in going through that much effort. I personally don't want to spend tons of GB and get a runt then have to turn around and pay GB again to keep it alive just because I like it or if it is the cub I wanted from the litter.. etc. If you wish to have a runt, just make so and so cub born in the litter a runt and role him or her that way. :) ---- I apologize for the babbling and if my tone is a bit harsh, both aren't intended. Just my opinion. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support I understand it would are frustrating to spend tons of gb on breeding items to receive larger litters only to have one of them die due to being a runt, but there is also lethal mutations that can do the exact same thing. I'm sure people have lost amazing cubs to lethal muts. so this would be no different. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Runts don't die most of the time in the wild so I don't really understand why it would die, I can see having stat penalties or even fertility penalties and even maybe it has a harder time in training. they are just simply smaller, honestly this isn't much different from a dwarf. I could understand them dying if they were like the peanuts rabbits have which have gotten two copies of the dwarf gene and are half the size of their siblings and never live past a few days. but otherwise I don't see a point in this. 0 players like this post!
